Description

The invention relates to a release ski binding according to the first part of claim 1.

Such release ski bindings are described in DE-C-2533337. In these known ski bindings, the spring of the holding device acts via a piston on an approximately mushroom-shaped follower which is pivotally mounted on all sides in the housing of the holding device. This mushroom-shaped follower engages with its handle in a recess of a ski-proof fitting. In these known ski bindings, the ski boot is held at the tip by means of a rigid bracket on the soleplate. In the event of the skier falling backwards, the ski boot is therefore very difficult to release.

This disadvantage is avoided with the ski binding according to DE-D-2 324078, but this binding is very complicated in its construction, the trigger mechanism being accommodated in the space between the base plate and the sole plate. However, this requires special sealing measures against the ingress of snow and dirt. Furthermore, the assembly is cumbersome and complex.

The invention sets itself the goal of eliminating the disadvantages of the known designs and creating a release ski binding of the type mentioned, which is simple in construction and enables precise setting of the desired release moments in the event of a frontal fall and a turning fall.

The set goal is achieved according to the invention by the characterizing features of claim 1.

By the interaction of the holding mechanism and holding device, the clamping jaws essentially forming the holding mechanism being able to be brought into the holding position in a controlled manner by the slide plate, and the slide plate being actuable by means of the control lever and the step bracket, the slide plate being controlled by the intermediate lever which is operated by means of the Detent lever releasably connects the slide plate with the resilient holding device, all goals are solved individually and also in common. The design according to the invention also gives the designer great freedom for the design of the individual components.

In itself, the idea of mounting one-armed clamping jaws, which engage laterally on the ski boot, on a sole plate and bring them into the clamping position by means of wedge-shaped lugs, is already known, such as DE-A1-2943209 (WO-A- 79/00798) and DE-A1-3 026 918 (WO-A-80/01354). However, in these versions, the detent spring acts directly on the clamping jaws, the load of which is used to trigger the ski binding involuntarily, which involves certain inaccuracies, compared to the ski bindings of the type mentioned at the outset, in which the pivoting angle of the soleplate is decisive for opening the holding mechanism .

Furthermore, it is no longer new to use kick bars for ski bindings (cf. US-A-4312517). However, in the known ski binding, the kick bar is only used to pivot the two brake mandrels from their braking position upwards over the level of the upper side of the ski when the ski boot is being inserted, and at the same time to align the ski boot both in the longitudinal direction and in the transverse direction of the ski. In this version, the holding elements for the ski boot are not actuated by the kickbar.

Due to the features of claim 2, a large lever ratio can be brought about and the force required for the adjustment of the slide plate can thus be greatly reduced.

Due to the design according to claim 3, the function to be performed by the control lever is divided into two pairs of elements, the one pair only displacing the slide plate towards the end of the ski, the other pair, however, initially adjusting the slide plate towards the tip of the ski and then an abrupt one Move the slide plate to the clamping position.

6 vorgesehen. The measure of claim 4 simplifies the entry of the ski boot into the ski binding insofar as the relative movement between the tip of the ski boot and the ski is significantly reduced compared to the reverse arrangement (arrangement of the kick bar axis at the end of the slide plate facing the end of the ski). In order to facilitate the opening of the ski binding, the features of claims 5 and 6 are provided according to the invention.

A particularly compact arrangement for connecting the slide plate and control lever results from the features of claim 7.

By the measure of claim 8, the friction between the slide plate and the two locking levers is greatly reduced, whereby the accuracy with which the ski binding opens at the set triggering torque is significantly increased.

A particularly favorable coupling of the intermediate lever to the or each latching lever results from the features of claim 9.

In order to bring about a manual triggering of the ski binding in a simple manner, the features of claim 10 are provided.

A very sensitive adjustment of the spring preload is achieved by the features of claim 11. The efficiency of this measure can be further increased by the features of claim 12.

Due to the features of claims 13 and 14, it is possible to keep the ratio of the bias of the detent spring constant at the beginning of the elastic range and at the trigger point even when the effective at the beginning of the elastic range by means of the adjusting screw tension of the detent spring is changed.

In order to enable a transmission of the spring force in the area of the spring housing without major friction losses, the features of claim 15 are provided.

Finally, it has proven to be particularly advantageous for the production of the ski binding if the configuration is made in accordance with the measures of claim 16.

