Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a device for spraying cooling liquid from nozzles of a cutting head, which is equipped with chisels and is rotatably mounted on a cutting arm, in which the cooling liquid via channels in the interior of the cutting head to the nozzles, in particular with the intermediary of through the chisel actuated valves and / or a sector control, can be fed. Especially using. . a sector control or when using a load of cooling liquid dependent on the load on the chisel, it is not readily apparent to the machine operator whether the nozzle assigned to a chisel over the period of time over which the chisel is in engagement with the rock to be mined, actually sprayed liquid on the working face. Due to the dust-laden atmosphere near the working face, it can easily happen that nozzles are blocked by fine dust and therefore do not provide any cooling liquid at the critical moment when the chisel engages in the rock. Such a blockage of the nozzles can, however, result in inadmissibly high temperatures on the working face and that consequently sparks and explosions are possible.
The invention now aims to detect nozzle clogging in good time. To. To achieve this object, the invention consists essentially in that the space in front of the nozzle is connected to the coolant supply line via a throttle, that the nozzle is arranged in a component delimiting the space in the flow direction behind the throttle, and that at least one sensor is provided in the coolant supply line Detection of the flow rate and / or the pressure and / or the pressure difference between the coolant supply line or the room before the throttle and the space downstream of the throttle is switched on. Because the space in front of the nozzle is separated from the coolant supply line by a throttle, the pressure difference of the space in front of the throttle relative to the space after the throttle can be used directly as an indication of whether a nozzle is blocked or not. The pressure in the space downstream of the throttle will naturally increase when a blockage occurs relative to the pressure in front of the throttle, and when a predetermined sufficiently small pressure difference is reached, extensive blockage of the nozzle must be concluded. If the nozzle is completely blocked, the pressure after the throttle becomes equal to the pressure before the throttle. The throttle simultaneously equalizes the water consumption, so that flow meters or pressure gauges in the feed line also provide information about the degree of nozzle clogging.
The use of a throttle between the cooling water supply line and the space directly in front of the nozzle, which can be arranged at different points on the supply path, allows a particularly simple and, in the case of a blockage that has already occurred, a still reliable design in which at least one has the free nozzle cross section with respect to its area Exceeding wall part of the component carrying the nozzle is designed as a wall part bursting in the supply line before the full coolant pressure is reached. With such a design, when a nozzle begins to become blocked, the pressure after the throttle will rise and will reach a relatively high percentage of the supply pressure even before the nozzle is finally blocked. If such a bursting element or a wall part of the component carrying the nozzle is designed in such a way that it is blown off or bursts in the supply line before the full cooling liquid pressure is reached, the abruptly becomes from this point in time Liquid supply to the face increases, as the sprayed quantity is now determined by the cross-section of the throttle and no longer by the nozzle. The suddenly higher coolant consumption that occurs suddenly in this way can be used directly to signal the blockage and thus a burst or blown-off wall part of the component carrying the nozzle. This training has the advantage that despite the blockage that has occurred due to the bursting or blasting off of a wall part, the supply of coolant is maintained, albeit to an uneconomically high degree, which ensures a higher degree of safety.
In a simple manner, the design can be such that the throttle is arranged in an insert part sealingly inserted into the bore for receiving the nozzle and connected to the component carrying the nozzle, the casing of which has a recess for the engagement of a releasable locking member. Such a design makes it possible in a simple manner to design the component carrying the nozzle as a cap which bursts or springs off in the feed line before the full cooling liquid pressure is reached, resulting overall in an insert component which integrates a throttle and bursting element. Such a cap can be non-positively connected to the insert part for fixing the nozzle in the bore for receiving the nozzle, this insert part having a throttle bore.
As an alternative to this, it is readily possible to arrange the throttle in a valve controlling the supply of coolant, such an arrangement being able to be advantageously implemented, for example, if a design is selected in which the supply of coolant is dependent on the axial bit load or axial bit displacement is controlled. In all of these cases, the throttle bore should have a certain pressure ratio between ensure the supply pressure of the coolant and the pressure upstream of the nozzle when the nozzle is intact and not clogged.
In order to ensure that there is no additional risk of clogging of the nozzles due to the coolant supply, the insert and / or the coolant supply line is advantageously equipped with filters.
The signals from the sensors for the detection of pressure differences, the pressure in the supply line and / or the flow rate can be connected to a signal device and / or a switching device for the drive motor of the cutting head.
The invention is explained in more detail below with reference to exemplary embodiments shown in the drawing. 1 shows a chisel holder with coolant supply to nozzles controlled as a function of the load on the chisel, FIG. 2 shows a nozzle for use in an embodiment according to FIG. 1 and FIG. 3 shows a modified embodiment of the device according to the invention.
In Fig. 1, the coolant supply line is indicated schematically by 1. A
The
The component carrying the
The throttle bore is now designated 20, and after opening the
