Abstract

The invention relates to an anchor tie member for use in carrying prefabricated concrete components, comprising a threaded portion for connecting the tie member to a lifting device and a tie rod having two end portions the first of which is secured to said threaded portion and the second of which is shaped so as to form at least one undulation therein. The arcuate shapes may be produced by a cold forming method and the presence of the undulation prevents the anchor tie from tearing out of the concrete while it is being transported and ensures a large breakout cone such that considerable forces may be withstood.

Description

The invention relates to a transport anchor for precast concrete parts, consisting of a threaded part for connecting the transport anchor to a hoist and a rod-shaped anchor part, which carries the threaded part at one straight end, and has wavy bends in the vicinity of its other end.

A transport anchor of the aforementioned type has become known, for example, from DE-A 1 434 518. The transport anchor described in this document consists of rod material which has many bends essentially distributed over its entire length. The radius of the bends becomes smaller and smaller, with the narrowest bend at the inner end of the lifting anchor.

With this lifting anchor, it is obviously assumed that it is important to distribute the forces into the precast concrete over the entire length of the lifting anchor. Each of the turns therefore transfers some of the forces into the concrete.

The known transport anchor is relatively expensive to manufacture. This is due to the large number of turns and the fact that each turn has a different shape. In particular, when applying the bend with the smallest radius, the application of heat is essential if damage to the rod material due to excessive deformation is to be avoided.

The complex manufacture of the known anchor is in conflict with the fact that the anchor is essentially only required once, namely when the precast concrete is transported from the manufacturing site to the installation site. Such an anchor is a consumable part that should be able to be manufactured as cheaply as possible.

It is also known to use rod-shaped anchors without bends and in such a length that safe power transmission can take place in the concrete. The relatively large rod lengths required for this in turn involve considerable effort. It is also difficult to find the necessary locations on the precast concrete for such anchors.

It has also been proposed to arrange a plate-like thickening or a hook-like bend at the inner end of rod-shaped anchors. As a result, the required rod length can be reduced because the mounting in the concrete is improved. However, the arrangement of a thickening or a bend is also relatively expensive. The space requirement of the anchor increases in the lateral direction, so that it cannot be used in thin-walled precast concrete parts.

It is an object of the invention to design a transport anchor of the type described in the introduction in such a way that a secure connection of the threaded part with the precast concrete part is obtained with the lowest possible material consumption and production expenditure, but that the space requirement perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the rod-shaped anchor part remains small.

To achieve this object, the invention proposes a transport anchor of the type described in the introduction that the bends obtained by cold deformation consist only of a single shaft with two adjoining arches, the arc adjoining the straight region of the rod-shaped anchor part being relatively short, and the adjoining bow pointing to the other side has a length such that the end of the anchor part projects over the other side of the transport anchor.

The use of cold forming is possible with the invention because in the invention, even with comparatively large radii of curvature, secure anchoring in the precast concrete part can be obtained.

The arrangement of a single shaft at the inner end of the anchor part ensures that the anchor is not pulled out of the surrounding concrete when the anchor is overloaded, but that an anchor cone is formed by the anchor. The size of this breakout cone is crucial for the transfer of the holding forces. The invention thus eliminates the need to arrange a variety of turns. It is also only necessary to keep the bar length large enough that the breakout cone is of sufficient size. As a result, the manufacturing outlay, namely both the material-related and the processing-related manufacturing outlay, is minimal.

The space requirement in the lateral direction is also small in the anchor according to the invention. The anchor can therefore also be arranged in thin precast concrete parts.

It has been found that it is sufficient in the invention if the bends have a lateral dimension that corresponds approximately to one to two times the diameter of the anchor part.

In the drawing, an embodiment of the invention is shown schematically.

The transport anchor shown consists of the threaded part 10 and the anchor part 9. In the exemplary embodiment shown, the threaded part is formed by a continuous sleeve which, in one part, has an internal thread 11 which is used for connection to a hoist. The other part 12 of the inner bore serves for connection to the anchor part 9, which is connected to the threaded part by an external radial pressure. Even if the shown design of the threaded part represents the preferred form of application of the invention, the shown threaded part can also by other threaded parts, for example screw-like designs or similar constructions are replaced. The press connection in the inner bore part 12 is advantageous for the invention, but can also be replaced by other connecting means, for example by welding or the like.

The anchor part 9 is made of a straight reinforcing steel rod, which has on its surface the ribs 13, which are obtained, for example, by rolling. As is known per se, the anchoring in the concrete is improved by these ribs 13. However, the invention can also be applied to anchor parts whose outer surface is relatively smooth or which have a different profile. By means of the ribs 15, the connection to the threaded part is also improved.

From the straight, rod-shaped anchor part, the original shape of which is indicated by dash-dotted lines 14, a short curve 5 is formed on the straight region 2 by cold deformation. The associated center of curvature is designated by 15. The short curve 1 is followed by a longer curve 5, the center of curvature of which is designated by 15. In this way, the end 7 reaches the side 8 of the transport anchor, while the main part of the bends 1 runs on the opposite side 4.

In the exemplary embodiment shown, the end 7 protrudes only slightly onto the side 8, while the bend on the side 4 is approximately one and a half times the diameter of the anchor part. It was found that such a design fully meets all requirements. Of course, it is possible to make the space required on both sides 4 and 8 the same size. However, an additional rod length at the end 7 no longer has any significant advantages since the size of the breakout cone is not significantly improved thereby.

In the exemplary embodiment shown, the wavy bends are arranged in a single plane, which is generally sufficient for the purposes according to the invention. However, it is also possible to provide the wavy bends in several planes.