Fig. 6). Jede Spannbacke 5 ist als zweiarmiger Hebel ausgebildet. On a ski 1, three holding elements are fastened, namely a hold-down device 1a, a central bearing pin 1b and a bearing block 1c for a follower 2. There is a sole plate 3 above the ski 1. This has a transverse upper support strip 3a at its front end, at a distance from this a lower support bar 3b parallel to the first support bar, furthermore a receiving bore 3c for the bearing journal 1b and a shoulder 3d in which a holding device 4 is accommodated. On the side surfaces of the sole plate 3, two pairs of clamping jaws 5 are mounted so as to be pivotable about longitudinal axes 5a (see FIG. 6). Each jaw 5 is designed as a two-armed lever.

Fig. 8), deren Zweck später erläutert wird.In the sole plate 3, a step bracket 6 is pivotally mounted on an axis 6a. The kick bracket 6 is under the influence of a set-up spring 6b designed as a leg spring. Furthermore, the kick bar 6 has on its underside a guide 6c which extends in its longitudinal direction and in which a roller 7a is guided which is mounted at the end of a control lever 7. This end carries a nose 7e. The control lever 7 is designed as a two-armed lever and can be pivoted about an axis 7b mounted in the soleplate 3. The lever arm opposite the roller 7a is fork-shaped by carrying two longer inner tines 7c and two shorter outer tines 7d (see FIG. 8), the purpose of which will be explained later.

On the sole plate 3, a slide plate 8 is guided. In plan view, this carries wedge-shaped lugs 8a, which act on the lower arms of the clamping jaws 5 in the clamping position of the ski binding. 6, the slide plate 8 consists of two parts, which receive the lugs 8a between them and are connected by rivets, not shown. On the slide plate 8, two bearing blocks 8b and 8c are fastened, in which a bolt 9 is guided so as to be displaceable in the longitudinal direction of the ski. The bolt 9 carries a collar 9a and is under the influence of a compression spring 9b which abuts the collar 9a at one end and the bearing block 8b at the other end. The spring 9b therefore tries to move the pin 9 towards the end of the ski. In the slide plate 8 there is an approximately T-shaped recess 8d in plan view, into which the inner 7c and the outer tines 7d engage in the entry position of the ski binding. If the kick bar 6 is depressed by the foot of the user, the outer tines 7d are supported on the two shoulders of the approximately T-shaped recess located in the central longitudinal region of the recess 8d, whereas the inner tines 7c can pivot freely in the recess 8d. These tines 7c are only intended to rest against the right-hand boundary of the recess 8d in FIG. 8.

At its end, which is removed from the clamping jaws 5 and is located in the holding device 4, the slide plate 8 is fork-shaped. Each fork tine 8e or 8f carries a roller 8g, which rests on a shoulder 10a of a one-arm locking lever 10 in the ski binding's driving position. This locking lever 10 extends essentially in the longitudinal direction of the ski and is pivotable about a bolt 10b, which is fastened in lugs 11a of a spring housing 11 and is guided in elongated holes 3e which are recessed in two plate-like projections 3f, 3g of the soleplate 3 located in the lug 3d are. In the spring housing 11, a release spring 12, which is designed as a compression spring, is accommodated and acts on a piston 13, on whose side facing away from the release spring 12, a roller 14 is mounted. This roller 14 is pressed by the release spring 12 against a one-armed lever 15, which is mounted in the shoulder 3d of the soleplate 3 on an axis 15b and carries a cam 15a on the side opposite the roller 14. This bears against a piston 16 which is guided in a bore 3k of the projection 3d. The end face of the piston 16 remote from the cam 15a is in contact with the head of the mushroom-shaped follower 2. In addition, the piston 16 is penetrated by a bolt 16a running in the transverse direction, which is guided in elongated holes 3m in the projection 3d and projects laterally over it.

Approximately in the central region of the length of the spring housing 11 are attached to this transverse lateral journal 11 on which two two-armed levers 17 are mounted. The lower ends of these levers 17 are connected by a rotatably mounted pin 17a, which has a threaded bore running transversely to the pin axis. A set screw 18 is screwed into this, which is supported with its collar on the inside of the spring housing 11. Associated with the other end of the two levers 17 is an at least approximately parallel support wall 3n in the approach 3d of the sole plate 3 which runs parallel to the upper side of the ski.

On axis 15b is also a - in ski length seen direction - about U-shaped intermediate lever 19 mounted, which is pivoted clockwise under the influence of a leg spring 19a. This intermediate lever 19 rests with one arm on the bolt 16a of the piston 16. Another arm of the intermediate lever 19 carries an axis 19b which, on the one hand, passes through an elongated hole 10c running approximately in the longitudinal direction of the latching lever 10 and, on the other hand, serves as a bearing pin for a joint plate 20. The other end of the link plate 20 is articulated to a release lever 21, which is designed as a two-armed lever and can be pivoted about an axis 21 a arranged in the projection 3d of the sole plate 3 or in the plate-like projections 3f, 3g thereof.

