Abstract

The hand brush (10) has a grip part (15) constructed as a reservoir (16) for a cleaning liquid. The liquid outlet channel (14), constructed in the bristle bearer (12), can be closed by means of a spring-loaded closure member (20) which has a projection (21) projecting through the liquid outlet channel (14) and into the bristle region, which projection has a shorter length than the bristles (13) both in their position of rest and under their normal load of operating pressure. Only under greater pressure on the hand brush (10) does the projection (21) come into contact with the surface to be cleaned, which leads to the exposure of the liquid outlet channel (14) by raising the closure member (20, 20a). <IMAGE>

Description

The invention relates to a hand brush with a handle part designed as a storage for a cleaning liquid and a bristle holder provided with at least one liquid outlet channel. It is already known to combine hand brushes with a storage for a cleaning liquid or for a cleaning paste. In the known hand brushes of this type, the cleaning liquid either runs automatically out of one or more liquid outlet channels into the bristles or is given into the bristle area by actuating an outlet valve by hand or by squeezing through outlet channels. An uncontrolled outflow of the cleaning liquid has proven to be disadvantageous because the outflow cannot be controlled and the cleaning liquid is therefore consumed far too quickly. Squeezing out cleaning fluid or cleaning paste practically forces the cleaning action to be interrupted if a targeted supply of cleaning agent to the work area is to be achieved here. Also the training of hand-controlled valve devices has proven to be impractical and also requires a relatively large set-up effort, which makes the hand brushes significantly more expensive.

The invention has for its object to provide a hand brush of the type mentioned in such a way that it allows an arbitrary control of the dispensing of cleaning fluid in its bristle area in a simple manner and with simple constructive means, without the cleaning process having to be interrupted.

The object is achieved in that the liquid outlet channel is provided with a movable closure member which is provided with a projection protruding into the bristle region of the hand brush, the part of the closure member projection protruding from the liquid outlet channel into the bristle region being shorter than that Bristles both in their rest position and at normal working pressure. This means that it is possible to work with a hand brush designed according to the invention at normal working pressure without liquid being released from the hand brush memory. Only when the bristles of the bristle holder are bent more than usual by an increased pressure on the hand brush, can the closing member projection meet the surface to be cleaned and thereby the liquid outlet channel can be opened by lifting the closing member to release cleaning liquid. The part of the closing member projection protruding into the bristle region is expediently made of a soft, non-scratchy material, for example a shorter bristle or a shorter bristle tuft existing, so that the increased pressure on the hand brush while continuing the cleaning process can be exerted without the risk that an object to be cleaned is scratched by the locking member projection.

In a hand brush designed according to the invention, the wall of the handle part can also be at least partially flexible, so that when the increased pressure on the bristles is exerted, pressure is also exerted on the handle part with a tendency to reduce the content of the storage space for the cleaning liquid leads to a squeezing of cleaning fluid through the raised closing member and makes separate ventilation of the storage space unnecessary or facilitates forced ventilation via the liquid outlet channel.

A hand brush designed according to the invention can be inexpensively manufactured from a few individual parts. Your grip part can advantageously end in a fill opening that can be closed by a screw cap. The closing member can expediently consist of a simple resilient flap or of a spring-loaded closing plate with a pin-like projection protruding into the liquid outlet channel at a distance from its wall. The locking member projection protruding into and beyond the liquid outlet channel ensures at the same time an automatic cleaning of the outlet channel and the loosening of dried-on cleaning agent residues by its movement, which it experiences when it is actuated.

An exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is explained in more detail below with reference to the accompanying drawing.

Im einzelnen zeigen:

  • Fig. 1 einen schematischen zentralen Längsschnitt durch eine runde und rotationssymmetrische Handbürste;
  • Fig. 2 die Handbürste nach Fig. 1 in Explosionsdarstellung ihrer Einzelteile im zentralen Längsschnitt;
  • Fig. 3 einen schematischen Querschnitt durch den Borstenträger einer abgewandelten Ausführungsform der Handbürste;
In detail show:
  • Figure 1 is a schematic central longitudinal section through a round and rotationally symmetrical hand brush.
  • FIG. 2 shows the hand brush according to FIG. 1 in an exploded view of its individual parts in a central longitudinal section;
  • 3 shows a schematic cross section through the bristle carrier of a modified embodiment of the hand brush;

The hand brush 10, which is designed to be rotationally symmetrical with respect to an axis 11, has a round bristle carrier 12 or 12 a which is covered with bristle tufts 13 on its outside and has a central through opening 14 which forms a liquid outlet channel. Adjoining the bristle carrier 12 is a rotationally symmetrical hollow handle part 15, the interior of which forms a reservoir 16 for cleaning liquid, which can be filled in through an upper opening 17 of the handle part 15. The upper opening 17 of the handle part 15 is provided with an internal thread 18 and can be closed by means of a screw cap 19 which is rounded in a convenient manner.

The through opening 14 of the bristle carrier 12 of the embodiment according to FIGS. 1 and 2 forming the liquid outlet channel can be closed on the inside of the bristle carrier 12 by a plate-shaped closing member 20 which has a peg-like projection 21 which projects through the through opening 14 to the outside. The peg-shaped projection 21 is made of a soft, non-scratchy material and can have longitudinal grooves. Its part protruding into the area of the bristles 13 is essential. Lich shorter than the length of the bristles 13 in their rest position shown in the drawing. A disk spring 22 bears against the closing member 20 and is supported in its edge area on an inner step 23 of the handle part 15. The plate spring 22 can be designed as a simple spiral spring provided with through openings (not shown) or can be replaced by a spring bar supported with both ends on the inside of the handle part 15. According to the embodiment according to FIG. 3, the closing member 20a itself can be designed as a spring flap attached to the bristle body 12a by means of a rivet or a screw 24.

The length of the protrusion 21 of the closing member 20 or 20a projecting into the region of the bristles 13 is selected such that this protrusion does not come into contact with the surface to be cleaned even under normal working pressure and the bristles 13 bending out here. The projection 21 is only acted upon by increased pressure on the hand brush by the hand guiding it when working with the brush and leads to the liquid outlet channel 14 being opened by lifting off the closing member 20 or 20 a. The distance between the wall of the passage channel 14 and the projection 21 or longitudinal grooves of the projection 21 is adapted to the The consistency of the cleaning liquid is chosen so large that cleaning liquid can escape through the opened liquid outlet channel and air can flow in. The wall of the handle part 15 can also be made flexible in places, so that when the contact pressure on the hand brush is increased, a contact pressure on the cleaning liquid accommodated in the storage space 16 can be effective, which promotes the outflow of the cleaning liquid. Ventilation of the storage space 16 can, however, also be brought about by a flap valve which is arranged in the screw cap 19 and is not shown and is known per se, which prevents cleaning fluid from flowing out when the hand brush 10 is inclined.
