Definitions

  • the invention relates to a device for attaching U-shaped tabs in a transport perforation of a multilayer continuous form with the features of the preamble of claim 1.
  • the device for producing the known continuous form which is also described in DE-PS 1 436814, contains a cutting device on both sides of the advanced continuous form, with which strips corresponding to the individual tabs are cut off from a fed band and placed over the predetermined holes.
  • the cutting device is derat synchronized with the paper feed so that the cut strip of tab material does not come to lie symmetrically above the respectively predetermined hole, but rather is advanced in relation to the respective hole in relation to the paper transport direction.
  • the tab material is coated with adhesive and is already attached in the cutting device by means of a counter pressure roller with one end to the outer layer.
  • the free end of the tab is pushed through the predetermined hole and turned over by a subsequent folding device due to the self-movement of the continuous form.
  • the two leg ends of the resulting U-shaped flap which are now opposite the paper transport direction, are pressed onto the outer surfaces of the outer layers of the continuous form and are thus firmly connected.
  • the object of the invention is to develop the device mentioned at the outset in such a way that both types of U-shaped tabs can be attached to the continuous form in one pass.
  • the device for producing the continuous form is characterized by the features of claim 1.
  • the stamp arrangement contains two sets of stamps, of which the first set only pushes through the flap ends to be turned against the paper transport direction and the second set pushes through the flap ends to be flipped in the paper transport direction, because in this way the flap ends of the other type are unimpeded the foreign folding device can be passed.
  • the stamps of the first set are arranged behind the stamps of the second set in the paper transport direction, there is almost no risk that the tab ends which have already been attached and which have been folded against the paper transport direction will be opened again by the movable wiper.
  • the stamps can be designed as radially projecting pin-like extensions which sit on the circumference of wheels driven synchronously with the paper transport.
  • the wheel with the second set of punches is designed at those locations without a stamp that come into contact with the flap ends that are to be turned against the paper transport direction.
  • hold-down devices are arranged on the opposite side in the area of the work path, by means of which the passing continuous form is supported.
  • These hold-down devices can preferably be formed from a plurality of optionally driven wheels which are arranged one behind the other in the paper transport direction along the working path of the wipers, so as to reduce wear due to the continuous form passing by.
  • the scraper can also advantageously be designed as a brush, because then no dangerous collisions can occur with the stamps moving through the predetermined holes in the transport perforation, and nevertheless a reliable flipping over of the tab end is ensured.
  • several wipers can also be used.
  • a very long path of action of the wipers is obtained if an elastic endless transport means is provided for the movable support, which runs parallel and in the direction of the paper transport at least in one section and on the outside of which the wiper or wipers is or are attached. If a short working path of the scraper is sufficient, it can be arranged for movable mounting on the peripheral surface of a rotatably mounted wheel, the diameter of which is selected in a suitable manner. In this case, brushes are particularly suitable as wipers because the individual bristles can be easily bent over and a relatively long contact distance between the bristles and the respective tab end can be achieved. In any case, it is possible for the scraper to extend over the entire circumferential surface of the wheel or the endless transport means, which can be designed as a chain or toothed belt.
  • the strippers can also be designed as essentially inelastic blocks, by means of which one in cooperation with the hold-down device Greater pressure is generated, which activates the adhesive provided on the tab.
  • the tab end folded over in the paper transport direction is temporarily attached to the continuous form. This results in particularly favorable conditions if the blocks have a flat pressure surface which runs parallel to the paper web when the stripper is working.
  • a particularly low wear of the scraper with a simultaneously good effect is achieved in that the punches which push through those tab ends which are to be turned over in the paper transport direction contain a slot running in the paper transport direction through which the scraper can move when the tab end is turned over.
  • the cycle speed of the cutting device is reduced if the cutting device contains on each side of the continuous form in tandem arrangement two knives which can be moved in the direction of the passing continuous form and which are driven in synchronism with the paper transport and each of which is driven by an associated band of tab material which corresponds to the tabs
  • the strip cuts down, while counter-pressure rollers are provided on the side of the continuous form opposite the knives for attaching the tab end which remains unchanged on the outside. This tacking prevents the tabs from slipping when the other end is pushed through.
  • one knife cuts the tabs to be folded over in the paper transport direction and the other knife cuts the tabs to be folded over against the paper transport direction.
  • a fast and low-noise drive of the up and down knife is characterized in that two synchronously driven crank pins are rotatably mounted in a bearing block, which rotate around axes running parallel to one another and have the same distance from their axis of rotation, the or the knife is or are rotatably connected to the two crank pins.
  • the knife becomes particularly simple and inexpensive to manufacture if it is attached to a coupling rod which is mounted on the two crank pins and connects the two crank pins to one another.
  • FIG. 1 to 3 illustrate a multilayer continuous form 1 which, like the section from FIG. 3, in which the area A from FIG. 1 is shown enlarged, consists of a total of four individual paper layers 2, 3, 4 and 5 .

