Lediglich das weitere Öffnen des den Schalter enthaltenden Gehäuseinnenraumes ist nur dann möglich, wenn man voraussetzt, daß der Gehäusedeckel mit dem Schloß nicht verdrehbar ist, derart, daß die Schrauben, mit denen die Zwischenplatte an dem den Gehäuseboden umfassenden Gehäuseteil festgelegt ist, nicht zugänglich werden. Auf jeden Fall ist es einem Unbefugten möglich, ohne Schlüssel den Gehäusedeckel zu lösen, so daß selbst bei nicht weitergehender Zugänglichkeit zum Gehäuseinnenraum nachteilige Witterungseinflüsse platzgreifen. Claims (10)

1. A key-operated switch having a housing (1), a housing cover (2) receiving a cylinder lock (profile semi-cylinder lock) (10), and an electric switch (25) which is disposed in an interior space (6) in the housing and has one or more switching positions, the actuating formation(s) of which for the action of the key bit (19) is (are) disposed engaging in its deflection path, which key bit (19) has a position of rotation in which the interior (6) of the housing can be opened, characterised in that the housing cover (2) is detachably located on the housing bottom (3) by an attachment formation, especially at least one screw (16), the actuating end of which is disposed in the bottom region (14) of a formation (9) which projects from the external plane (7) of the housing cover into the interior (6) of the housing and is adapted to the profile of the lock semi-cylinder (10), and in which the lock semi-cylinder (10) is inserted from the external plane (7) of the housing cover and can only be removed when the key bit (19) is in the specific position of rotation (21), which key bit (19) engages, in other rotational positions, through at least one side-wall opening (20) of the formation (9).
2. A key-operated switch as claimed in Claim 1, characterised in that the key bit (19) is pivoted, in the specific position of rotation (21), into the profile of the lock semi-cylinder (22).
3. A key-operated switch as claimed in Claim 1 or 2, characterised in that the switch .(25) is located on the housing portion (4) surrounding the bottom (3) of the housing.

A key-operated switch as claimed in any of Claims 1 or 3, characterised in that the switch (20) comprises two touch contact elements (33, 34) between the actuating members (36) of which and the key bit (19) there are provided actuating webs (37) which are held on the housing portion (4) surrounding the bottom (3) of the housing and especially are of an elastically deformable plastics material.
5. A key-operated switch as claimed in any of Claims 1 to 4, characterised in that the cylinder lock (10) is locked in its inserted position in the formation (9) in the housing cover (2) by means of a locking means (27, 28) which can be actuated from outside the housing (1).

A key-operated switch as claimed in Claim 5, characterised in that a grub screw (28) is screwed into a tapped bore (30) which extends parallel to the longitudinal axis of the inserted lock cylinder (10), the end of which grub screw adjacent to the bottom (3) of the housing is somewhat tapered in construction and acts on a ball (27) which can be displaced, via an aperture (32) provided at the side of the tapped bore (30), to an attachment bore (29) of the lock semi-cylinder (10), along a bottom (31) of the tapped bore (30), the bottom (31) sloping obliquely towards the aperture (32) with respect to the longitudinal axis of the tapped bore (30) which to this extent is constructed in the form of a blind hole.

A key-operated switch as claimed in any of Claims 1 to 6, characterised in that the end (8) of the inserted lock cylinder (10) which is accessible from the outside is surrounded by a sealing covering (11) preferably with a circular outer edge inserted in a correspondingly suitably dimensioned recess (12) in the housing cover (2).
8. A key-operated switch as claimed in Claim 7, characterised in that the sealing cover (11), especially of a resilient material such as rubber, is disposed covering the tapped blind hole (30) of the grub screw (28).

A key-operated as claimed in any of Claims 1 to 8, characterised in that at least two attachment bores (41) are provided outside the separating line, provided with a sealing strip (39), between the housing cover (2) and the portion (4) of the housing surrounding the bottom (3) of the housing, on the housing portion (4), especially the external contour of the housing bottom (3) including the portions comprising the attachment bores (41) being substantially rectangular.

A key-operated switch as claimed in any of Claims 1 to 9, characterised in that the end (8) of the inserted lock cylinder (10) which is accessible from the outside is surrounded by a facing shield (5) which is of different dimensions according to whether there is a surface or flush method of installation, and the attachment screws (13) of which are taken through the sealing covering (11) in particular.
