Claims (12)

1. An information panel, in particular for public transport stops, for example on bus routes, of the type formed by a vertical elongated flat stand fixed by a support to the ground and intended for displaying various items of information such as the name of the stop and/or the name of a town, directions and notice of other stops served by one or more transport routes or similar, characterised in that it comprises, on the one hand, display elements (9) in the form of detachable modular elements (10 to 15) detachably secured to its upper end and identifying by means of suitable marking said items of information relative to the places and routes served and, on the other hand, a display window (3) disposed in a central part of said panel, which is recessed with respect to its front face, and serving to display the general conditions of use of the means of transport.

A panel as claimed in Claim 1, characterised in that said display elements (9) comprise horizontal elongated parallelepipedal boxes (10 to 15) which are mounted in such a way that they are superimposed on one another in an upper release section (8) at the front of the panel and are held in position by a locking device (17) which is integral with a vertical plate (22) fixed on a vertical sheet (16) defining the rear face of said panel..

A panel as claimed in Claim 2, characterised in that the boxes (10-15) are in the form of hollow boxes open towards the back, whose upper and lower faces each have a circular hole (27) opening into the rear side of said faces by way of a slot (28); which has a width which is smaller than the diameter of the hole (27), the holes (27) of the upper and lower faces of all the boxes having the same dimensions and being mutually vertically aligned.

A panel as claimed in Claims 2 and 3 taken as a whole, characterised in that the locking device (17) comprises a vertical locking rod (18) which can slide between two guides (19, 20), which are integral with said plate (22), and which is formed by a cylindrical rod having a diameter which is slightly smaller than the diameter of the holes (27) and provided with equidistant grooves (29-34) whose depth is greater than the thickness of two superimposed faces of two adjacent boxes, and whose diameter is slightly smaller than the width of the slots (28) provided in the faces of the boxes, said rod (18) being movable from a locking position, in which the cylindrical elements defined by the grooves (29-34) are engaged in the holes (27), and a release position allowing one box (10 to 15) to be released at a time, and in which the grooves in the rod associated with said box are at the height of the slots (28) in the upper and lower faces of said box.
5. A panel as claimed in Claim 4, characterised in that the guides (19,20) of the locking rod (18) are formed by sleeves having a rectangular external shape and being rigidly secured to the plate (22) and to the lower and upper parts of a vertical channel bar (21) having a rectangular transverse section, whose concavity is facing the front of the panel and which is mounted in the upper release section (8) of the latter.

A panel as claimed in Claims 4 and 5 taken as a whole, characterised in that the channel bar (21) comprises equidistant pairs of horizontal slots (35) provided in the side arms (36) of the channel bar and forming support elements for the upper and lower faces of the superimposed boxes (10 to 15).

A panel as claimed in Claims 4 to 6, taken as a whole, characterised in that, when all the boxes (10-15) are locked, the locking rod (18) rests on a horizontal plate (23) integral with the plate (22) secured, for example by screws (26), to the panel, and that the grooves (29-34) are disposed in the rod such that the vertical distances (a, b, c, d, e, f), which are computed between the upper faces of the boxes and the transverse median planes of the grooves, are equal to 1/6, 2/6, 3/6, 4/6, 5/s and 6/6 respectively of the length of travel of the rod (18) to the top in its guides in order to release the associated box (10 to 15), which allows various boxes to be removed independently of the others.

A panel as claimed in Claims 4 to 7, taken as a whole, characterised in that the lower end of the rod (18) comprises a cylindrical end (39) provided with a circular groove (40) in which a circlip (41) is mounted with elastic locking, which circlip projects laterally beyond the outer circumference of the rod (18) and prevents the latter from leaving its lower guide (20).
9. A panel as claimed in Claims 4 to 8, taken as a whole, characterised in that the upper end of the rod (18) carries a cylindrical head (37) which forms a gripping element and which is fixed by a pin to said rod.
10. A panel as claimed in any of Claims 1 to 7, characterised in that the boxes (10-15) have different marking colours in keeping with the different items of information disposed on their front vertical faces and/or their sides.
11. A panel as claimed in any of Claims 1 to 10, characterised in that the display window (4) comprises a rectangular recess (5) disposed in the panel and in which a display plate (42) is fixed by screws (7), and a transparent sheet of glass (43) whose frame (44) is articulated by two lateral hinges (45), said glass being held in the closed position in front of the plate (42) by means of two quarter-turn bolts (46).
12. A panel as claimed in Claim 11, characterised in that a sealing ring (47) is fixed on the periphery of said recess (3) accommodating the display plate (42).