  • the compressive force acting in this case is sufficient to activate the adhesive provided on the tab 13 to such an extent that the tab end can no longer spring open from the continuous form 1 before it reaches the pressure rollers 78 and 79.

From DE-PS 1 436814 an endless form is known which contains U-shaped tabs bent in predetermined holes in the transport perforation, the legs of which extend in the longitudinal direction of the transport perforation all point in one direction parallel to the side edges. This continuous form has so far proven itself very well in practice. However, if the continuous form is guided with a relatively small radius of curvature when it is labeled with a printer or typewriter, it can happen that the individual layers of paper move against each other in an undesirable manner, because all the tabs point in the same direction and therefore between the outer two layers located intermediate layers can move by a maximum distance corresponding to the diameter of the holes in the transport perforation. An endless form has therefore already been produced in which the legs of adjacent tabs point in the opposite direction.

The device for producing the known continuous form, which is also described in DE-PS 1 436814, contains a cutting device on both sides of the advanced continuous form, with which strips corresponding to the individual tabs are cut off from a fed band and placed over the predetermined holes. The cutting device is derat synchronized with the paper feed so that the cut strip of tab material does not come to lie symmetrically above the respectively predetermined hole, but rather is advanced in relation to the respective hole in relation to the paper transport direction. The tab material is coated with adhesive and is already attached in the cutting device by means of a counter pressure roller with one end to the outer layer.

In a subsequent stamp arrangement, the free end of the tab is pushed through the predetermined hole and turned over by a subsequent folding device due to the self-movement of the continuous form. In the adjoining press device, the two leg ends of the resulting U-shaped flap, which are now opposite the paper transport direction, are pressed onto the outer surfaces of the outer layers of the continuous form and are thus firmly connected.

An endless form which has U-shaped tabs which point parallel to the edge of the continuous form in both directions can only be produced with this device if the continuous form is sent through the device twice, in each case in the opposite direction.

The object of the invention is to develop the device mentioned at the outset in such a way that both types of U-shaped tabs can be attached to the continuous form in one pass. To solve these problems, the device for producing the continuous form is characterized by the features of claim 1.

By using the scraper moving in the paper transport direction, which works synchronously with the associated stamp, it is possible to produce both types of tabs directly one after the other, so that the device can be made relatively short and contains few additional components.

Favorable conditions when turning the free end of the tab in the transport direction with a relatively short actuation distance result if the scraper moves at about twice the paper speed.

Structurally simple relationships are achieved if the stamp arrangement contains two sets of stamps, of which the first set only pushes through the flap ends to be turned against the paper transport direction and the second set pushes through the flap ends to be flipped in the paper transport direction, because in this way the flap ends of the other type are unimpeded the foreign folding device can be passed. If the stamps of the first set are arranged behind the stamps of the second set in the paper transport direction, there is almost no risk that the tab ends which have already been attached and which have been folded against the paper transport direction will be opened again by the movable wiper. In the simplest case, the stamps can be designed as radially projecting pin-like extensions which sit on the circumference of wheels driven synchronously with the paper transport. In order to prevent the punches of the second set from pushing through the foreign flap ends, the wheel with the second set of punches is designed at those locations without a stamp that come into contact with the flap ends that are to be turned against the paper transport direction.

If the paper tension is not sufficient to generate sufficient contact pressure for the wipers, it is advisable to arrange hold-down devices on the opposite side in the area of the work path, by means of which the passing continuous form is supported. These hold-down devices can preferably be formed from a plurality of optionally driven wheels which are arranged one behind the other in the paper transport direction along the working path of the wipers, so as to reduce wear due to the continuous form passing by.

