Since the vertical distance from the center of mass of the collecting container to the articulation point of the collecting container on the frame is relatively small, a small amount of force is sufficient to pivot the collecting container backwards and thus to bring the center of mass of the collecting container behind the articulation point. Description

The invention relates to a locking and locking device for a collecting container which can be connected to a tractor and which has on its rear side a flap which can be pivoted about an axis arranged in its upper region between a closed position and an open position, by means of an adjusting device arranged on the collecting container actuatable first locking device is stable in the closed position, the collecting container being fixable in its receiving position by means of a second locking device and pivotably mounted on a frame on its underside.

A collecting container for a garden tractor is already known (US-A-4 015 406), which is pivotably mounted on a frame provided on the garden tractor and for this purpose is articulated to the frame in the region of its upper edge. The collecting container consists of an approximately rectangular box with an outlet opening through which the crop can be dispensed. In the harvesting position, the collecting container is closed and lies against the back of the frame provided on the garden tractor. A lever arm is provided on the collecting container for pivoting from its harvesting material receiving position into an emptying position, by means of which the collecting container can be pivoted upwards in order to open the outlet opening and empty the harvested material to the ground. In order to pivot the collection container into its emptying position, the entire weight of the collection container and, in the initial phase, also a part of the crop picked up in the collection container must be pivoted via the lever, so that a relatively large amount of force is required. As a result, a certain size of the collecting container for receiving the harvested crop cannot be exceeded.

In a known locking device for a collecting container on a combine harvester (US-A-3 317 064), the collecting container is pivotably mounted on a uniaxial chassis by means of a handlebar and is thus pivotable between a receiving position and an emptying position. In the receiving position, the front end of the collecting container is secured by means of an elaborate locking mechanism which can be released via a traction cable device and unlocks the collecting container when actuated, so that it can pivot into an emptying position. For this purpose, the collecting container is arranged in such a way that the center of gravity lies behind the axis of rotation of the collecting container, so that it can pivot backwards due to its own weight. Due to the pressure of the emerging crop, the flap normally closing the collecting container is pivoted upwards, which is connected to a linkage arrangement for this purpose. When a certain height of the flap is reached, it is additionally pivoted into a final position via a tension spring. The separately operated locking devices are very expensive due to the many individual parts and the complex kinematics.

In the locking and locking device (EP-Al-0 016 440) from which the invention is based, the collecting container is arranged such that it can be tilted on a trailer, the tilting taking place via a hydraulic cylinder. The flap that closes the collection container in its operating position is opened automatically by means of a cable and a swivel linkage.

Although not described, it can be assumed that the flap can be locked in its closed position. However, this locking should not be in operative connection with the mechanism for pivoting the flap and would have to be released manually before actuating the hydraulic cylinder. This document also discloses a non-tilting collection container on a trailer, the lockable flap of which can be opened by the towing vehicle via a hand lever. The collecting container has an inclined bottom wall so that the material can slip out of the collecting container when the flap is open. Furthermore, this document also shows a collecting container which is mounted on a small transporter, with designs for emptying or unlocking not being made.

The invention has for its object to design and arrange the locking and locking device in such a way that it can be used once for pivoting the collecting container and at the same time can be used for the joint actuation of the two locking devices for the flap and the collecting container. This object is achieved in that the actuating device is designed as a lever pivotably mounted on the collecting container, which lever serves for pivoting the collecting container and at the same time via linkage with a pawl pivotably mounted on the collecting container for locking the collecting container in the crop receiving position and with a locking part designed as a locking tab for Fixing the flap is also connected in the crop receiving position. Since the flap is articulated on the back of the collecting container, namely in the upper area, and the collecting container is pivotably supported on the underside of the frame of the tractor, the locking and locking device can be used to pivot the collecting container and also to actuate the Insert both locking devices. Due to the advantageous storage of the collecting container, it can easily be tilted downwards by simply pushing it backwards. This will simultaneously the locking device for the flap is released, and the flap pivots due to its own weight to the rear while maintaining its vertical position while the collecting container assumes an inclined position. Thus, with a few structural means, an inexpensive adjusting device can be obtained with which three functions can be performed. Since the adjusting device is designed as a lever, both locking devices can be actuated with little effort. In addition, when the collection container is pivoted back, the flap automatically moves into its closed position only as a result of its own weight and completely closes the opening of the collection container. By means of the lever, the catch and the locking tab can then be pivoted back into their locking position without further ado in the receiving position of the collecting container and thus fix the collecting container and the flap in this position.

