Die Erfindung betrifft eine Vorrichtung zur Kontrolle der Anwesenheit einer Warenbahn, insbesondere eines Streifens aus dünner glasklarer Folie, nach dem Oberbegriff des Anspruchs 1. Zigarettenpackungen werden bekanntlich in Zellglas- oder Polypropylenfolien eingehüllt, welche mit einem Aufreissbändchen versehen sind. Dieses Aufreissbändchen besteht meist aus glasklarem Material. In Umhüllungsmaschinen etwa von Zigarettenverpackungsanlagen wird eine mit einem Aufreissbändchen 1 versehene Folienbahn 2 normalerweise über eine Umlenkrolle 3 zugeführt, wobei Rollen 4 und 5 dem Vorzug der Folienbahn 2 dienen. Um die Anwesenheit des Aufreissbändchens 1 zu erkennen, sind in einem um einen Bolzen 6 schwenkbaren, gabelförmigen Hebel 7 Rollen 8 und 9 gleichen Durchmessers unabhängig voneinander über Nadellager 10 auf einem Bolzen 10a gelagert. Ein Ring 11 verhindert die Übertragung der Drehung von der Rolle 8, welche auf dem Aufreissbändchen 1 abrollt, auf die Rolle 9. Das hat den Grund, dass eine Fotozelle 14, wenn zufällig die Grenze zwischen Markierung und Rolle 9 vor ihr steht, ein wechselndes Signal abgeben und so die Drehung der Rolle 9 fälschlicherweise simulieren kann. Die zweite Fotozelle 14 steht dann jedoch sicher nicht auf einer solchen Grenze.
