Procédé pour le renouvellement d'un appareil de voie caractérisé par le fait que le nouvel appareil de voie est prémonté en atelier en au moins deux éléments, le cas échéant à l'exception des traverses dont la longueur dépasse une longueur déterminée ou à l'exception des traverses d'extrémité des éléments dépassant une longueur déterminée, que ces éléments neufs et le cas échéant les traverses neuves isolées, sont transportés vers le chantier dans un wagon surbaissé, lesdits éléments étant maintenus dans une position inclinée dans laquelle ils ne dépassent pas le gabarit prescrit, que l'on sépare l'ancien appareil en au moins deux éléments correspondant aux éléments neufs prémontés et que l'on lève ces anciens éléments à travers l'intérieur d'un cadre vide d'un wagon de travail dont la longueur intérieure est supérieure à la longueur des éléments et dont la largeur intérieure peut être agrandie jusqu'à une valeur supérieure à la largeur maximale des éléments, après avoir, le cas échéant, démonté les anciennes traverses dont la longueur dépasse une longueur déterminée, ou les traverses d'extrémité des anciens éléments dépassant une longueur déterminée, que ces anciens éléments enlevés dont transportés sur un autre wagon de transport surbaissé et maintenus dans une position dans laquelle ils ne dépassent pas le gabarit prescrit et que les éléments neufs prémontés sont transportés au-dessus dudit cadre vide et abaissés à travers ce cadre et posés, le cas échéant après que l'on ait mis en place les traverses neuves isolées.1.
