Definitions
- the invention relates to a push-button connection of the type mentioned in the preamble of claim 1.
- the assembly consists of a push button part and a fastening part used, its holding elements, for example bendable prongs, do not come into contact with the counter-holding members used on the carrier face side during a dyeing process, which are produced for themselves in a separate manufacturing process.
- the contact of the tines with the male or female dome surfaces or flange plates of the adjacent push button parts is of no importance, because these elements come to lie on the inside of the garment, invisible from the outside anyway.
- the invention has recognized that this coupling between the safety of engagement and the closing force when coupling the push button parts is not necessary.
- the invention is therefore based on the object of developing an inexpensive push-button connection of the type mentioned in the preamble of claim 1, which is characterized by easy and convenient handling without the safety of the push-button parts being impaired thereby. This is achieved according to the invention by the measures specified in the characterizing part of claim 1, which have the following special significance.
- the matrix-shaped coupling surfaces in the ring area around the central hole assume a fundamentally different position before the coupling to thicken the cooperating matrix-shaped coupling surfaces than after coupling, which is why the closing force on the one hand and the opening force on the other hand result in different effects.
- the dome surfaces formed by the flange plate run through the funnel shape with an inclination to the axis of the male dome surfaces, which is pronounced of an arrow shape.
- the funnel-shaped lowering finally gives the dome surfaces a centering effect; the male dome surfaces are automatically directed towards the central hole in the female part when pressure is applied.
- the handling of the push button connection is facilitated by the measures of claim 4.
- the dome-like bulge in fact allows high forces to be exerted, which have no risk of deformation on the entire circumferential surface of the counter-member and bring about the desired deformations of the tine ends of the fastening part designed as a toothed ring.
- These measures also have an inventive significance independent of claim 1.
- the counter ring is often enclosed by an ornamental cap, which in turn is made of plastic and can be colored. It is easily possible, as is evident from claim 5, to use a calotte, if necessary, of a much larger dimension than the counter-member. Nevertheless, a uniform coloring of the plastic can be achieved if the central area is formed into a separate cup, in which the counter-member can be accommodated. This results largely in the same wall thicknesses everywhere in the spherical cap, which accordingly permits uniform coloring. For the same reason, the protruding areas of such a large calotte should then be provided with a honeycomb structure.
- the die part 10 consists of a flange plate 11, which is provided with a raised peripheral edge 12, and of a central hole 13 in the flange plate 11 with radial slots 14 extending therefrom, whereby matrix-shaped coupling surfaces are produced in this plate zone.
- the flange plate 11 On the side opposite in the peripheral edge 12, the flange plate 11 has a central funnel-shaped depression 16 in its course, in the middle of which the aforementioned male-shaped coupling surfaces 15 are located.
- the funnel wall 16 is lowered from the front side 17 of the later die part 10.
- the funnel wall 16 extends at an inclination angle 19 in relation to a plane 18, which is defined by the circumferential region of the flange plate 11 and is indicated by dash-dotted lines in FIG. 4.
- the fastening part 20 as can be seen from the sectional view of FIG. 3, consists of a so-called "prong ring", the holding elements of which consist of prongs 21, the ends 22 of which, by simple bending, provide the required deformations for fastening purposes.
- the toothed ring 20 is made of a metallic material, namely sheet metal.
- the tines 21 sit on an annular body 23, which in the present case is designed in the shape of a circular ring.
- the toothed ring 20 is produced by punching from the sheet material, said cut out the tines 21 in the space enclosed by the annular body 23 opening 28, and then strength in a right-angled to the annular body 23 according to location F.
- the annular body 23 has an outer diameter 24 which is less than / equal to the inside width 25 of the raised peripheral edge 12 of the die part 10, that is to say at most the inner diameter of the flange plate 11 is the same.
- the die assembly 26 is pressed against the counter-holding member 33 with the support 3o lying in between.
- the tines 21 drill through the material of the carrier 3o and the tine ends 22 pass through the ring opening 35 into the interior of the ring chamber 34, where they meet the inclined ring inner wall 36 and are therefore bent over.
- the tine ends 22 are rolled into the annular chamber 34 and the desired connection between the die part 10 and the counter-holding member 33 occurs.
- the carrier 3o is provided with the die part lo.
- the sheet metal body of the counter-holding member 33 which is made of metallic material, has in the inner space 37 enclosed by the annular chamber 34 a dome-like bulge 38, which is arched up with respect to the ring opening 35 of the chamber 34 to the opposite side of the counter-holding member 33 and generates a central pressure surface 39 there .
