Sailing boat mast characterized in that it has, in cross section: - an external portion (10) having roughly the shape of a horseshoe; - An internal portion (12) disposed inside the external portion to reinforce it and having the shape of an arc of a circle, of the same axis of symmetry as the latter and open on the same side as it, whose ends are respectively connected to the branches of the horseshoe; and - two closing portions (14) fixed to the respective ends of said branches and forming two lips which partially close the opening of the horseshoe, leaving sufficient space between them to allow the passage of a sail fixed inside the mast 2.
