Definitions
- the known color formers such as crystal violet lactone and the fluoranlactones are very well suited for pressure- and heat-sensitive recording systems, but have the disadvantage of insufficient light fastness in a number of applications.
- the object of the present application was to provide improved color formers in light fastness.
- the color former mixtures according to the invention are therefore very well suited for the production of pressure-sensitive recording systems
- Component (a) corresponds to the formula
- crystal violet lactone and / or fluoranlactones of the formula (II) come into consideration, the latter of which are preferred for (b).
- the mixture generally contains components (a) and (b) in a ratio of 1: 4 to 4: 1, preferably 1: 3 to 3: 1, in particular 0.9: 1, 1 to 1.1: 0.9 Parts by weight.
- a ratio of (a) :( b) of about 1: 1 parts by weight is very particularly preferred.
- the color former mixture according to the invention is preferably enclosed in microcapsules in the form of a solution and used in this form for the production of pressure-sensitive transmission systems.
- the known microcapsules containing for the production of color former are used as solvents, e.g. Chlorinated paraffins, halogenated or partially hydrogenated diphenyl, partially hydrogenated terphenyl, alkylbenzenes, alkylnaphthalenes, alkylated dibenzylbenzene, paraffin oil, mineral oil or solvents such as toluene or xylene.
- solvents e.g. Chlorinated paraffins, halogenated or partially hydrogenated diphenyl, partially hydrogenated terphenyl, alkylbenzenes, alkylnaphthalenes, alkylated dibenzylbenzene, paraffin oil, mineral oil or solvents such as toluene or xylene.
- solvents e.g. Chlorinated paraffin
- suitable layers are those based on active clays.
- active clays are e.g. commercially available under the name COPlSlL®.
- the color strength was determined with an ELREPHO from Leitz, Wetzlar. From the determined values - (standard color values), the K / S values were determined according to the Kubelka-Munk equation, which as a quotient of spectral absorption coefficient and spectral scattering coefficient proportional to the color intensity ( Color strength) and thus allow statements about the color strength of colorations - even if they do not have the same hues -.
- Example 1 c The solutions obtained were knife-coated on CF paper as in Example 1 b), the coated sheets were halved and the color strength development was determined in accordance with Example 1 c).

Abstract
Description

- R' und R2: C,-bis C4-Alkyl wie Methyl, Ethyl, n-und i-Propyl, n-und i-Butyl;