Large setting tolerances without risk of paper damage are possible if the wiper is elastic. In this case The scraper can also advantageously be designed as a brush, because then no dangerous collisions can occur with the stamps moving through the predetermined holes in the transport perforation, and nevertheless a reliable flipping over of the tab end is ensured. In any case, depending on the design of the device, several wipers can also be used.

A very long path of action of the wipers is obtained if an elastic endless transport means is provided for the movable support, which runs parallel and in the direction of the paper transport at least in one section and on the outside of which the wiper or wipers is or are attached.

If the flap ends flipped over by the strippers tend to spring open again before they are finally glued to the corresponding side of the continuous form in the subsequent pressing device, the strippers can also be designed as essentially inelastic blocks, by means of which one in cooperation with the hold-down device Greater pressure is generated, which activates the adhesive provided on the tab. As a result, the tab end folded over in the paper transport direction is temporarily attached to the continuous form. This results in particularly favorable conditions if the blocks have a flat pressure surface which runs parallel to the paper web when the stripper is working.

A particularly low wear of the scraper with a simultaneously good effect is achieved in that the punches which push through those tab ends which are to be turned over in the paper transport direction contain a slot running in the paper transport direction through which the scraper can move when the tab end is turned over.

The cycle speed of the cutting device is reduced if the cutting device contains on each side of the continuous form in tandem arrangement two knives which can be moved in the direction of the passing continuous form and which are driven in synchronism with the paper transport and each of which is driven by an associated band of tab material which corresponds to the tabs The strip cuts down, while counter-pressure rollers are provided on the side of the continuous form opposite the knives for attaching the tab end which remains unchanged on the outside. This tacking prevents the tabs from slipping when the other end is pushed through. Appropriately, one knife cuts the tabs to be folded over in the paper transport direction and the other knife cuts the tabs to be folded over against the paper transport direction.

According to another invention, a fast and low-noise drive of the up and down knife is characterized in that two synchronously driven crank pins are rotatably mounted in a bearing block, which rotate around axes running parallel to one another and have the same distance from their axis of rotation, the or the knife is or are rotatably connected to the two crank pins. The knife becomes particularly simple and inexpensive to manufacture if it is attached to a coupling rod which is mounted on the two crank pins and connects the two crank pins to one another.

Parallel zu den beiden Längsseiten des Endlosformulars 1 verläuft durchgehend eine Transportlochung 6 und 7, während die einzelnen Formularblätter durch eine querverlaufende Perforation 8 voneinander getrennt sind, längs derer später die einzelnen Formularblätter voneinander abzureissen sind.1 to 3 illustrate a multilayer continuous form 1 which, like the section from FIG. 3, in which the area A from FIG. 1 is shown enlarged, consists of a total of four individual paper layers 2, 3, 4 and 5 . A transport perforation 6 and 7 runs parallel to the two long sides of the continuous form 1, while the individual form sheets are separated from one another by a transverse perforation 8, along which the individual form sheets are later to be torn off.

In order to prevent the individual layers of paper 2 to 5 from shifting when the continuous form 1 runs through a printing unit for the purpose of lettering, individual predetermined holes 9 and 11 of the transport perforations 6 and 7 have U-shaped tabs 12 and 13, the legs of which each with the outer sides of the outer paper layers 2 and 5 of the continuous form 1 are connected, for example glued. The legs of the U-shaped tabs 12 and 13 run parallel to the side edge of the continuous form and thus in the direction of the transport perforation, but the tabs 12 and 13 are oriented differently in the associated holes 9 and 11. Thus, starting from the associated transport hole 9, the legs of the U-shaped tabs 12 point in one direction, i.e. with respect to the figures to the left, while the U-shaped tabs 13, starting from the associated transport hole 11, in the opposite direction to the legs of the U-shaped tabs 12, i.e. refer to the figures, to the right.

As follows from FIG. 1, each tab 12 or 13 pointing in one direction is followed by a tab 12 or 13 pointing in the opposite direction, with some transport holes between tabs 12 and 13 optionally being tab-free. 1 also shows that both transport perforations 6 and 7 in transport holes which are at the same height each contain tabs of the same type, namely tabs which are oriented either like tab 12 or like tab 13. The transport perforation 6 on the other side edge of the continuous form 1 thus also contains a tab 12, 13 of the same type at the same height.

To attach the tabs 12, 13 to the continuous form 1, they are coated on their side facing the continuous form 1 with an adhesive or glue, which is, however, only applied in an area 15 delimited by the dash-dotted line 14. In this way, the central area of each tab 12, 13 is free of adhesive and also cannot stick to the edges of the transport perforation.