- This pressure surface 39 is first of all important for the fastening process of the die assembly 26 because the two parts 26, 33 are pressed against each other.
- the bulge 38 with the pressure surface 39 primarily has the task of effective manual pressure application, however goes to couple the matrix part lo with a male part, which will be explained in detail.
- the counter-holding member 33 could be used as such, for optical reasons the aim is to cover this metallic sheet metal body 33 towards the front side by a spherical cap 40 which can now perform all the decorative functions known per se.
- a spherical cap 40 which can now perform all the decorative functions known per se.
- the spherical cap 40 is in turn combined with the counter-holding member 33 to form a structural unit 41 indicated in FIG. 5, which can be subjected to the coloring process in this state. Because the prongs 21 are not part of this assembly 41, no scratches or deformations can occur.
- the tines 21 are rather part of the other matrix assembly, which can be colored by itself; there scratches on the die part 10 are meaningless because this assembly 26 comes to rest on the rear side 31 of the support 3o and is covered in any case by the male part 5o, which is still to be mentioned.
- FIG. 6 shows an alternative for the formation of a spherical cap 42 which has a dimension which is substantially larger than the diameter 43 shown in FIG. 6.
- the cap 42 is only shown with its inner area in FIG. 6.
- the calotte 42 On the underside facing the support 3o, the calotte 42 has a cup 44 which has a clear width 45 adapted to the diameter 43 of the counter-holding member 33.
- the structural unit is produced from the calotte 42 and the counter-holding member 33.
- the link 33 is inserted into the interior of the bowl 44 and the bowl walls 46 there are folded over in a manner similar to that of the edge regions 47 of the cap 4o which can be seen in FIG. 5.
- the outer sheet metal walls of the counter-holding member 33 formed around the annular chamber 34 are encompassed.
- the areas 48 lying outside the cup 44 are advantageously provided with a honeycomb structure, of which FIG. 6 shows radial ribs 49.
- the underside of the spherical cap 42 is finally provided with teeth 29 which penetrate into the upper side 32 of the carrier 3o shown in FIG. 5 in the fastening state and thereby cause the holding member assembly to be secured against rotation, in which the counter holding element 33 has been equipped with the spherical cap 42.
- FIG. 7 shows the male part 5o complementary to the female part 10o before it is combined with a corresponding toothed ring 20o to form a male structural unit 56 corresponding to FIG. 4, the analogous appearance of which is best 8 can be seen.
- the p atric part shown in FIG. 7 also consists of a flange plate 51 which is equipped with an initially angled peripheral edge 52.
- the male domed surfaces 55 On the upper side of the flange plate 51 there are the male domed surfaces 55, which here have a mushroom shape, namely consist of a neck-shaped shaft 53 with a head-like thickening 54 at the end.
- the flange plate 51 is provided coaxially to the male axis 57 indicated by dash-dotted lines in FIG.
- the male part 5c is preassembled with the prong ring 2o to form the assembly 56, in which the male part 5o, which is made of plastic, can be colored as well as the corresponding female part lo.
- the male-shaped dome surface 55 with its head thickening 54 first hits against the funnel wall 16.
- the conical outer surface 61 indicated in FIG. 3 on the face side 3 of the die part 10 interacts in a self-centering manner with the head thickening 54; the axis 57 of the male assembly 56 is aligned with the axis 62 of the female assembly 26. It is significant that the inclination 6 3 indicated in FIG.
- FIG. 4 of the funnel wall 16 is an insertion Direction 64 of the male-shaped dome surfaces 55 facing lowering with respect to the flange 18 mentioned.
- the resulting conditions are illustrated in the half-section of FIG. 10 in a large magnification, the cut in FIG. 2 being illustrated by the section line XX.
- the insertion movement indicated by the arrow 64 in FIG. 10 continues, an elastic deformation work is carried out on the funnel wall 16 executed.
- the funnel wall 16 is elastic in itself, but is stiffened on the back by the ring body 23 during such an insertion movement 64 and can consequently only bend in front of the ring inner edge 81.
- the position of the bending point 66 is indicated in Fig. 10 by a cross.
- the lower perforated edge 65 moves approximately on the circular arc 67 indicated by dashed lines in FIG. 10.
- the contour edge 68 of the thickened head 54 moves approximately on the dashed line 69, which in the following is briefly referred to as "movement line 69 10”
- the funnel wall 16 from its initial position 63, in the rest state must deform by the angle ⁇ 1 to an inclined position 63 'in order to let the thickened head 54 pass through on its perforated edge.
