Description

The invention relates to a cross-country ski binding with the features according to the preamble of claim 1.

A known cross-country ski binding of the type DE-A No. 2643223 described above has a holder which essentially consists of a strap which encompasses and overlaps the front end of a sole extension of the cross-country ski boot and a locking element which overlaps the strap. The locking element is a clip or clasp, which has a hook element at its rear end, with which it engages behind both the rear edge of the bracket and a rear-facing shoulder of the sole extension in the tensioned position. At the front end of the clip, a guide roller is mounted on each of its two longitudinal sides, which can roll on an associated guide curve in such a way that the clip can be moved up and down about the hook element as a pivot point. The guide curve has two locking recesses into which the guide roller is drawn in by a tension spring acting on the clamp and of which the upper determines the release position and the lower the clamping position of the clamp. In the tensioned position, the hook element of the clip is held behind and under the rear edge of the bracket, which is bent upwards at an angle.

The well-known cross-country ski binding consists of a plurality of individual parts and is therefore complex to manufacture and assemble, which has an impact on the price. In addition, there is a risk that the interaction of these individual parts (e.g. the guide rollers on the guide curve or the tension spring acting on the clamp) will be impaired by snow or dirt entering during use, so that the function is disturbed.

The invention is therefore based on the object of creating a cross-country ski binding of this type which is of simpler construction and is less susceptible to malfunctions.

According to the invention, this object is achieved by the features according to the characterizing part of patent claim 1.

The cross-country ski binding according to the invention consists in the specified embodiment only of two parts, namely the bracket having the bracket and the clip. The clip consists of a solid, but flexible, deformable material, e.g. As polyamide or polyurethane, the elastic bending deformability is sufficient to snap the clip onto the holder, taking advantage of the guiding action of the said guiding surface, so that the hook element traces the rear edge of the bracket and the front surface of the recess, to which the guiding surface leads , grasp the mentioned edge parallel to the rear edge of the frame. The forwardly extending bracket extension is supported on the top of the ski, for. B. from a bracket extending forward from the base of the ski binding, and thereby determines the contact position of the rear edge of the frame and the edge in front of it on the respectively assigned surfaces in the clamping position. By lifting the clip extension, the clip can be brought back into a release position, the clip pivoting essentially around the point of contact of the rear edge of the bracket on the inner surface of the hook element and the front inner surface of the recess sliding along the aforementioned front edge with simultaneous elastic bending of the clip, until she releases the edge. The bracket thus combines holding, guiding and locking function due to the described design.

Due to the fact that only a real movement between the clamp and the mentioned edges is required for the described actuation of the ski binding, but there are no other moving parts, and in the tensioned position by reaching around the rear edge of the frame and the edge in front of it, a closed one, from the outside not accessible space is formed, penetrating snow and dirt cannot impair the functionality of the binding.

The edge in front of the rear edge of the frame, which comes into contact with the recess in the tensioned position, is expediently the front edge of the frame, so that the width of the frame is the measure determining the distance between the hook element and the guide surface.

In principle, a firm cohesion between the bracket and the holder in the release position is not required for the function described. However, in order to prevent the clip from having to be handled as a loose part, it is provided according to a further embodiment that the holder has side walls which extend forward on both sides of the bracket and to which the clip is movably fastened. However, this attachment does not have to take on any significant weight, but only serves to prevent undesired loosening of the clip from the holder in the release position. It is therefore possible to design the clip and the side walls in such a way that they can be fitted into one another in the manner of an elastic snap connection and can be easily detached from one another. This also enables the clip to be replaced if necessary.

According to a further embodiment, the ski binding according to the invention also provides the function of a safety binding, ie an automatic release of the clip from the holder in the event of excessive lifting and bending of the foot forward. For this purpose, a lever surface projecting backwards is provided on the hook element, which remains out of contact with the upper side of the sole extension of the cross-country ski boot during normal use. However, if the skier falls forward and his foot bends excessively upwards and forwards, the top of the sole extension comes into contact with the lever surface and thereby creates a torque on the bracket in the direction of triggering the hook element from the fin reached with the rear edge of the bracket. Since the Klaromer is supported with the support surface of the clamp extension on the top of the ski, this torque results in an elastic bending of the clamp stone encompassing the bracket, so that depending on the size of the torque, the clamp is snapped out of the grip. According to a further development of the invention, which consists in the support surface on the clip extension being formed on a height-adjustable element, the locomotive force can be adjusted. Because this makes the contact position of the temple edges on the bracket in the Tension position changes, except that a shorter or longer distance has to be covered to release.

Zur Befestigung der Halterung 2 auf der Skioberfläche dienen Schrauben 28, die entsprechende Löcher in der Grundplatte 21 durchsetzen.1 and 6, 7 Skibin extension consists of only two relatively movable parts, namely a mountable on the top 1 of a ski bracket 2 and a bracket 2 attached to the bracket 3. The existing metal or plastic Bracket 2 has an essentially rectangular base plate 21, from the two longitudinal sides of which vertical side walls 22 project upward, which form legs 23 which diverging from one another in their rear region. Between their front and rear ends, the side walls 22 are connected in a bridge-like manner by a bracket 24, the rear edge 25 and the front edge 26 of which are rounded (FIG. 2). The height and also the thickness of the side walls 22 increase from the bracket 25 to the front (FIGS. 2, 3) and the mutually facing inner surfaces of the side walls 22 each have a flat depression 27 which approximately has the shape of a rectangle and is enclosed on all sides. Screws 28, which pass through corresponding holes in the base plate 21, are used to fasten the holder 2 to the ski surface.