Nach den Stempelanordnungen 23 und 24 folgen zwei Presseinrichtungen 26 und 27, mit denen die U-förmig abgebogenen Schenkel der Laschen 12 und 13 im Sinne eines Anklebens an den äusseren Papierlagen 2 und 5 des Endlosformulars 1 anpressbar sind.1, 5 and 6, a device 20 for producing the continuous form 1 is illustrated, which contains two mirror-symmetrically constructed cutting devices 21 and 22, which are mounted in a fixed position next to the edge of the continuously moving continuous form 1 and which are driven synchronously with the paper feed . With the cutting devices 21 and 22, as is explained further below, strips corresponding to the individual tabs 12, 13 are cut off from a continuously fed band. In the transport direction behind the cutting devices 21, 22, the device 20 in turn contains a punch arrangement 23, 24 in the area of the transport perforations 6 and 7, which serves to press the free tab ends through the transport holes 9 and 11, while a folding device illustrated in FIG. 5 25 folds the free tab ends pushed through by the stamp arrangement 23 or 24 in the predetermined manner. After the stamp arrangements 23 and 24, two press devices 26 and 27 follow, with which the U-shaped bent legs of the tabs 12 and 13 can be pressed in the sense of being glued to the outer paper layers 2 and 5 of the continuous form 1.

Just like the cutting devices 21 and 22, the stamp arrangements 23, 24, the folding devices 25 and the pressing devices 26 and 27, based on the transport direction of the continuous form 1, are constructed in mirror symmetry, which is why it is sufficient to use the FIGS. 5 and 6 only the construction to explain the cutting device 21, the punch arrangement 23, the folding device 25 and the pressing device 26, which are arranged in the region of the transport perforation 6.

The cutting device 21 contains two toothed belt pulleys 29 and 31 of the same diameter, which are mounted axially parallel in a housing 28, which are connected to one another by a toothed belt 32 and sit at the same height. Each of the two toothed belt pulleys 29, 31 carries on its end face a pin 32, 33, both of which have the same radial distance from the axis of rotation of the associated toothed belt pulley 29 and 31, respectively. The coupling between the two toothed belt pulleys 29 and 31 is fixed in such a way that the radii of the two toothed belt pulleys 29 and 31 running through the pins 32 and 33 run parallel to one another in each position of the toothed belt pulleys 29 and 31.

On the two crank pins 32 and 33 rotating synchronously with one another there is a coupling rod 34 which is mounted on the two crank pins 32 and 33 by means of ball bearings 35 and 36 and carries two knives 37 and 38 which are screwed in tandem to the coupling rod 34 by means of screws 39 are; the coupling rod runs parallel to the transport direction of the continuous form 1.

In order to actuate the cutting device 21 synchronously with the paper transport, a further toothed belt pulley 42 is seated on the axis 41 of the left toothed belt pulley 29, via which a further toothed belt 43 runs, which couples the toothed belt pulley 42 to a toothed belt pulley 45 which is connected in a rotationally fixed manner to a drive shaft 44. In this way, the drive shaft 44, which runs synchronously with the paper transport, drives the toothed belt pulley 42 via the toothed belt pulley 45 and the toothed belt 43, from where, in turn, the rotary movement is transmitted to the toothed belt pulleys 29 and 31 which are coupled together by the toothed belt 32. When driving, the two crank pins 32 and 33 make an orbital movement about the axis of rotation of the two toothed belt pulleys 29 and 31, so that the knives 37 and 38 sitting on the crank rod 34 also make a corresponding orbital movement Execution and so periodically with their coupling rod 34 opposite cutting 46 and 47 in the direction of the continuous form 1 passing underneath or away.

Dabei entspricht die Breite des Bandes und damit die Länge der beiden Schlitze 49 und 51 der Länge der U-förmig umgebogenen Laschen 12 und 13.Both knives 37 and 38 slide with their cutting edge 46 and 47 on the surface of a cutting die 48, which is arranged above the continuous form passing underneath and the surface on which the knives 37 and 38 slide runs at right angles to the surface of the continuous form 1. Just above its lower edge, the cutting die 48 contains two slots 49 and 51. Through each of the two slots 49 and 51, a band consisting of tab material is continuously or intermittently, but preferably continuously, advanced by the cutting edges 46 and 47 in cooperation with the as the lower knife serving lower edges of the slots 49 and 51 of the cutting die 48 is cut off. The width of the band and thus the length of the two slots 49 and 51 correspond to the length of the U-shaped bent tabs 12 and 13.

