Abstract

In a device for the transport of workpieces of flexible materials which are to be supplied to a treatment station in a coil for treating their longitudinal edges and the workpiece in the form of a coil from which a portion to be treated projects is sent, or positioned on, a transport device which includes a transport trough which receives the coil. Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf eine Einrichtung zum Transport von Werkstücken aus flexiblen Materialien, wie z. Abgesehen davon, daß für großflächige Werkstücke somit ein sehr großräumiger Transport- und Arbeitsbereich vorhanden sein muß, sind die dazu erforderlichen Transporteinrichtungen außerordentlich aufwendig, störanfällig und ermöglichen aufgrund von Materialverschiebungen auf den Tranportbändern oftmals nur eine ungenaue Zuführung, so daß zusätzliche Richtarbeiten meist unumgänglich sind. Auch sind diese Transporteinrichtungen zur Förderung von großflächigen Werkstücken über längere Strecken ungeeignet. Vor allem aber ist von Nachteil, daß die Fördergeschwindigkeiten niedrig gehalten werden müssen und daß Richtungsänderungen, wenn überhaupt, nur mit großem Aufwand vorgenommen werden können.Workpieces made of flexible materials have hitherto been brought to the respective processing stations either lying flat using conveyor belts (for example DE-B-2 410 359) or hanging on conveyor belts. Aufgabe der Erfindung ist es demnach, eine Einrichtung zum Transport von Werkstücken aus flexiblen Materialien zu schaffen, mittels der es möglich ist, derartige Werkstücke auf sehr einfache Weise und ohne daß dazu ein großer Transportraum notwendig ist, einer Bearbeitungsstation zuzuführen. Vor allem soll erreicht werden, daß die Werkstücke mit einer hohen Fördergeschwindigkeit transportiert werden können und daß deren zu bearbeitende Längskanten stets sehr exakt auf das jeweilige Bearbeitungsmittel ausgerichtet sind, so daß zusätzliche zeitaufwendige Richtarbeiten vermieden werden. Auch soll die Transporteinrichtung wirtschaftlich zu fertigen und leicht montierbar sein und einen Transport von Werkstücken aus flexiblem Material über große Strecken ermöglichen, wobei auch Richtungsänderungen ohne weiteres zu bewerkstelligen sind.The object of the invention is therefore to provide a device for transporting workpieces made of flexible materials, by means of which it is possible to feed such workpieces to a processing station in a very simple manner and without the need for a large transport space. Claims (13)

1. Transporting device for workpieces made from flexible materials such as for example clothes or the like which are to be fed to a treatment station for treating their longitudinal edges, characterized in that the workpiece (1) shaped as a roll (2), from which the portion (3, 5) is projecting, is fed to the transport device (11) consisting of a transport channel (12) receiving the roll (2) which transport channel is provided with a bending edge (15, 21) engaging the projecting portion (3, 5) of the roll at one or both longitudinal sides and which transport channel is further provided with a bearing support surface (16, 22) for the longitudinal edge (4, 6) of the roll (2) to be treated.
2. Transporting device of claim 1, characterized in that for a roll (2) with two projecting portions (3, 5) the bending edge (21) is located on the portion (5) extending from above to the outside of the longitudinal side of the bending edge (21) having lateral distance to the transport channel (12).
3. Transporting device of claim 2, characterized in that the bending edge (21) is connected to the transport channel (12) by means of a prismatic intermediate piece (25).
4. Transporting device of claim 2 or 3, characterized in that between the bending edge (21) and the transport channel (12) an aligning means is provided being vertically movable and located preferably centrical regarding the prismatic intermediate piece (25).
5. Transporting device of one or more of claims 1 through 4, characterized in that between a bending edge (15, 21) and the bearing surface (16, 22) assigned to same a support surface (18, 24) inclined towards the bearing surface is provided.
6. Transporting device of one or more of claims 1 through 5, characterized in that the transport channel (12) has a prismatic cross section with bearing surfaces (13, 14) confining an angle of 90° to each other.
7. Transporting device of one or more of claims 1 through 5, characterized in that the transport channel has a round inner cover surface.
8. Transporting device of one or more of claims 1 through 7, characterized in that the bending edges (15, 21) are located as high as about the center of the roll (2) to be fed.
9. Transporting device of one or more of claims 1 through 8, characterized in that the bearing surface (16, 22) is provided with guiding edges (17, 25) guiding the longitudinal edges (4, 6) of the roll (2) which guiding edges are adjustable with regard to the roll.
10. Transporting device of one or more of claims 1 through 9, characterized in that the transport channel (12) is provided with transporting means for example conveyor belts (32) or the like supported by driven rollers (31) which transporting means support the roll (2) preferably by confining an angle of 90°.
11. Transporting device of claim 10, characterized in that the transport means (31, 32) of the transport channel (12) outside of the treatment station is followed by a transport device, for example in the shape of a conveyor belt (33) or the like supporting the roll (2), which transport device runs preferably with higher transport speed and is located in the middle of the transport channel (12).
12. Transporting device of one or more of claims 1 through 11, characterized in that between each pair of the rolls (2) fed in the transport channel (12) a distance part in the shape of a ball (34), a disk (35) or the like is provided.
13. Transporting device of one or more of claims 1 through 12, characterized in that in order to transport rolls to treatment stations being located vertically above or below a transport channel (51) at least one part of the transport device (11') is adjustable in height and is connectable to a following transport channel (54, 55, 56).
