- the wiper arm 21 only travels the additional resistance track part R Z.
- the grinder arm 21 is grounded, for example, via the metallic axis and the housing of the cross-fader. This grounding is alternatively represented in FIG. 1 by a grounding line 27. Other groundings, for example using additional wipers, are also conceivable.
- Fig. 2 shows the equivalent circuit diagram of the fader regulator 1 used in a circuit device for fading control.
- the equivalent circuit diagram 25 shows that the electrical reproduction signals, such as speech or sound, are given to the load via parallel cable runs 29, 31 via a divided contact resistance R Ü .
- the load consists of parallel connections of the speaker resistors R L1 and R L2 and part of the additional resistor R Z. Part of the additional resistor R Z is therefore connected in parallel to the loudspeaker resistor R L1 and the remaining part of the additional resistor R Z is connected in parallel to the loudspeaker resistor R L2 . If the insulating area 16 is provided, the designations R Z1 and R Z2 apply to the electrically separated additional resistance track parts.
- the resistance data relate to the fact that the fading resistance R Ü is 40 ohms over the length of the fading resistance track part.
- the additional resistance R Z which extends over the additional resistance track part R Z , is 80 ohms. With other resistance values, different resistance distributions result accordingly.
- the transition resistance is again measured at 40 ohms and the additional resistance is again measured at 80 ohms.
- the resistance values are only examples.
- a booster amplifier 33 with an internal resistance R I1 and R I2 is connected in front of the loudspeaker resistors R L1 and R L2 .
- the three functional positions again correspond to those according to FIGS. 3a to 3c and the cross-fading resistances and the additional resistances also change as in the representation according to FIGS. 3a to 3c.
- the only difference is the intermediate boosters 33 with their internal resistances R 11 and Ri 2 .
- Fig. 5 shows a cross-fader, in which the additional resistance R Z does not add the slider track to a ring, but is arranged coaxially to it.
- an insulating region 16 can separate the additional resistor into two parts that are insulated from one another.
- the additional resistor Rz or the additional resistor parts R Z1 and R Z2 are connected crosswise in order to maintain the same direction of rotation for all wiper arms.
- the coaxial additional resistance R Z down as in the illustration according to FIG. 1, as is indicated in FIG. 5 by dashed lines.
- the additional resistor R Z or the additional resistors R Z1 and R Z2 are then not cross-connected.
- the additional wiper arm 21 lies on the middle between the cross-wiper arms 17, 19.
- the additional wiper arm 21 is opposite the middle between the Grinder arms 17, 19 offset by 180 degrees.
- FIG. 6 shows a cross-fader 101 designed as a slider with a rectilinear additional resistance track part 100 R Z , which is scanned by an additional wiper arm 121.
- Parallel to the additional contradiction Standsbahnteil 100 R Z extends a rectilinear slider track 103, which consists of external metallized conductor track parts 105, 107 and an added cross-fade resistance track part 100 R Ü .
- the wiper track 103 is scanned by means of wiper arms 117, 119 which are electrically connected to one another but are arranged at a distance. Description
Überblendschaltungseinrichtung an elektrischen Wiedergabegeräten und Uberblendregler für eine derartige SchaltungseinrichtungCross-fade circuit device on electrical playback devices and cross-fade controller for such a circuit device
The invention relates to a cross-fade circuit device on electrical playback devices for cross-fading the signals emitted by a signal generator between two playback units, with a controllable resistor scanned by means of scanners, which decreases the one from the maximum value to the minimum value by adjusting the scanners along its resistance path Fade resistance and the other display unit upstream of a fade resistance increasing from the minimum value to the maximum value.
A cross-fader described in DE-OS 29 38 675 in a cross-fader circuit device with a rotating grinder has a circular grinder path which is scanned by two grinder arms which diverge in a V-shape from the pivot point. This known Übrblendrrgler can also be designed as a slider. The loop track is divided into two conductor track parts, between which there is a resistance track part. The metallized conductor track parts, for example, both end with first ends contacting the interposed resistor track part. The wiper arms are spaced apart such that they both occupy the first ends of the conductor track parts in a central position. If a loudspeaker is now connected to the conductor track parts, the full output voltage is applied to both loudspeakers a low-frequency amplifier of the playback device. If the wipers are moved out of the center position, one wiper remains on a conductor track part, while the other occupies a specific position on the resistance track part depending on the displacement path. A more or less large partial resistance of the resistance track part is connected in series to a loudspeaker. Then the voltage and thus the voltage and thus the power on this loudspeaker decrease accordingly. The other speaker, however, continues to be supplied with the full output voltage of the power amplifier. Typical resistance values of the resistance track parts of cross-faders are between 20 and 80 ohms.
If, for example, the resistance path section of the cross fader has a series resistance of 40 ohms, then in the middle position of the grinder, both loudspeakers receive the full output voltage of the AF amplifier. If, on the other hand, the grinders are turned to an end position, one loudspeaker receives the full output voltage, while the other only receives a voltage of
ie 0.09 x U 1 or approximately one hundredth of the power of the other speaker is fed. A good cross-fade control can thus be carried out.
This means that when using high-resistance boosters, even with extreme adjustment of the wiper arms, both speakers receive almost the full output power. This difference is almost no longer measurable, on none Case audible. The disadvantage can be reduced by a low-resistance booster input of, for example, 20 ohms; with this reduction, however, the disadvantage of an additional power loss in the booster and a higher distortion factor in the output stage, for example due to a load with 2 x 20 ohms = 40 ohms, is bought.
It is an object of the invention to provide a cross-fade circuit device of the type mentioned at the outset and a cross-fade regulator suitable therefor, which makes satisfactory cross-fade control possible even with a high-resistance booster input.