The strip of tab material comes from a supply spool (not shown further) and, as indicated by a broken line 50, is fed to a feed roller 52 in the cutting device 21 via a plurality of deflection rollers. The band of tab material partially wraps around the feed roller 52, whereby it is pressed by an additional pressure roller 53, so that the feed roller 52, which has its axis in the transport direction of the continuous form 1, can advance the band of tab material through the slot 49. A similar arrangement is made for the slot 51, with which a strip of tab material can be advanced by a further supply spool, also not illustrated, with the aid of a further roller driven synchronously with the feed roller 52.

A counterpressure roller 54, 55 is rotatably mounted below the two slots 49 and 51, on which the continuous form 1 runs. The spatial assignment between the counter pressure rollers 54 and 55 and the slots 49 and 51 is made, as shown in FIGS. 5 and 6, i.e. the counter pressure roller 54 is located in the region of the left end of the slot 49, while the counter pressure roller 55 is arranged in the region of the right end of the slot 51, both counter pressure rollers 54 and 55 extending with their outer circumferential surface below the cutting die 48.

The cutting device 21 described so far operates as follows: While the continuous form 1 in the paper transport direction, i.e. in the direction of an arrow 56, which is gradually conveyed through the cutting device 21, the feed rollers 52 advance band of tab material through the free slots 49 and 51, so that a short end of the band corresponding to the width of the two tabs 12 and 13 to be cut out of the protrudes both slots 49 and 51 above the continuous form 1. In synchronization with the advancing movement of the continuous form 1, the knives 37 and 38 go down with their cutting edges 46 and 47 and at the lower edges of the slots 49 and 51 cut the ends of the strip of tab material protruding from the two slots 49 and 51 at the same time and lay them down, 4, from the predetermined transport holes 9 and 11. For this purpose, the vertically directed movement of the knives 37 and 38 is continued beyond the lower edges of the two slots 49 and 51, so that the flat lower end faces of the two knives 37 and 38 hold the tabs 12 and 13 cut off but not yet shaped on the Press the top of the outside of the paper web 2, the two counter pressure rollers 54 and 55 serving as abutments. As a result, the two tabs 12 and 13 with their adhesive area 15 are at least temporarily attached to the paper web 2 and can no longer slip during further processing.

In order to achieve the deposition of the tabs 12 and 13 illustrated in FIG. 4, the distance between the two slots 49 and 51 is correspondingly greater than the distance between the two transport holes 9 and 11 through which the tabs 12 and 13 are to pass later. In this way, it is achieved that the tabs 12 and 13 are placed asymmetrically with respect to the two transport holes 9 and 11, so that the tab end that is finally glued on to the top of the paper layer 2 is already correctly placed; the movement of the two knives 37 and 38 is matched to the movement of the continuous form 1, i.e. the two tabs 12 and 13 are cut off from the tape advanced from the slots 49 and 51 just when the two transport holes 9 and 11 pass through the slots 49 and 51.

The stamp arrangement 23, which contains two wheels 62 and 63 mounted axially parallel in a housing 61, follows in the transport direction behind the cutting device 21. The wheels 62 and 63, which are driven in synchronism with the paper transport, have peg-like extensions 64 and 65 on their circumference, which engage in the transport perforations 6 and 7, respectively, and the free tab ends which, after being deposited by the cutting device 21, over the respectively associated predetermined transport hole 9 or 11, press through this transport hole. In this way, two sets of stamps are given, of which the first set is given by the pins 65 on the outer circumference of the wheel 63 and the second set by the pin-like extensions 64 on the outer circumference of the wheel 62; the circumferential direction of both wheels 62 and 63 points in the paper transport direction.

However, in order that the wheel 62, ie the second set of stamps, does not push through the free ends of the tabs 13 which have to be turned in the paper transport direction, this is Wheel 62 is smooth on the circumference at those points that come into contact with the straps 13 passing underneath. In this way, the tabs 13 deposited by the cutting device 21 on the upper side of the continuous form 1 pass unchanged under the wheel 62.