The mushroom-shaped follower 2, which is supported by the pressure of the piston 16 with its head on a retracted edge of the bore 3k in the approach 3d of the sole plate 3, has two approximately spherical thickenings 2a and 2b on its stem, one of which 2a in one horizontal and the other 2b is housed in a vertical guide of the bearing block 1c. This measure, in coordination with the corresponding moment arms of the soleplate, determines the ratio of the release torque required for the release in the event of a frontal fall to that of a rotary fall.

If the ski binding is to be adapted to the ability of the skier and the physical constitution of the skier, the adjusting screw 18 is first turned, e.g. screwed deeper into the threaded bore of the bolt 17a. As a result, the lever 17 is pivoted counterclockwise and the spring housing 11 is pivoted clockwise about the axis 10b relative to the soleplate 3 by the release spring 12, the spring relaxing somewhat. At the same time, however, the roller 14, which is actuated by the release spring 12 via the piston 13, moves along the side surface of the lever 15 in the direction of the axis 15b thereof. This, however, reduces the effective lever arm of the lever 15 and additionally reduces the pressure exerted on the piston by the somewhat relaxed release spring 12.

When getting in, the ski boot 22 (this is only indicated in FIG. 6) is attached to the step bracket 6 with the transverse surface of its heel and then depressed against the sole plate 3. The clamping jaws 5 are opened in that the slide plate 8 is first shifted somewhat to the left in FIG. 1 by the control lever 7, which is coupled to the step bracket 6 via the roller 7a, against the force of the release spring 12. This is accomplished by the outer prongs 7d of the control lever 7 being supported on the two shoulders of the approximately T-shaped recess 8d and displacing the slide plate 8 against the ski tip. At the same time, the bolt 10b, which forms the pivot axis for the latching mechanism 10, moves in the elongated holes 3e in the plate-like projections 3f and 3g of the soleplate 3. However, if the outer prongs 7d of the control lever 7 have passed the upper boundary surface of the slide plate 8, then it will snap this suddenly under the influence of the release spring 12 to the right, the wedge-shaped projections 8a of the slide plate 8 coming to rest on the corresponding inclined surfaces on the lower arms of the clamping jaws 5. As a result, the ski boot 22 is tightened in the ski binding. In this position, the bolt 9 is supported on the nose 7e of the control lever 7.

If a fall takes place during the journey, regardless of whether this fall is a frontal, a rotary fall or a combined fall, the follower 2 is pivoted relative to the shoulder 3d of the soleplate 3, whereby the piston 16 in the bore 3k against the force of the release spring 12 housed in the spring housing 11 is pushed back. Here, the piston 16 pivots the intermediate lever 19 via the pin 16a, which lifts the locking lever 10 via the axis 19b and thereby removes the latter from the rollers 8g mounted in the slide plate 8. The slide plate 8 is now shifted to the left in FIG. 1 by the compression spring 9b, which is pretensioned on the collar 9a of the bolt 9 or, via this, on the nose 9e of the control lever 7. As a result, however, the wedge-shaped projections 8a of the slide plate 8 are removed from the corresponding surfaces on the lower arms of the clamping jaws 5, and the ski boot 22 can leave the ski binding.

If the ski binding is to be opened arbitrarily, a pressure is exerted on the release lever 21 with the ski pole tip, which swivels the lever clockwise. As a result, however, the locking levers 10 are raised via the articulated brackets 20, as a result of which the rollers 8g roll off the shoulders 10a of the locking levers 10. The rest of the process corresponds to that in the event of an involuntary release of the ski binding.

Before the ski boot 22 left the ski binding, the slide plate 8 was pushed to the left by the compression spring 9b, as has already been explained. As a result, the two outer prongs 7d of the control lever 7 could enter the recess 8d of the slide plate 8 again. The kick bracket 6, which is under the influence of the spring 6b and is coupled to the control lever 7 via the roller 7a, thus reaches the position shown in FIG. 1. The slide plate 8 is shifted to the right by the inner prongs 7c of the control lever 7, which come to rest on the right boundary of the recess 8d, until their rollers 8g come to rest on the shoulders 10a of the latching lever) 10. In this way, the entry position of the ski binding is restored.

Of course, the invention is in no way tied to the exemplary embodiment shown in the drawing and described above. Rather, various modifications thereof are possible without leaving the scope of the invention. For example, the ski binding could also be with a differently shaped mushroom-shaped follower or with two parallel links - one for frontal falls, the other for rotary falls.

In principle, direct loading of the piston assigned to the follower by the spring of the holding device would also be conceivable.