According to a further proposal of the invention, the device can have a frame which is arranged on a tractor in a self-supporting manner, the pawl can be brought into engagement with a tab on the frame, and the locking tab can be adjusted together with the pawl in at least two positions, one of which the locking tab is held in the closed position and in the other a pivoting of the flap into the open position is possible, the flap being lockable in the area of its lower edge via the locking tab.

It is also advantageous that the lever is movably connected to the pawl via a play connection and is articulated via a linkage received in the guide elements below the collecting container to the locking device, which is held in the closed position by a spring that can be tensioned via the lever. In this way, the collecting container can also be locked in its operating position when there is still material between the flap and the container walls, the flap being pulled over the springs in the direction of its closed position. Characterized in that the collecting container is pivotally mounted on the frame projecting backwards from the tractor in such a way that the center of mass of the collecting container in the harvested goods receiving position lies between the articulation point of the collecting container on the frame and the rear of the tractor, the collecting container is held in its harvested goods receiving position, even if the collection container has not yet been locked. Since the vertical distance from the center of mass of the collecting container to the articulation point of the collecting container on the frame is relatively small, a small amount of force is sufficient to pivot the collecting container backwards and thus to bring the center of mass of the collecting container behind the articulation point. As a result, the operator can very easily adjust the collecting container even when it is full, since after a short travel the weight of the collecting container acts as a lever arm with reference to the articulation point of the collecting container and pulls the collecting container backwards.

In a further embodiment of the invention it is proposed that the upper end of a vertically extending rod engages the lever connected to the collecting container in its upper region, which has in its lower region a guide pin which is slidably received in an elongated opening in the pawl, whereby the lower end of the linkage is connected to the linkage running horizontally below the collecting container. This ensures that the flap is already unlocked when the collection container is still locked in the operating position.

It is also advantageous that the lower end of the linkage engages on a lever linkage mounted on the collecting container, which has a hinge pin which is slidably received in a longitudinal slot in the horizontally extending linkage, the locking device having angled legs that end with the horizontally extending linkage are articulated and at the other end they engage the locking tab.

The flap can be locked and unlocked in a simple manner depending on the movement of the linkage if at least one guide element is arranged below the bottom of the collecting container, on which the front part of the legs of the locking device connected to the horizontal linkage is guided in this way that that in the locking position of the flap the other part of the legs of the locking device can be pivoted to the underside of the collecting container and the locking tab can be brought into contact with the flap. Thus, the guide element guides the angled legs in such a way that when the linkage moves backwards, the legs with the locking tab fold back and down about their articulation point and thereby release the flap.

Since the collecting container automatically tilts into its emptying position after an initial slight pivoting, it can be provided according to the invention, in order to protect the operator, that an attenuator is arranged between the frame and the collecting container. The pawl can expediently have a hook which is open at the top and which can be snapped into the tab provided on the frame.

The flange 47 has at its lower end a vertically running flange part which is connected to the cross member 20 by means of a screw bolt. A second socket 48 is connected to the rear end of the part 42 and extends coaxially to the socket 38. A tab 50 for fixing the collecting container 16 consists of a U-shaped rod, with its legs on the underside of the cross member 18 between the carrier 24 and 26 is connected, the upwardly inclined parts of the legs being connected to one another via a web.