The two wheels 62 and 63 can also be driven through the transport perforations 6 and 7, for which purpose the two wheels 62 and 63, in contrast to the illustration, have short spikes on their outer circumference with which they engage in the transport perforations 6 and 7. However, these spines are so short that they are unable to push through the tabs 12 and 13. This pushing through of the tabs 12 and 13 also takes place exclusively in this case by means of the punches 64 and 65.

To fold the free ends of the tabs 12 in the direction opposite to the paper transport direction, the folding device 25 contains a wedge or ramp 66 made of a lubricious material or at least coated with it, which directly adjoins the wheel 62 in the paper transport direction. The ramp 66 serves to turn the free ends of the tabs 12 pushed through by the punches 64 through the predetermined holes 9 of the transport perforations 6, 7 against the paper transport direction, namely by the downwardly projecting end of the tab 12, as shown in FIG. 5 is illustrated, when running onto the inclined part of the ramp 6 is folded back. A rotatably mounted pressure roller 67 located above the ramp 66 ensures that the free end of the tab 12 is at least temporarily attached to the underlying outer side of the lowermost paper layer 5 of the continuous form 1.

From the first set of stamps, which are formed by the peg-like extensions 65 on the circumference of the wheel 63, the free ends of the tabs 13 still covering the associated transport holes 11 are pushed through and by a stripper of the folding device 25 running on the underside of the continuous form 1 in the paper transport direction thrown. In the illustrated embodiment, two brushes 68 are provided as wipers. The two brushes 68 sit equidistantly on the circumferential surface of an endless toothed belt 69 which rotates around two toothed belt pulleys 71 and 72 which are rotatably mounted axially parallel in the housing 61, the brushes 68 with their bristles protruding from the outer surface of the endless toothed belt 69. Overall, the arrangement is such that the section of the endless toothed belt 69 running at the top in FIG. 5 runs parallel and parallel in the direction (travel) of the endless toothed belt 69 and in the direction of the transport of the endless form 1, as indicated by an arrow 73.

In the transport direction behind the wheel 63, a hold-down device in the form of a rotatable pressure roller 70 is provided on the top of the endless form 1 in the region of the work path of the stripper 68.

So that the top section of the endless toothed belt 69 runs largely parallel to the endless form 1, there is a sliding guide 74 fastened in the housing 61 between the two toothed belt pulleys 71 and 72 arranged at a distance from one another, on the upper side of which the toothed belt 69 slides, whereby it slides between the two Timing belt 71 and 72 is supported downwards.

The rear toothed belt pulley 71 is located with its axis of rotation, in relation to the paper transport direction, in front of the axis of rotation of the wheel 63, namely the distance between the two axes of rotation is preferably selected such that the brush 68 rotating around the toothed belt pulley 71 and coming upwards is already complete bears against the underside of the continuous form 1 before it comes into the region of the pin 65 which projects downward through the associated transport hole 11.

The toothed belt 69 runs at a circumferential speed which is approximately twice as high as the paper transport speed, for which purpose a further toothed belt pulley 75 is connected in a rotationally fixed manner to the rear toothed belt pulley 71, via which a toothed belt 76 runs, which drives the toothed belt pulley 75 with a gear on the drive shaft 44 seated pulley 77 couples.

Finally, in the paper transport direction, behind the stamp arrangement 23 or the folding device 25, there is the pressing device 26, which is formed by two pressure rollers 78 and 79 which are mounted in a stationary, axially parallel manner, the pressure roller 78 being located above the continuous form 1 and the pressure roller 79 being located below the endless form 1, and the endless form 1 runs between the two resiliently biased pressure rollers 78 and 79, which due to their contact pressure firmly connect the tab ends of the now completely U-shaped tabs 12 and 13 to the outside of the two outer paper layers 2 and 5.

The operation of the arrangement described so far is as follows:

Fig. 7 links veranschaulichte Lage beibehält. As described above, two tabs 12 and 13 are cut off from the cutting device 21 at the same time and placed on the associated transport holes 9 and 11. The two tabs 12 and 13, which were at least provisionally attached to the continuous form 1 in the course of the cutting process, run into the stamp arrangement 23 with the conveyed continuous form 1. The tab 13 first comes under the wheel 62, which, however, also touches the area the tab 13 is smooth on its circumference, so that the tab 13 remains unchanged under the wheel 62 and still maintains the position illustrated on the left in FIG. 4 and FIG. 7. The La cal 12, however, comes into engagement with an associated pin-like extension 64 of the wheel 62, whereby the free end of the tab 12 is pressed through the transport hole 9 and, as indicated in FIG. 5, protrudes downward approximately at right angles. In the course of the further transport of the continuous form 1, this downwardly projecting area of the flap 12 comes into engagement with the ramp 66 of the folding device 25 and is turned backwards against the paper transport direction, with the result that the flap 12 is completely shaped and, as shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, is bent. The mode of operation of the wheel 62 with the second set of punches attached to it and the ramp 66 is otherwise the same as that already described in DE-PS 1 436 814.