The bracket 3 consists of a hard, but elastically bend-deformable plastic, for. B. made of polyamide or polyurethane, and is formed at its rear end to a hook element 31 which is at a distance forward, which is less than the width of the bracket 24, a guide surface 32 opposite. The guide surface 32 forms the front lower boundary surface of a transverse one. in cross-section approximately tailellip table recess 33, which extends from the guide surface 32 and from the tip of the hook element 31 to the inside. Due to the described cross-sectional design of the recess 33, the clamp 3 in the area 34 in front of the hook element 31 has a thinner wall thickness, which results in an elastic bendability of the clip in this area.

Fig. 4, 5). From a central portion 35 of the clip lying in front of the guide surface 32, which is solid in essence, a clip extension 36 extends in an arc towards the front and is supported in the tensioning triangle shown in FIG. 1 via a support surface 37 on the ski upper surface. The support surface 37 is from the head a set screw 38 is formed, which is screwed by means of a self-threading into the bracket extension 36 and therefore cannot rotate automatically. The set screw 38 protrudes slightly with its knurled circumferential surface over the tapered surface of the clamp extension 36 (see FIGS. 4, 5). Between the middle part 35 and the screw 38 of the bracket extension forms one of the two sides he l to gängliche opening 39 into which the skier can engage with the stick or the fingers, to pull the clip projection 36 upward for the purpose of the solution.

An elastically resilient tongue 40 is formed on each of the opposite side surfaces of the central section 35 with a cylindrical extension 41 projecting outwards, which can escape into a cavity 42. As can be seen from FIG. 1, the clamp 3 is held in the recess 27 by form-fitting mounting of the lugs 41, the clamp 3 being detached from the mounting 2 by pressing the tongues 40 inwards and the resulting elastic deflection The lugs 41 can have inclined surfaces, not shown above and below, to facilitate insertion and detachment.

Fig. 6 shows the position of the clamp 3 immediately before pressing on the bracket 24. In order to clamp a rear-facing shoulder 4 of the thickened end area of a front sole extension 5 of a cross-country ski boot 6 in the holder 2, after inserting the end area 6 moves the bracket 3 into the position shown in FIG. 6, in which the tip of the hook element 31 just engages under the rear edge 25 of the bracket. In this position, because of the dimensioning of the recess 33 described above, the guide surface 32 is in contact with the upper side of the bracket 24, ie without the application of force in An engagement of the recess 33 in the bracket 24 cannot be produced in the direction of the arrow 7. However, since the rounded guide surface 32, in conjunction with the abutment on the front edge 26 of the bracket, exerts a wedge effect under the pressing force acting in the direction of the arrow 7, the recess 33 is widened while the clamp 3 is bent, so that the bracket 24 is inserted into the recess 33 can snap. In the resulting tensioned position, which can be seen from FIG. 1, the support surface 37 of the clip extension 36 rests on the upper side 1 of the ski and thereby prevents further insertion of the bracket 24 into the recess 33. Due to the divergence of the inner surfaces of the recess 33 in the region of the hook element 31 and then on the guide surface 32 and due to the elastic pretension which presses the mentioned surfaces against the front and rear edges of the bracket 3, the clamp 3 is firmly seated in the holder 2 and engages under the shoulder 4 with the hook element 31 the sole extension 5 prevented under the bracket 24. A further pushing forward prevents the diverging legs 23 of the bracket 2, which abut the corresponding side flanks of the sole extension 5, not shown.

From the tip of the hook element 31, a lever surface 43 (FIG. 7) extends to the rear, which also projects considerably beyond the rear edge 25 of the bracket 24 in the tensioned position (FIG. 1). Is it z. B. if the skier falls forward to a contact between the top of the sole extension 5 and this lever surface 43 and a forward and upward force is exerted on the lever surface 43, this force creates a torque about an axis which lies in the support surface 37 and extends transversely to the ski. Due to this force and due to the inclined course of the inner surface of the recess 33 adjoining the hook tip, the clamp 3 is bent up elastically, which leads to a release of the recess 33 from the bracket 24. After the solution, the clamp 3 assumes the position shown in FIG. 7 and thereby releases the sole extension 5.

By further unscrewing the set screw 38 from the clip extension 36, the latching position of the clip extension 36 is shifted upward relative to the ski surface, as a result of which the line of contact between the front edge 26 of the bow and the associated inner surface of the recess 33 moves downward. Since this results in a shorter path until the recess 33 is released from engagement with the bracket 24, a release takes place even with a lower releasing force acting on the lever surface 43. The safety release of the clamp 3 is thus individually adjustable by means of the adjusting screw 38.

It can also be seen from FIG. 1 that a downward-pulled apron 44, which extends almost to the top side 1 of the ski, provides protection against the ingress of snow and dirt into the depressions 27.