- the funnel wall has been deformed up to the deformation layer 16 'indicated by dash-dotted lines in FIG. 10.
- the edge of the hole has reached the corresponding position 65 ′ and lies on the line of motion 69 — of the head outline 68 of the male part 50.
- a relatively small closing force P1 is required for this, which is shown in FIG short arrow is illustrated.
- the head thickening 54 can be passed through the hole 13 in the die part 10 and 9 reaches the coupling position of the male assembly 56 in the female assembly 26, which can be seen in FIG. 9. Because of the elastic properties of its material, the funnel wall snaps back from its deformation position 16 ′, which can be seen in FIG. 10, back into its initial position 16 and the head thickening 54 9 engages behind the funnel wall 16 according to FIG. 9. In this coupled state, the funnel walls 16 are arrow-shaped in this coupled state, in relation to the male axis of the coupling surfaces 55 indicated in FIG. 9. The head thickening 54 acts in this arrow shape with its apex region 70 like an "arrowhead".
- the lines of inclination 63 and 63 ′′ are indicated in FIG. 11.
- a much larger deformation of the funnel wall by a deformation angle ⁇ 2 must be carried out in order to convert the originally concave inclination 63 into the convex inclination 63.
- the funnel wall 16, which is lowered at the beginning, must deform into an arched protuberance position 16 ′′ over a middle dead center position. Consequently, a relatively large opening force P2 must be applied when uncoupling, as is marked by a correspondingly large arrow in FIG. 11.

Abstract
In a push-button connection, where prefabricated units are used for the male and female parts, which consist of the actual, male-shaped or male-shaped dome surfaces and push-button parts and associated fastening parts with the piercing holding elements, it is known that the female dome surfaces in the female part from a central Make a hole in the flange plate there. The ends of the holding elements of such a structural unit emerging on the opposite side of the carrier are received in a counter holding member and deformed there. In order to achieve a high level of engagement security, which nevertheless requires only low closing forces when inserting the two-sided coupling surfaces of the male and female part, it is proposed to design the flange plate of the female part in its ring zone surrounding the central hole as a funnel wall, which is lowered in the direction of the insertion movement of the male-shaped coupling surfaces is.
Description
The invention relates to a push-button connection of the type mentioned in the preamble of claim 1.
In these snap fastener connections (DE-A 33 36 550), it has already been proposed to let the fastening part form a prefabricated structural unit with the snap fastener part, which are carried out from one side of the carrier with the holding elements, in order to accommodate one in the corresponding receptacles to be anchored on the opposite side of the support. This is not only advantageous for the assembly of the push button, but also provides advantages in the manufacture of the push button parts because of the gentler treatment that is now possible. This is particularly the case if prong rings with sharp bendable prongs are used as the fastening part, which cause scratches or damage to those components of the connection if these parts are piled up and in particular are moved in such piles. This results, for example, when coloring the plastic of the parts, for which the parts have to be circulated in a drum.
The assembly consists of a push button part and a fastening part used, its holding elements, for example bendable prongs, do not come into contact with the counter-holding members used on the carrier face side during a dyeing process, which are produced for themselves in a separate manufacturing process. The contact of the tines with the male or female dome surfaces or flange plates of the adjacent push button parts is of no importance, because these elements come to lie on the inside of the garment, invisible from the outside anyway.
Although these push-button connections have proven themselves, the handling of the male and female parts during the coupling process has been unsatisfactory. Good engagement security of the coupling surfaces on both sides is present when a high opening force has to be exerted in order to bring the two push-button parts into the uncoupling state. This required comparatively large differences in the dimensions of the dome surfaces on both sides. This necessarily also had an effect on the fact that a correspondingly large closing force must be applied when the two-sided dome surfaces are brought into engagement. In the known push button connection there is therefore a high degree of coupling security only at the expense of a correspondingly high closing force when the push button parts are brought together. In order not to let the latter force become too high, large dimensional differences have been dispensed with and the disadvantage accepted that the safety of the clutch engagement has been reduced accordingly. It was believed that the safety of engagement could only be improved with an appropriate level of the closing force to be used for coupling.
The invention has recognized that this coupling between the safety of engagement and the closing force when coupling the push button parts is not necessary. The invention is therefore based on the object of developing an inexpensive push-button connection of the type mentioned in the preamble of claim 1, which is characterized by easy and convenient handling without the safety of the push-button parts being impaired thereby. This is achieved according to the invention by the measures specified in the characterizing part of claim 1, which have the following special significance.