After leaving the wheel 62, the still unchanged tab 13 arrives in the area of the wheel 63 where an associated pin 65 engaging in the transport hole 11, as shown in FIG. 7, presses the free end of the tab 13 through the transport hole 11. As soon as the process of pushing through the free end of the flap 13 is complete, coming from the left in relation to the figures, one of the brushes 68 arrives at the pin 65, which brushes past the outermost side of the lowermost paper layer 5. Since the speed of the toothed belt 69 is about twice as high as the paper transport speed, the brush 68, coming from the left, overtakes both the pin 65 and the transport hole 11 and the downwardly projecting free end of the tab 13, which in this way is against the underside of the Endless form 1 is brushed and thus folded in the paper transport direction. For this purpose, the brushes 68 move in a straight line piece by piece parallel to the underside of the continuous form 1, namely the straight line area, based on the representations of FIGS. 5 and 7, begins on the left, i.e. ends in the transport direction before the associated pin 65 takes effect when the free end of the tab 13 has definitely been folded over.

After the continuous form 1 has passed under both wheels 62 and 63, both types of tabs 12 and 13 are bent in a U-shape in the final manner, the legs of the tab 12 and 13 opposing in one case and in the paper transport direction in the other case point. In the subsequent pressing device, the tabs 12 and 13 are pressed together with the outer paper layers 2 and 5, so that their adhesive areas 15 are permanently connected to the paper layers 2 and 5.

The tabs 12 do not undergo any change when they pass under the wheel 63, because they are already completely bent and temporarily attached by the pressure roller 67, so that they can no longer slip.

The movement of the brushes 68 is matched to the passing transport perforations 6 and 7, respectively, so that whenever a corresponding extension 65 has pressed a free end of a tab 13 through the transport hole 11, one of the brushes 68 the respectively active pin 65 from the left overhauled to the right and the free end of the tab on the underside of the continuous form 1.

The use of brushes 68 as wipers has the advantage that the extensions 65 of the wheel 63, which act as push-through punches, can be solid and the wipers in the form of the brushes 68 can already be effective when the tabs are pushed through, i.e. can also overtake the pin 65 protruding through the continuous form 1.

Another embodiment is shown in FIGS. 7 and 8, in which the pins 65 are not slotted, as before, but slotted, the slot in the pin 65, the rest of which shape is adapted to the transport hole 11 as before in FIG The circumferential direction of the wheel 63 runs. The width of the slot 81 is smaller than the width of the tabs 13 to be processed, whereas the brushes 68, as shown in FIG. 8, have a width so that their bristles can pass freely through the slot 81 and thus in the transport hole 11 7, can be erected again. In this case, even with particularly thin material for the tabs 13, reliable folding is achieved without the risk of the free tab end being pressed through being crumpled.

If slotted pins 65 are used, the wipers can also be solid, both elastic and inelastic, their width in turn corresponding to the slot width, so that they run unhindered through the slotted pin 65 and thereby the tab end pushed through by the pin 65 can turn over. Such a compact wiper has the shape illustrated by dashed lines 82 in FIG. 7.

Instead of fastening the brushes 68 on the outer circumferential surface of a toothed belt 69, in the place of which any other endless elastic means of transport, for example a chain, can be used, it is also possible, as shown in FIG. 9, the brushes 68 on the outer circumferential surface of a wheel To attach 83, which is rotatably mounted below the wheel 63 in the housing 61 and axially parallel to the wheel 63 and which in turn is driven by the toothed belt 66 at a speed such that its peripheral speed is twice as high as the paper transport speed. The center distance between the two wheels 63 and 83 is selected such that the brushes 68 bear against the underside of the endless form 1 for a predetermined amount, namely the first bristles of the brushes 68 in the transport direction already engage the underside of the endless form 1 , before they hit the extension 65 protruding through the transport hole 11. The last bristles of each brush 68 ver however, leave the underside of the continuous form 1 only when the free tab ends pressed through the transport hole 11 are completely coated on the underside of the continuous form 1.

