Definitions
- the invention relates to a method for producing a cast resin body, which resembles a melt enamel image in its appearance, with the aid of a film as the mold.
- the application was carried out by mounting silver wire (web email) or by partial recesses on the image carrier (pit email) controlled the colored glass powder.
- This technique is artistically mainly limited to manual work. It is used mainly in the production of club badges and the like. (Pit paint) applied.
- the invention has as its object the production of objects in the manner of enamel enamel works of art in a simplified, substantially cheaper manner, which is particularly suitable for industrial series production.
- the process is such that a layer of transparent cast resin is applied to at least one preferably thermoformed and / or embossed plastic or metal foil provided with a paint application, in particular printing, and hardened by bonding the same with the paint application is left, whereupon the film is removed from the cast resin molded body and preferably this is provided on its underside with a light reflecting film, in particular a thin metal foil, optionally with an integrating arrangement of at least one further base layer, possibly made of cast resin, on the molded body.
- the result is a molded body that has all the optical properties of the enamel, both in terms of the typical surface modeling and translucent optical depth effects and / or opaque colored image effects.
- the new process enables the production of artist emails as well as bridge emails as a mass product te, but also the production of hand-made, unique artistic pieces.
- art enamel pictures can be produced without knowledge of the extremely difficult orthodox enamelling technique, in which unsuccessful results can be expected again and again.
- Fig. 1 to 6 schematically shows the sequence of the successive steps, each in a cross section through the films used or the molded body with the help.
- the film thickness can be in the order of 0.1 to 1 mm, depending on the type of the desired depth of the embossing, that is the degree of deformation and the size of the cast resin body to be produced.
- Easily deformable metal foils e.g. made of aluminum, approximately 0.05 to 0.25 mm thick, can serve for this.
- These sheets 1, 2 are flat in any printing process, e.g. Offset printing, letterpress printing, gravure printing, screen printing or the like. single-color or multi-color image or text printed with ordinary printing inks. It is only important to ensure that the ink application 3, 4 obtained by these printing inks, which is illustrated schematically in the figures by a dashed line, is not accompanied by a chemical additive which intimately, i.e. inseparable, connects.
- the arrangement in this example is such that the one film 1 on the Un terseite and the other film 2 is printed on the top.
- This ink application 3 or 4 produced by image printing can additionally be embossed by means of hot foil with a thin metal foil, e.g. of silver, gold, bronze or the like. Color to be enriched.
- the image or the color application 3, 4 can be underprinted with opaque white, i.e. printing with opaque white is first carried out on the foil 1, 2 and then printing the color application 3, 4.
- a light-reflecting foil such as a metal foil, e.g. in silver or gold
- the next, but not mandatory, but only preferably to be carried out is the deformation of the foils 1, 2 transverse to their plane by means of a in a model or deep-drawing mold 5, 6, which can consist of wood, hard cement, molding, etc. (Fig. 2).
- Thermoplastic films can also be deformed in the vacuum deep-drawing process using this model or shapes, which can have different thicknesses depending on the desired shape of the cast resin molded body and whose surface is modeled plastically in accordance with the picture. If metal foils are used, they are deformed in an embossing press.
- the result of this step is then two pictorial printed foils 1, 2, which are deformed differently in space, as shown in FIG. 3.
- the foils 1, 2 are deformed differently because the glass thicknesses typical for Schemlzemail can be achieved in the finally obtainable cast resin molded body, as will be explained below.
- the two deformed and printed foils 1, 2 according to FIG. 3 can of course also be deformed even more extremely than the drawing in the illustrated embodiment illustrates, for example for the production of various variously shaped articles, such as door handles, casket lids, picture or mirror frames, ashtrays, mosaic pictures, costume jewelry and the like.
- Suitable as synthetic resin are all resins which can be processed by adding hardeners in an appropriate quantitative ratio; as such resins are e.g. Epoxy, polyester resins and phenol resoles enriched with formaldehyde are suitable.
- a molded resin body 7 which, when solidified, takes on the image print from the printed films, i.e. has absorbed in itself and from which, as shown in FIG. 4, the foils 1, 2 are then removed after the synthetic resin has solidified.
- This cast resin body 7 proves to be optically deceptively the same as a melt enamel picture as an artificial enamel element.
- the resin body 7 modeled in this way is subsequently ground in the plane x-x at its edges 8 on the underside in order to remove the resin overhang and to achieve a flat underside.
- Fig. 6 illustrates the completion of the enamel picture, which consists in that on the underside of the resin body 7 a light reflecting film 9, such as a metal film, e.g. with silver or gold luster, if translucent reflection is desired, after which the cavity under the cast resin body 7 provided with the metal foil 8 is filled with a support layer 10.
- a light reflecting film 9 such as a metal film, e.g. with silver or gold luster, if translucent reflection is desired
- This base layer 10 can be made as desired by pouring or filling in any cheap filling compound, such as putty, resin or inserting a wooden plate.
- the method according to the invention enables simple and inexpensive production of art emails in industrial series production; it is also much cheaper than the production of a hand-painted one-off.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a method for producing a cast resin body, which resembles a melt enamel image in its appearance, with the aid of a film as the mold.
