Description

The invention relates to a plug socket for plug pins with a contact surface that can be pressed onto a plug pin, a conductor connection area and an insulating jacket, the socket having a sleeve-shaped base body between the contact surface and the conductor connection area; the invention further relates to a device for producing such a socket.

Such sockets are mainly found in small device plugs, e.g. B. for shavers, use and must be well protected against the ingress of moisture and very often connectable with a corresponding plug pin and be detachable from this again. In this case, the insulating material sheath usually serves at the same time as a handle for connecting and disconnecting the plug connection, from which only the sheathed area of the connecting cable protrudes.

When encapsulating the socket with the insulating material, make sure that the contact surfaces remain free of the insulating material. However, this is difficult insofar as plug sockets are usually stamped in one piece from endless material webs and then produced from the blank (stamped part) by one or more bending processes will. The sleeve area of the plug socket, together with the contact area, forms a uniform cavity with a plurality of openings through which the insulating material can penetrate during the sheathing of the plug socket in the injection molding process and can thus also reach the contact area.

Proceeding from this, the invention has for its object to provide a socket of the type mentioned, which allows a simple sheathing with insulating material without the contact surfaces coming into contact with the insulating material, in particular, the connector should be centered accurately in the jacket; In addition, a device for the simple manufacture of such sockets with a sheath produced by injection molding is to be provided.

As a technical solution to this, it is proposed with regard to a plug socket of the type mentioned at the outset that a partial surface of the base body wall is bent into the base body cavity about a bending line extending approximately at right angles to the plug axis and its edge rests on the inner wall of the base body cavity.

The invention is therefore based on the basic idea of protecting the contact area of the socket from the side of the base body against the backward penetration of insulating material into the base body and the contact area in that a bent locking disk formed by the base body wall protects the rear end face of the base body against the ingress of Insulating material seals.

If in such a plug socket, according to a development of the invention, at least a partial area of the edge of the partial surface is provided in one in the inner wall of the base body Groove is held, a particularly good seal against sprayed insulating material is achieved. In addition, tolerances between the partial surface serving as a locking disk and the base body can thus be absorbed. Another advantage of this groove is that, in the bending process with which the sleeve-shaped base body is produced, no excessive radial forces are exerted on the already bent-over part surface forming the locking disk; the groove can namely have an oversize, so that elastic, radial deformation forces are not or only incompletely transmitted to the locking disk on the outer wall of the base body.

If, according to another development of the invention, the partial surface forming the locking disk has a hole which is concentric with the contact surface, this can serve as a centering aid for a spraying aid described below. The cross-sectional area of such a hole is preferably smaller than the plug passage area spanned by the contact area; the edge of the locking disk surrounding the hole then serves to support the spraying aid in the axial direction.

According to another development of the invention, the plug socket can be surrounded by a sleeve with a plug passage opening which is pushed over the base body in the plug-in direction and positively abuts against it. As a result, the spring elements of the plug socket which have the contact surfaces on their inner surface are also kept free of the insulating material in the region of their outwardly facing surface. Likewise, no insulating material can then penetrate into the opening in the base body wall which is inevitably formed by the bending of the locking disk.

Surprisingly, it has been shown that the use of the aforementioned sleeve is not absolutely necessary. Crucial for the fact that the contact surfaces are free from the Remaining insulating material is namely the locking disk provided according to the invention, which prevents the insulating material from axially entering the connector socket from behind. Surprisingly, the insulating material does not succeed in inserting racial penetration into the socket between the contact surface and a plug inserted before the sheathing process.

The invention is achieved with regard to a device for producing the insulating material sheathing of a plug socket according to the invention in the injection molding process by a plug pin arranged in the injection mold coaxially with the plug axis of the plug socket and suitable for the plug socket as a plug-in aid. This plug pin therefore covers the contact surfaces of the socket. This cover is maintained throughout the injection molding process.

If, according to a further development of the invention, the spraying aid has a conical end region outside the plug socket, this makes it easier to center the plug pin when it is inserted into the plug socket.

The spraying aid preferably has a centering tip with an adjoining stop face, the centering tip fitting into the hole in the partial surface of the plug socket forming the locking disk and the stop face defining the axial end position of the spraying aid.

With the plug socket according to the invention and the device for its manufacture, it was possible for the first time to simple Way, especially in the injection molding process, to coat the socket with insulating material without the contact surfaces coming into contact with the insulating material.

Further details, features and advantages of the subject matter of the invention result from the following description of the associated drawing, in which two preferred embodiments of a plug socket according to the invention have been shown. The drawing shows:

Der Kontaktbereich 3 weist Federarme 8 auf, deren innere Oberflächen die Kontaktflächen 9 für einen Steckerstift bilden.1, a plug socket according to the invention has a sleeve-shaped base body 1, on the front sides of which a conductor connection area 2 and on the other hand a contact area 3 are connected. The conductor connection area 2 consists in a known manner of a crimp area 4 for contacting a conductor wire 6 and a crimp area 5 for clamping an insulating jacket 7 of the conductor wire 6. The contact area 3 has spring arms 8, the inner surfaces of which form the contact surfaces 9 for a plug pin.

The base body 1 can - as shown - consist of a cylindrical sleeve with a longitudinal slot 10. Such a one-piece plug socket is produced by first punching out a corresponding surface pattern from a flat material and then bending it to form the plug socket. The plug socket according to the invention now arises from the fact that when punching out the sheet material in the area of the base body wall, a partial surface 11 is cut free in such a way that a region 12 of the edge of the partial surface 11 remains connected to the base body wall and the outline of the partial surface 11 is the inner cross section of the finished bent sleeve-shaped base body 1 corresponds as closely as possible. The area 12 forms a bending line which extends approximately at right angles to the plug direction E of the plug socket. At this bending line, the partial surface is bent into the later main body cavity 13 by approximately 90 °. The remaining base body wall is then bent into the sleeve-shaped base body 1. Here, the base body wall lies radially on the partial surface 11, which can now fulfill its function as a locking disk - as described below.

The edge 14 of the partial surface (locking disk) 11 is preferably in a in the inner wall 15 e.g. groove 16 provided by embossing.

According to FIG. 4, the plug socket can be surrounded by a sleeve 17 with a plug passage opening 18 which is pushed over the base body 1 in the plug-in direction E and positively abuts thereon; in this case the conductor connection area 2 can remain uncovered by the sleeve 17. When jacketing the plug socket with insulating material, the plug socket, which has already been crimped to the conductor, is inserted into a corresponding injection mold from one end and pushed onto a plug pin 19 serving as a spraying aid. This plug pin seals the plug passage opening 18 and thus prevents the insulation material of the insulation jacket 20 from penetrating.

As can be seen from FIGS. 5 to 8, the locking disk 11 can have a hole 21 which is concentric with the surface spanned by the contact surface 9 perpendicular to the plug-in direction E. In a similar manner to that described in FIG. 4, a plug pin 22 serving as a spraying aid is inserted into this hole with its centering tip 23 until a stop surface 24 of the plug pin 22 abuts the edge of the hole 21. The plug pin 22 can be part of an injection mold 25, into which it is inserted coaxially to the intended plug-in axis 26 and from which it protrudes, beginning with its conical end region 27.
