Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a large clock with a mechanical power drive for the time drive, in particular striking clock, in which the time drive controls one or more mechanically driven striking mechanisms.
B. bei Weckern, bei Tischuhren und Wanduhren, die keine Schlagwerke aufweisen, jedoch mit einer analogen, d.h. herkömmlichen ZeigeranzeigevorrichtungLarge clocks in the context of the invention are understood to be those clocks that are larger than quartz alarm clocks, have a mechanical time-running mechanism that is driven either by a weight or a spring drive and that is usually operated by an inhibitor controller with a gravity pendulum or a spring pendulum (balance ) is controlled. Depending on the type of housing, it can be a wall, floor or table clock, while small clocks, e.g. B. alarm clocks, table clocks and wall clocks that do not have striking mechanisms, but with an analog, i.e. conventional pointer display device
versehen sind, bereits überwiegend quarzgesteuerte Schrittschaltwerke verwendet werden.are provided, mostly quartz-controlled step-by-step mechanisms are used.
Quartz-controlled step-by-step mechanisms, which have been mass-produced for a long time and are therefore also very inexpensive, have so far been available, in particular because of the drive torques required for driving the mechanical time-running mechanisms and controlling mechanical striking mechanisms in large clocks of the type mentioned above not used. The commercially available, quartz-controlled stepping mechanisms designed for small drive torques, whose electromagnetic transducers generally consist of a battery-operated stepper motor, are not suitable for large clocks of the type mentioned, because they are unable to drive the large gears with the large friction losses and the mechanical control lever of the striking mechanism.
The invention has for its object to provide in a clock of the type mentioned the possibility to use a commercially available, quartz-controlled stepping mechanism for the time drive and at the same time that sufficient both for driving the gear train and for driving the control lever of one or more striking mechanisms To ensure drive torque.
This object is achieved according to the invention in that the speed controller of the time drive from a quartz-controlled step there is a switching mechanism, the drive shaft of which is connected to the gear train of the time drive via an inhibiting device in such a way that each switching step of its switching shaft releases the time drive, which is under the torque of its mechanical drive, for a defined angular step.
The particular advantage is the fact that the entire mechanical time drive can be kept in its conventional form and that only the speed controller needs to be replaced by the cheaper and more precise quartz-controlled stepping mechanism. It is also possible to swing a gravity pendulum with the help of the quartz-controlled stepping mechanism, which, however, does not have a control function, but is only maintained as a style element. The inhibiting device ensures that the switching steps of the quartz-controlled stepping mechanism are transferred to the time drive with the correct angle and that the mechanical drive of the timing drive does not impair the accuracy of the quartz-controlled stepping mechanism. Only in this way is it possible, in combination with a mechanical drive, to use a quartz-controlled step-by-step mechanism of a commercially available type, to use with low torque.
For this purpose, the embodiment of the invention according to
The further embodiment of the invention according to offers Proverb 3 a very simple, inexpensive, reliable and completely adjustment-free possibility of realizing an inhibition actuated by the quartz-controlled stepping mechanism.
Through the embodiment of the invention according to claim 4, the simplest translations can also be realized in such quartz-controlled step-by-step mechanisms in which the selector shaft carries out two or more switching steps per revolution, so that the escape wheel shaft can also be a second shaft that makes a full revolution in one minute, for example, in sixty steps. In addition, it is ensured that a switching step of the escape wheel takes place with each switching step of the stepping mechanism.
Another also very simple possibility of creating a self-locking gear connection between the selector shaft of the quartz-controlled stepping mechanism and the time drives under the influence of the drive torque of a mechanical drive is the subject of claim 5.
As is known, the worm gear provided therein makes it possible to implement large gear ratios or reductions in a very simple manner. Here, too, it is easily possible for the worm wheel to operate simultaneously as a second wheel or the worm wheel shaft as a second shaft.
Simple options, with the help of the quartz-controlled stepping mechanism, a gravity pendulum as a style element on Holding vibrations are given in

- 3 shows a mechanical time-controlled drive, which is controlled by a quartz-controlled stepping mechanism via another inhibiting device;

Fig. 1 shows a mechanical time drive, which has two
The switching
In the embodiment of FIG. 3, instead of the
Both in FIG. 1 and in FIG. 3, the pointer mechanisms and also the striking mechanisms and control elements for such striking mechanisms that are usually possible with such clocks are not shown in the drawing for reasons of clarity because they are not necessary for an understanding of the invention.
This switching
In order to avoid harmful effects on the