Due to the lowered funnel wall of the flange plate, the matrix-shaped coupling surfaces in the ring area around the central hole assume a fundamentally different position before the coupling to thicken the cooperating matrix-shaped coupling surfaces than after coupling, which is why the closing force on the one hand and the opening force on the other hand result in different effects. The dome surfaces formed by the flange plate run through the funnel shape with an inclination to the axis of the male dome surfaces, which is reminiscent of an arrow shape. With the closing force, i.e. when the coupling surfaces on both sides are to be guided into one another, the force is exerted in the direction of the lowering, while conversely, when uncoupling, the movement against the funnel shape is to be carried out, which is why a significantly higher opening force is then to be expected. In the former case, the matrix-shaped dome surfaces only need to deform a little to allow the thickening of the male dome surfaces to pass through, whereas in the latter case, when it comes to decoupling the engaging dome surfaces, a much larger one must be used Deformation work are performed, which is accordingly reflected in a high opening force. In the invention, a push-button connection is obtained which is easy to close but difficult to open again. This makes handling easier when closing, but the level of security is very high.
The funnel-shaped lowering finally gives the dome surfaces a centering effect; the male dome surfaces are automatically directed towards the central hole in the female part when pressure is applied.
To promote the resilient engagement relationship, it is advisable, according to claim 2, to provide a deformable annular zone in the flange plate of the push-button part, which in particular has male-shaped coupling surfaces. This acts as an elastic buffer, which also produces different effects when closing and opening the dome surfaces. During the closing process, the flange plate of the male part is supported on the counter member located on the back of the support, so that the deformation is ineffective for elastic movements. On the other hand, when the push-button connection is opened, the deformable ring zone in the flange plate is stretched, as a result of which the elasticity of this ring zone results in a restoring force which tends to return the area with the male-shaped dome surfaces, which is raised relative to the flange plate, back to the starting position. In connection with the above-mentioned high opening force in the push-button connection according to the invention, this has the result that a desired opening of the push-button only occurs when the restoring force generated by the elasticity of the ring zone in the male part has been overcome. The push button connection gives way a little without the push button immediately open, because this requires the higher opening force.
The handling of the push button connection is facilitated by the measures of claim 4. The dome-like bulge in fact allows high forces to be exerted, which have no risk of deformation on the entire circumferential surface of the counter-member and bring about the desired deformations of the tine ends of the fastening part designed as a toothed ring. These measures also have an inventive significance independent of claim 1.
The counter ring is often enclosed by an ornamental cap, which in turn is made of plastic and can be colored.

In its initial form, the
The
Lo and the

For attachment, the
The sheet metal body of the
Although the
In the case of the widened
Dies ist bei Gebrauch der Druckknopfverbindung von Bedeutung, die im Zusammenhang mit den Fig. 8 bis 11 näher erläutert wird.FIG. 7 shows the male part 5o complementary to the female part 10o before it is combined with a corresponding toothed ring 20o to form a male
As already mentioned, the male part 5c is preassembled with the prong ring 2o to form the
After this deformation 16 ', the head thickening 54 can be passed through the
When the two push-
This results in that the
Unter Bezugnahme auf die im Zusammenhang mit Fig. 7 erläuterten Verhältnisse ist die unterschiedliche Wirkungsweise der verformbaren Ringzone 58 beim Kuppeln gemäßWith reference to the relationships explained in connection with FIG. 7, the different mode of action of the
Fig. 8 und Entkuppeln gemäß Fig. 9 zu beachten. Die Ringzone 58 ist daher in ihrer Elastizität unwirksam.8 and uncoupling according to FIG. 9 must be observed. Because the holding member assembly 41 already mentioned in connection with FIG. 5 is present on the back of the carrier, the
Conversely, when uncoupling in the sense of the

flange plate 11 is provided with acoaxial groove 75, which is, however, interrupted byradial reinforcing webs 76, which are each arranged in alignment with theradial slots 14 of the matrix-shaped coupling surfaces 15 mentioned. The Radialschlitze 14 each lie in the longitudinal center of these reinforcingribs 76. Thegrooves 75 thus form portions 77 which lie by profiled recesses on theconvex surface side 78 to the funnel wall sixteenth Thegroove 75 has, as in FIG. 12 results, seen in radial section, aconical opening profile 79, the tip 8o of which is directed toward theperipheral edge 12 of theflange plate 11 mentioned.
