Abstract

1. Camouflaged hangar, secure against firing and against indirect and particularly direct impact of bombs and explosion, as shelter for individual military aircraft (4), particularly interceptor planes, for immediate readiness for action and take-off from this shelter after an attack on the airport, whereby the shelter can be hydraulically lowered into the ground (3) of the airport, particularly by means of four hydraulic cylinders (5) which are located on the sides, its roof (2) being on the same level as the surrounding ground (3), characterized in that the hangar has several, in particular two shelters which can be moved independently of each other and which enclose an underground crew's quarter and/or machinery room and/or maintenance room (6) which is separated by doors and which is located underneath the lowered parking area (1), the roof (2) of each shelter being only laterally connected with the parking area (1) of the shelter, so that the lifted parking area (1) which then will be located on the same level as the ground of the airport will be accessible with the airplane both from the front and from the back.

Description

The invention relates to a camouflaged hangar, safe against shelling and against indirect, in particular direct, bomb and explosion effects, as a protective space for individual military aircraft, in particular interceptors, for immediate operational readiness and starting possibility from this protective space after an attack on the airport.

From DE-OSn 3 149 971, 1 684 698 and 2 729 769 and AT-PS 272 594 garages with lowerable parking spaces for keeping the traffic areas for individual vehicles are known.

The use of such fully mechanized garages as a shelter is not recommended. The formation of mechanical shelters for aircraft, in particular military aircraft, is also not known.

It is also known to arrange aircraft hangars or shelters more or less camouflaged above ground, which are arranged separately from one another on the airport site. Such above-ground structures have the disadvantage that they are arranged above the ground surface of the airport and thus identify the airport as an airport. Another disadvantage is that the aircraft from such rooms with Zugvorrichtun must be pulled out since jet engines are only allowed to run outdoors. In addition, explosion-proof hangar doors are a problem in themselves due to their size.

The invention has set itself the task of addressing the disadvantages mentioned. The invention is characterized in that the shelter can be lowered into the floor of the airport, the roof of which, in the lowered state, is level or approximately level with the floor of the environment and is only connected laterally to the parking space of the shelter, so that the then extended with the floor of the airport level parking space is accessible both from the front and from behind by plane and that in particular the parking space can be moved hydraulically, for example by four hydraulic cylinders arranged on the side. Essential design features are specified in the subclaims. A major advantage of the invention is also seen in the fact that, in addition to the protective function of the hangar, there is also immediate operational readiness and starting possibility even after an attack on the airport, in that it is not necessary for the machines to be pulled out of or into the protective space by towing vehicles are feasible. Some simplification resulting from the abolition of the Han g ar gates. Another significant advantage is seen in the fact that the invention makes it easier to classify the airport in nature, so that it is located less easily from above and the shelter itself can be camouflaged. Because the protective fences are underground, they can also be rolled over, which also results in a reduction in the size of the necessary airfield and a natural camouflage.

The invention is shown schematically and for example in the attached drawing in FIGS. 1 and 2. Fig. 1 shows a parking space at floor level in elevation, Fig. 2 shows the same embodiment in the lowered state.

The parking space in FIGS. 1 and 2 is box-shaped and is accessible from two sides in the extended state, so that the aircraft (4) from the parking space (1) can start under its own power or can be brought under the roof. This advantage is essential for the readiness to take off, since no towing vehicles are required to pull the aircraft to be taken out of the hangar. On the two long sides of the parking space, hydraulic cylinders (5), in particular two on each side, are arranged, with which the parking space (1) can be lowered so far that the roof (2) is flush with the floor (3) of the surroundings.

As a result of this measure, the parking space is free and can be overrun, for example. For military purposes, the roof can of course be greened or built on, for example provided with a taxiway covering, so that it is completely camouflaged and cannot be recognized as a parking space by incoming aircraft. For safety reasons, it is advantageous to arrange a parking space for a single aircraft, so that the probability of hitting bombs can be kept low. It is a question of the design of the roof structure of the parking space to record any hits and to protect the parking space underneath. In the immediate vicinity of the individual parking spaces, in particular below the parking space, team rooms (6) can be provided, in which the crews can spend the waiting time for the aircraft on their own parking space or for neighboring parking spaces. Maintenance rooms can also be connected. For this purpose, a pair or cloverleaf arrangement of the individual Parking spaces are an advantage, with the individual rooms being closed off by doors. This has the effect that direct hits are limited in their effect on the space hit. In particular, equipping such lowerable parking spaces with hydraulic devices allows the aircraft to be moved very quickly from the underground level to the ground level, it being possible for initial checks to be carried out on the aircraft during the vertical movement. If several parking spaces are arranged side by side, there is the advantage that the individual hydraulic units for actuating the lifting device can be designed in such a way that either an accelerated drive takes place or that even if one unit fails, another unit may take over the operation of the individual platforms one after the other . In the context of the invention, it is also possible to provide mechanical windworks instead of the hydraulic lifting devices.

A major advantage of the invention is seen in the radiation safety in the lowered state of the parking space, so that the operational readiness of air defense is maintained after an atomic accident or first strike.
