Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Verbessern der Durchmesser- und Wanddickentoleranzen beim Walzen einer Rohrluppe in einem Maßwalzwerk oder Streckreduzierwalz­ werk. Um ein Verfahren zu schaffen aus unterschiedlichen Temperaturen der Rohrluppe resultierende Durchmesser- oder Wanddickenunterschiede der fertigen Rohre zu ver­ meiden wird vorgeschlagen, daß die Temperatur der Luppe vor der Einführung in das Walzwerk über ihre Länge gemes­ sen und die Walzgeschwindigkeit durch Regelung der Drehzahl in Abhängigkeit vom Temperaturgefälle derart eingestellt wird, daß beim Walzen eine dem gemessenen Temperaturgefälle entsprechend entgegengesetzte Tem­ peraturerhöhung bzw. -erniedrigung der Rohrluppe erfolgt.
