Definitions
- the invention relates to an electrically driven propeller according to the preamble of claim 1.
- Such a propeller is known from DE-C-688 11.4. This runs approximately in the middle of a nozzle, the stator and rotor of the electric motor being received by the nozzle body. The wing ends of the screw are connected to the rotor. The screw can be mounted on a shaft and this can be held in the nozzle via a cross arm. The propeller and the rotor can be stored differently directly in the nozzle via rollers, balls or conical rollers. In this case, the bearings must be able to absorb the screw thrust and the weight of the rotor. Replacement or maintenance of the stator or rotor and propeller is only possible by disassembling the nozzle.
- Such an arrangement is also suitable for arranging the rotor in the axis of the propeller, as in the case of the Pleuger motors, for generating an increased thrust output in the case of highly loaded propellers. With normal thrust loading on the propeller, such an arrangement does not improve the efficiency of the propeller.
- TVF propeller tip vortex free
- magazine “HANSA 1982. No. 12, page 816 in which the wing tips of the propeller are cut and given a belt.
- These can be designed as curved plates and attached to the wing ends in order to form an aerofoil that rotates coaxially with the propeller.
- the propeller is located at the end of a nozzle and is driven by the shaft. With these propellers, an increased thrust can be generated even with normally loaded screws.
- propellers are operated electrically as active rudders, swiveling gondola drives or submarine drives with torque introduction via the wing attachments, large hubs or long electrical machines must be used on average.
- the invention has for its object to provide an electrically driven propeller of the type described, which ensures a great thrust effect at low speeds and a high maintenance friendliness due to its arrangement and the type of torque input.
- the electrically driven propeller can be used for active rudders according to claim 2 and stored directly in the rudder with a slim hub.
- it can also be used as a nozzle gondola drive, the propeller shaft being mounted in the nozzle via an arm cross.
- the propeller according to the invention can also be used as a submarine drive according to claim 4.
- the nozzle is held directly on an arm cross on the enveloping body and the screw is mounted on an extension of the enveloping body which is greatly reduced in diameter.
- the propeller according to the invention has the particular advantage that a substantial improvement in efficiency compared to the conventional drives of this type is achieved.
- the installation, removal and maintenance of the propeller and the motor rotor are simple and unproblematic.
- the energy can be recovered from the entire friction wake.
- a good rudder effect is achieved by the central bearing, the rudder surfaces can be minimal.
- the active rudder according to Fig. 1 a shows a rudder blade 1, which is mounted in the usual way over the rudder post 2 in the stern of a ship.
- a slim hub 7 is provided for fastening the screw wings 6.
- the stator 8 of an electric motor is let into the end part of the nozzle 3.
- the electrical leads can by the rudder shaft 2 to. Stator 8 are performed.
- the wing ends of the screw 4 are trimmed and provided with fluidically shaped plates 9.
- the individual plates 9 can be connected to one another to form a peripheral ring.
- the plates 9 can accommodate the rotor 10 in sectors.
- the rotor is distributed over the entire circumference.
- the plates 9 or the ring are extended beyond the plane formed by the rear boundary edges of the wings 6 (extensions 11), as a result of which the vortex formation normally occurring at the wing ends is linearized.
- the gap between stator 8 and rotor 10 is flowed through by the surrounding water.
- Fig. 1b which shows a section A-A 'of Fig. 1a, it can be seen that the hub 7 of the propeller 4 is slim and merges into the rudder blade 1 in terms of flow.
- the nozzle nacelle 12 according to FIG. 2a is mounted in the stern of a ship via a shaft 13.
- the propeller 14 with the plates 15 or a peripheral ring which receive the rotor is placed in the end region of the nozzle 16.
- the propeller shaft 17 is supported by a fluidically designed arm cross 18.
- FIG. 2 b shows a top view of the arm cross 18 so that the plates 15 or the ring run about half in the annular recess of the nozzle.
- Fig. The stern 20 of a submarine is indicated with the pressure body 21 and the enveloping body 22. While usually the propeller of the submarine is driven via a shaft from the inside of the pressure body and thereby considerable sealing problems when the shaft is passed through the pressure body this difficulty is now overcome.
- the nozzle 23 is fastened to the enveloping body 22 by means of arm crosses 24, 25.
- the enveloping body 22 has a cylindrical extension 27. This considerably simplifies removal of the propeller and, moreover, the entire after-flow of friction is captured by the nozzle 23 and used for the propulsion.
- Fig. 4 shows a variant of a submarine drive.
- the approach 28 of the enveloping body 22 is made slightly stronger.
- the nozzle 29 is fastened to it with an arm cross 30, the propeller 31 is mounted, and the rudder 32 and rudder 33 are arranged behind it.
- the entire after-flow of friction is used for propulsion and the rudder effect is significantly increased.

Description
Fig.2b zeigt die Draufsicht auf das Armkreuz 18.
- Fig. 4 zeigt eine Variante eines U-Boot-Antriebes.