The object is achieved according to the invention in that controllable additional resistors sampled by other scanners are connected in parallel, the other resistors changing in opposite directions to one another in such a way that the additional resistors, which are connected in parallel to the one playback unit, differ from one another when all scanners move together Maximum value up to a minimum value and the additional resistor connected in parallel to the other display unit changed from the minimum value to the maximum value.
By connecting additional resistors in parallel, which change in opposite directions to the resistance values of the cross-fade resistance, the output voltages of the cross-fader are changed differently regardless of whether a low-resistance load (loudspeaker) or a high-resistance load (booster amplifier or headphones) is connected. The additional resistors are preferably formed by continuously or step-wise adjustable resistors.
It is advantageous if, for realizing the cross-fading circuit device, a cross-fading regulator designed as a rotary or slide controller is used, in which the playback signals are transmitted to different points on a wiper track, which are made of two metallic ones, by means of cross-fader wiper arms which are arranged at a distance and are connected to one another , connected to the playback units conductor track parts and an intervening cross-fade resistance track part, which connects the adjacent first ends of the conductor track parts and on which one of the cross-fade grinder arms can run.
According to the invention, this cross-fader is characterized in that the spaced-apart second ends of the metallic conductor track parts are each connected to an additional resistance track part which is driven by an additional wiper arm which is connected to the device ground potential, and that the wiper arms arranged at a distance are electrically separated from the Additional grinder arm are movably connected in the same direction. L The distance between the grinder arms and the common adjustment path can be selected as required.
In a rotary cross-fader, for example, the additional sander arm can be connected directly to the housing via the cross-fader axis and then to ground via the unit housing. A direct earth connection is also conceivable.
If two speakers are connected to this fader, there is an additional resistance for each speaker in the middle position of the fader 40 ohms in parallel if the resistance value of the entire additional resistor is 80 ohms. This additional load on the output stage has no significant impact on its properties. In the end position of the fader, a loudspeaker is located directly on the output stage and in parallel there is the total additional resistance of 80 ohms. The other speaker, on the other hand, is short-circuited by the wiper of the additional resistor. This results in a good cross-fade control when using normal 4 ohm loudspeakers. However, the crossfader is of particular importance when using high-resistance booster amplifiers. In the middle position, both boosters are controlled with the same full output voltage of the power amplifier. The load on the output stage is approximately 40 ohms; this does not affect the properties of the output stage. If the cross-fader is now turned to an end position, similar conditions result, in that there is always a cross-fade from the installation of one booster to a short-circuiting of the other booster and thus the loudspeaker. The fader is therefore suitable for the direct operation of a loudspeaker as well as for the interposition of a booster amplifier.
According to a further embodiment of the invention, it is provided that in a rotary cross-fader the additional resistance track part supplements the slider track to form a ring. When properly interconnect length is not sufficient, for example because the conductive-track parts with the fade resistance web portion together occupy an arc of more than 180 0, according to a further embodiment of the invention it is provided that the Additional resistance track part is arranged concentrically to the sliding track consisting of conductor track parts and cross-fading resistance. In the case of a slider, the additional resistance track part is arranged parallel to a rectilinear slider track made up of conductor track parts and cross-fade resistance.
In order to be able to adapt the additional resistance even better to the circumstances, it is provided according to a further embodiment of the invention that the resistance curve of the additional resistor is not linear over the resistance curve.
If the additional resistor is connected from one conductor part to the other, the constant current flow leads to a loss of power. In order to reduce the power loss, it is therefore provided according to a further embodiment of the invention that the additional resistance track part is interrupted in the middle to form two separate track parts and the additional wiper arm is insulated when it runs onto this interrupted area.

There are two metallized
The
Fig. 2 shows the equivalent circuit diagram of the
31 gegensinnig oder umgekehrt proportional.3 now shows, using three position diagrams of the fader, together with an equivalent circuit, how the fade control takes place. The representation is only against the pivoting of the wiper arms Clockwise from the middle position to an end position. The contact resistance for the loudspeaker with the resistance R L2 increases from 0 ohm to 40 ohm, while the additional resistance decreases from 40 ohm to 0 ohm. In the same way, the additional resistor R Z , which is connected in parallel to the resistor R L1 , increases from 40 ohms to 80 ohms. Transitional resistance R Ü and additional resistance R 6 thus change in the opposite direction or inversely proportionally within the
The resistance data relate to the fact that the fading resistance R Ü is 40 ohms over the length of the fading resistance track part. At the same time, the additional resistance R Z, which extends over the additional resistance track part R Z , is 80 ohms. With other resistance values, different resistance distributions result accordingly.
Einen Unterschied bilden lediglich die zwischengeschalteten Booster 33 mit ihren Innenwiderständen R11 und Ri2.In the illustration in FIGS. 4a to 4c, the transition resistance is again measured at 40 ohms and the additional resistance is again measured at 80 ohms. Again, the resistance values are only examples. A
It has been shown that flawless fade control is possible both when speakers are connected directly and when booster amplifiers are connected in between.
Fig. 5 shows a cross-fader, in which the additional resistance R Z does not add the slider track to a ring, but is arranged coaxially to it. Here, too, an insulating
In a modification of this embodiment, it is of course also possible to lay the coaxial additional resistance R Z down as in the illustration according to FIG. 1, as is indicated in FIG. 5 by dashed lines. The additional resistor R Z or the additional resistors R Z1 and R Z2 are then not cross-connected. In the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 5, the
107 liegen.FIG. 6 shows a
The first ends 109, 111 of the
All
