Der Thermokopf 6 wird über die Halterung 3 in nachfolgend noch näher zu beschreibender Weise im Bereich seiner Heizpunkte gegen eine Papierbahn 8 gedruckt die rückseitig durch eine gummibeschichtete Transportwalze 7 geführt und abgestützt wird, die auch als Gegendruckwalze bezeichnet werden kann. Die Transportwalze 7 wird durch einen nicht dargestellten Motor angetrieben. Sie bildet also das Gegenlager für die einzelnen, in Reihe dicht nebeneinander angeordneten Heizpunkte 11 des Thermokopfs 6. Um ein sauberes Schriftbild zu erhalten, müssen die Heizpunkte 11 mit einer bestimmten Kraft gleichmäßig gegen die Papierbahn 8 gedrückt werden. Dies wird erfindungsgemäß dadurch erreicht, daß die Halteplatte 3 in Anstellrichtung gegen die Papierbahn 8 in nur einem Auflagepunkt eines noppenartig vorspringenden Ansatzes 3a in der Mitte zwischen den beiden nutartigen Führungen 13 auf der im nicht näher gezeigten Gestell des Laufwerks gelagerten Achse 4 aufliegt Das heißt, der Nutgrund der Führungen 13 berührt die Achse 4 im Normalfall nicht Die Halteplatte 3 ist also einerseits in Vertikalrichtung der Darstellung nur im Bereich der Anschlagflächen 3b, 3c der Führungen 13 und in Horizontal-oder Anstellrichtung nur am Auflagepunkt des Ansatzes 3a abgestützt.