The collecting container 16 consists of a housing part 52 made of plastic material and is formed from a front side 54, an upper wall 56, a bottom 58 and right and left side walls 60 and 62. The upper wall, the bottom and the opposite side walls together form an opening 64 at the rear of the collecting container 16. Near the opening 64 there is an annular groove 66 which runs all the way around the collecting container 16 and in which a tubular metal band 68 is inserted to stiffen the collecting container 16 is. The opening 64 is closed by a vertically extending flap 70 pivotally connected to the collecting container 16, which is connected to the upper wall via hinges (not shown in the drawing) and from a position closing the collecting container 16 (FIG. 1) into an opening releasing position (see dashed lines in Fig. 1) is pivotable.

The housing part 52 is received by the frame 14 by means of right and left brackets 72 and 74. Each holder 72 and 74 consists of a channel part which is formed from two vertically extending flanges 76 which, as can be seen from FIG. 3, are triangular in side view, and from a web part which is flat against the underside of the bottom 58 of the collecting container 16 is present. An approximately vertically extending holder 78 (see FIGS. 3 and 4) is connected to each web part of the two flanges 76 and is fastened with a wall part 80 in a recess 81, which is provided in the lower front area of the front side 54 of the collecting container 16 .

In the flanges 76, mutually aligned bores are provided, which are provided somewhat behind the vertical plane that runs through the center of mass of the collecting container 16 when the latter is in a vertical position according to FIG. 3. The struts 36 and 40 are located outside of the brackets 72 and 74, and a linkage or axis 82 is received in the corresponding bores provided in the brackets 72 and 74 and in the bushings 38 and 48, which on the struts 36 and 40 are arranged. The collecting container 16 can thus be pivoted, for example, from the position according to FIG. 3 into a position according to FIG. 4, in which the crop can pass through the opening 64.

The collecting container 16 is filled via a blower 83 which is provided at the right end of the frame 14 and whose inlet opening is connected to the outlet of a conveying channel 84 which is connected to the housing of the cutting device 12. An outlet duct 86 communicates via an upper elbow 87 with an inlet opening 85 provided in the upper part of the collecting container 16. The inlet opening 85 is designed and arranged such that the collecting container 16 pivots into the emptying position shown in dashed lines can be without impairment of the individual channels of the blower 83 occurs. An annular seal 88, for example made of soft rubber, is provided on the outlet channel 86, so that the outlet channel can be properly sealed off from the inlet opening 85. A bracket 89 is inserted into the upper end of the right bracket 22 of the frame 14, and to the upper end of the bracket 89, the rear end of the elbow 87 of the outlet duct 86 is connected so that it is additionally supported.

The fan 83 is driven by a drive device of the tractor 10, not shown in the drawing. The same also applies to the cutter body of the cutter device 12, via which the crop is separated and fed to the collecting container 16 via the blower 83.