Instead of individual brushes 68, both the toothed belt 69 and the wheel 83 can be provided with a brush that extends over the entire outer circumferential surface. A special timing is then not possible.

Teile, die den Bauteilen nach den vorhergehenden Figuren entsprechen, sind mit denselben Bezugszeichen versehen und nicht erneut beschrieben.FIG. 10 illustrates a further exemplary embodiment of the device 20 for producing the endless form 1, in which the folding device 25 is modified. Parts which correspond to the components according to the preceding figures are provided with the same reference symbols and are not described again.

Bei der Falzeinrichtung 25 nach den Fig. 10 und 11 sind die beiden Zahnriemenscheiben 71 und 72 jedes Endloszahnriemens 69 weiter in Richtung auf die Andruckrollen 78 und 79 vorgerückt, und zwar so, dass die auf den Endloszahnriemen 79 befestigten Abstreifer 84 im Verlauf ihres Weges auf keinen Fall mit den Stempeln 65 des Rades 63 in Berührung kommen können.10 and 11, the two toothed belt pulleys 71 and 72 of each endless toothed belt 69 have advanced further in the direction of the pressure rollers 78 and 79, in such a way that the wipers 84 fastened on the endless toothed belts 79 open up in the course of their travel no case can come into contact with the stamps 65 of the wheel 63.

Each of the two wipers 84 is in this case formed as a series of four essentially inelastic blocks or blocks 85, which are fastened one behind the other in the running direction of the toothed belt 69. Each of the stripper blocks 85 has an L-shaped cross section, as shown, and is fixed with its base on the endless toothed belt 69; each of the stripper blocks 85 thus contains a flat pressure surface 86 which runs parallel to the endless toothed belt 69 and which can lay flat against the endless form 1 from below while the stripper 84 is traveling.

The L-shaped shape of the stripper blocks also creates, as shown, gaps at the top of the strippers 84, into which the tab ends of the tabs 13 which have been pushed through can penetrate in the event of an unfavorable synchronization between the movement of the strippers 84 and the continuous form 1, in order not to become wrinkled . If this should happen, the repetitive edges of the pressure surfaces 86 of the wipers 84 cause the tab end to be flattened again.

Above the continuous form, a plurality of pressure rollers 87 are rotatably mounted, which are arranged one behind the other in relation to the transport direction of the continuous form and are located opposite the working path of the wipers 84.

Fig. 11 shows in detail the sequence of movements as it appears in the dashed box C.

On the continuous form 1, the tabs 13, the associated holes 11 of the transport perforations 6 and 7 are arranged overlapping and tacked at one end. As soon as the respective transport hole 11 reaches the area of the stamp 65, the tab end of the tab 13 covering the transport hole 11 is pressed downward. This pressed-in position also maintains the tab end when the stamp 65 is moved out of the transport hole 11 again in the further course of the transport path of the continuous form 1, and specifically before the stripper 84 has come into engagement with the pushed-through end of the tab 13. The tab end jumps back somewhat towards the original bearing, as indicated at 88, but this position is sufficient for the scraper 84 to reliably catch the tab 13. This takes place in accordance with the movement phase of the scraper 84 and the endless form 1 at a more or less large distance behind the wheel 63, so that the essentially inelastic blocks 85 of the scraper 84 cannot collide with the stamp 65.

Since the endless toothed belts 69 have a greater web speed than the endless form 1, the stripper 84 first runs after the pressed-through tab end in order to overtake it in the course of the work path, as a result of which the end of the tab 13 is turned over in the paper transport direction and the end thus turned over by the between the Pressure rollers 87 and the individual stripper blocks 85 of the stripper 84 acting pressure force is attached to the underside of the continuous form 1. The compressive force acting in this case is sufficient to activate the adhesive provided on the tab 13 to such an extent that the tab end can no longer spring open from the continuous form 1 before it reaches the pressure rollers 78 and 79.

In FIG. 11, it should also be noted that, for the sake of simplicity, several states are shown which do not occur simultaneously. Thus, the scraper 84 is not in the area of its travel to work when the punch 65 pushes through the tab 13 or the punch 65 is out of engagement with the associated transport hole 11 when the scraper 84 approaches the pushed-through tab end at 88.