- 1. händische Emailmalerei auf grundierten Metallgegenständen mit Malfarben, die eingebrannt und meist glasiert werden, ähnlich wie Porzellanmalerei, oder gedruckte Imitationen, die im Abziehbildverfahren industriell auf den zu dekorierenden Gegenstand aufgetragen und ebenfalls eingebrannt werden;
- 1. manual enamel painting on primed metal objects with stains that are baked and mostly glazed, similar to porcelain painting, or printed imitations that are applied industrially to the object to be decorated and also baked;
- 2. Enamel enamel works of art, which are applied to primed metal surfaces using colored glass powder, whereby after each glass powder application of different pictorial parts, the glass powder must be melted carefully in the enamelling oven before the next colored glass powder application can be carried out. Several melting processes are therefore essential before a finished enamel picture is created. 'U customarily used glass powder, the covered (opaque) and colors or transparent (translucent) colors during the melting process yield.
The use of translucent colors serves to achieve retroreflective effects, for which purpose a silver foil or gold foil is applied to the desired area of the picture before the glass powder is applied before the color is melted. In the various melting processes, the layers of paint flow a little into one another. Where this is to be avoided, colored powders with different melting points must be used, which requires a high level of technical skill.
In order to achieve more controllable image effects, the application was carried out by mounting silver wire (web email) or by partial recesses on the image carrier (pit email) controlled the colored glass powder.
Also, by combining this method with. of the enamel painting mentioned under 1 achieved artistically interesting results, but all of them result in unique products in the end product, except for the aforementioned printed imitations.
The difficulties of these known methods led to the predominant use of cold enamel, in which colors made of synthetic resins (instead of glass powder fusion) were layered on top of one another in order to achieve a product that was similar to that of glass melt.
(Grubenlack) angewendet. This technique is artistically mainly limited to manual work. It is used mainly in the production of club badges and the like. (Pit paint) applied.
The invention has as its object the production of objects in the manner of enamel enamel works of art in a simplified, substantially cheaper manner, which is particularly suitable for industrial series production.
According to the invention for the production of moldings of the type mentioned, the process is such that a layer of transparent cast resin is applied to at least one preferably thermoformed and / or embossed plastic or metal foil provided with a paint application, in particular printing, and hardened by bonding the same with the paint application is left, whereupon the film is removed from the cast resin molded body and preferably this is provided on its underside with a light reflecting film, in particular a thin metal foil, optionally with an integrating arrangement of at least one further base layer, possibly made of cast resin, on the molded body.
The result is a molded body that has all the optical properties of the enamel, both in terms of the typical surface modeling and translucent optical depth effects and / or opaque colored image effects.
The new process enables the production of artist emails as well as bridge emails as a mass product te, but also the production of hand-made, unique artistic pieces. In this way, art enamel pictures can be produced without knowledge of the extremely difficult orthodox enamelling technique, in which unsuccessful results can be expected again and again.
Weitere Einzelheiten und Vorteile der Erfindung ergeben sich'aus der folgenden Beschreibung eines Ausführungsbeispieles für das erfindungsgemäße Verfahren an Hand der Zeichnung; darin zeigen dieFurther details and advantages of the invention emerge from the following description of an exemplary embodiment for the method according to the invention with reference to the drawing; in it show the
Fig. 1 to 6 schematically shows the sequence of the successive steps, each in a cross section through the films used or the molded body with the help.
As can be seen from the drawing, two
These
All commercially available films, such as those made of polyvinyl chloride, polyester, polypropylene, plexiglass and the like, can be used as the thermoplastically
As can be seen in Fig. 1, the arrangement in this example is such that the one film 1 on the Un terseite and the
The image spots left out in opaque white printing later, as will be explained later, result from the underlaying of a light-reflecting foil, such as a metal foil, e.g. in silver or gold, the translucent picture elements so effective in orthodox enamel enamel.
The next, but not mandatory, but only preferably to be carried out is the deformation of the
Thermoplastic films can also be deformed in the vacuum deep-drawing process using this model or shapes, which can have different thicknesses depending on the desired shape of the cast resin molded body and whose surface is modeled plastically in accordance with the picture. If metal foils are used, they are deformed in an embossing press.
The result of this step is then two pictorial printed
The two deformed and printed
These two
Suitable as synthetic resin are all resins which can be processed by adding hardeners in an appropriate quantitative ratio; as such resins are e.g. Epoxy, polyester resins and phenol resoles enriched with formaldehyde are suitable.
The result, after solidification of the casting resin, as shown in Fig. 4, is a molded
The
Fig. 6 illustrates the completion of the enamel picture, which consists in that on the underside of the resin body 7 a
This
In order to achieve a deceptive picture of an art enamel, you can also use a copper plate on the underside of the
The method according to the invention enables simple and inexpensive production of art emails in industrial series production; it is also much cheaper than the production of a hand-painted one-off.
Within the scope of the invention, as mentioned and described above and in the subclaims, various modifications to the illustrated and illustrated embodiment of the method according to the invention are possible.