A locking device 90 is used to hold the collecting container 16 in its filling position and to close the flap 70 in its position according to FIG. 3 (closed position). The locking device 90 has upper and lower brackets 91 and 92, which are connected with their legs to an outer side 93 of an indentation 94 in the collecting container 16. The indentation 94 extends vertically between the upper wall 56 and the recess 81, which is also provided on the front wall of the collecting container 16. The indentation 94 serves to receive the locking device 90 and has the advantage of mounting the collecting container 16 closer to the tractor 10, so that the weight of the collecting container with respect to the tractor 10 is shifted more forward and thus corresponding counterweights on the front side of the Can be avoided or kept to a minimum. The upper bracket 91 is located approximately at the shoulder height of an average-sized operator when he has taken a seat on the tractor 10 and has a two-armed lever 95 which is connected to the bracket 91 by means of a hinge pin 96. At the outer free end of one lever arm of the lever 95 there is a laterally protruding actuating device 98, and the other lever arm extends in the direction of the indentation 94. A linkage 100 is connected to the outer end of the other lever arm of the lever 95, for this purpose its upper end is provided with a right-angled end 102 which hinges on the lever 95. A pawl 104 is connected to the lower bracket 92 in an articulated manner by means of a bolt 106 and has an upwardly open hook 108 which can be snapped into the opening of the tab 50 and for this purpose can be adjusted accordingly via the linkage 100. A drop-shaped opening 110 is provided in the pawl 104, which is part of a play connection and serves to receive a guide bolt 112 connected to the linkage 100. If the lever 95 is in its locking position shown in FIG. 3, the guide pin 112 is located at the upper end of the opening 110. The pawl 104 is pretensioned clockwise by a spring 114. The linkage 100 extends downwards over the guide pin 112 and has a connecting eye 116 which is screwed onto the lower end of the linkage 100 and is articulated via a hinge pin 118 to a lever arm 120 which is connected to an axis 122, the axis of which both ends are received in sockets 124 and 126. The bushings 124 and 126 are received in forwardly extending brackets 128 and 130 which are connected at their rear ends to the brackets 78. Within the recess 81, axially aligned levers 132 and 134 are arranged on the end 122, which are connected to corresponding linkages 136 and 138. The levers 132 and 134 and the linkages 136 and 138 lie within the legs of the brackets 72 and 74 which form a housing channel. The front end of each linkage 136 and 138 has a longitudinal slot 140 which serves to receive a hinge pin 144 and which the linkages 136 and 138 connects to the corresponding levers 132 and 134. A U-shaped locking device 148 consists of a rod with right and left legs 150 and 152, which have angled ends 154 and 156 at the front (FIG. 5), which are connected in an articulated manner to the rods 136 and 138. The legs 150 and 152 rest on guide elements 158 and 160, which consist of relatively short supports welded onto the lower edges of the flanges 76 and lie behind the axis 82. The legs 150 and 152 are bent at 162 and 164 immediately in front of the guide elements 158 and 160 (see FIG. 4) when the lever 95 assumes the position shown in solid lines in FIG. 3, so that the legs of the locking device 148 extend from their front ends backwards and downwards to the points 162, 164 and from there in the horizontal direction to a locking tab 168 which bears against the rear 170 of the flap 70, the contact point being located somewhat above the legs of the locking device 148. A spring 172, 174 is located on each side of the linkage 136 and 138 and is connected at one end to the respective end 154, 156 and at the other end to the corresponding hinge pin 144, which is received in the longitudinal slot 140 designed as a play connection. Thus, the linkages 136 and 138 and the locking device 148 are pulled forward and the flap 70 is held in its closed position. The longitudinal slots 140 allow the flap to be locked even if there is still some crop in the gap should be between the rear of the collection container 16 and the flap 70, which prevents the flap from being completely closed.

If the flap 70 is to be opened for emptying the crop from the collecting container 16, the lever 95 must be pivoted from its locking position into an unlocking position (see FIG. 4). As a result, the linkage 100 is moved downward and the axis 122 is pivoted in the counterclockwise direction (with reference to FIG. 4). The initial downward movement of the linkage 100 does not hinder the pawl 104 because the guide pin 112 is between the upper and lower limits of the opening 110. The rotation of the axis 122 in the counterclockwise direction causes the linkages 136 and 138 and the locking device 148 to be moved rearward via the hinge pins 144. With the locking device 148 in the rearward position, the legs 150 and 152 are moved downward and rearward via the guide elements 158 and 160, and the locking tab 168 is also moved downward and rearward, thus releasing the flap 70. When the lever 95 approaches the position in which the collecting container 16 can be emptied, the guide pin 112 comes to bear against the lower limit of the opening 110 and thereby pivots the pawl 104 in the counterclockwise direction about the pin 106. At this moment the Pull the actuator 98 forward so that the hook 108 easily exits the tab 50. When the lever 95 has reached its unlocking position, the collecting container is pivoted slightly backwards by further lifting the lever, so that the center of gravity of the collecting container moves rearward with respect to the axis 82 of the collecting container and the collecting container 16 then without additional help from the operator can pivot into its final emptying position. However, in order to prevent the operator from receiving a blow due to the movement of the full collecting container when it moves beyond its center of gravity, an attenuator 176, for example a hydraulic cylinder, is provided, which at one end via a hinge pin 178 to the part 42 and at the other end is connected to the bracket 74 via a hinge pin 180.
