Description

The present invention relates to an element for ventilation blinds in which two longitudinally extending, spaced-apart shells are connected to one another with their edge zones to form a box-shaped cross section, while the edge edges of adjacent elements are pivoted about their longitudinal axis into mutually overlapping positions are to be brought.

Elements for ventilation blinds of this type are known from DE-PS 17 79 255. Here are used as shells parallel to each other, straight-sided sheets, of which the sheet facing the room to be ventilated is perforated, so that in connection with a sound-absorbing element located between the shells there is also sound insulation.

This known element can be used within limited dimensions. With increasing sizes of the ventilation openings, however, the shells deflect because the elements are stiffened due to the filling with a sound-absorbing material. are not possible. In addition, even in the full open position of the elements, a very large part of the total cross section is not used for ventilation due to flow turbulence.

The invention has for its object to further develop an element of the type mentioned in such a way that it can be used on the one hand with greater mechanical loads, such as result primarily, but not exclusively, from larger dimensions, and on the other hand, that a larger proportion of the ventilation cross-section can be used for the flow in the open position of the elements.

This problem is solved by the invention as characterized in the claims.

In this way, a ventilation element of particular mechanical resistance is obtained because the interconnected shells have a considerably increased strength. This can be done without additional stiffeners between the shells or to have to use them outside, so that on the one hand the excellent sound insulation is retained, and on the other hand the absence of external ribs or the like prevents the flow from being adversely affected. The latter is rather favorably influenced by the special cross-sectional shape of the new element in such a way that the vortex formation occurring in the known elements is largely avoided. This already results in a sound-absorbing effect, since the penetrating air causes less noise from the flow.

The straight surface design of the shell which can be turned towards the outflow side enables particularly effective tensioning between the two shells by keeping the curved shell taut like a tendon. The straight bowl is expediently perforated. In relation to the curved shell, a vibration resonator is thus obtained which responds to different sound frequencies in accordance with the different distances of the two shells from one another and is thereby able to dampen a particularly already banded sound frequency spectrum.

In addition, as has been known per se, sound-absorbing material can be used between the two shells, which then has a particularly good effect if the sound-absorbing material has a cavity structure in shells made of metal, for example light metal.

The strength of the new element is further increased in that the shells themselves are relieved of storage functions. For this purpose, the end faces of the elements are tightly closed with sheet metal adapted to them. In the case of sheets of this type, the sections projecting from the end faces can advantageously have a joint for a common actuating rod, with which several elements of the same ventilating blind can be adjusted at the same time, while the sheets are pivotable in the area of the end faces about stationary axes. The actuating rod can be triggered with a small actuating force at a corresponding distance between the two pivot bearings, so that it can be provided above all for the setting of the elements to a specific opening cross section and, if appropriate, also for control purposes.

The ventilation requirements often provide for a complete, airtight and rainproof closure of the ventilation blind. In order to ensure this in the elements according to the invention, one of its edge zones is provided with an outer rubber edge which forms a seal with the other edge zone of the respectively adjacent element in the closed position.

In order to make the seal mentioned effective, it is advantageous if the rubber edge can be brought into contact with tension. It can achieve an effective sealing force as well as a long-lasting function in that it runs approximately parallel to the direction of the curved shell in the direction of its thicker cross-sectional area in order to come into sealing engagement with an extension of the curved shell of the adjacent element at a flat angle. The flatter the angle mentioned, the more the sealing surface between the rubber edge and the extension of the curved shell of the adjacent element increases.

To further protect the above-mentioned seal and also to improve the strength, the aforementioned extension is formed with a section directed towards the cross-sectional center, which in the closed position covers the rubber edge of the adjacent element.

Darin zeigen:

For the construction of the new element, two separately manufactured shells are particularly suitable, which are connected to one another by frictional engagement by having locking devices on the edge. To further illustrate the invention, reference is made to the drawings relating to an exemplary embodiment. In it show:
  • FIG. 1 shows the element according to the invention in its closed position,
  • Figure 2 shows a multiple arrangement of a ventilation blind in the open position of the individual elements and
  • 3 shows a view along the section line III-III of FIG.

According to FIGS. 1 and 2, cross section 1 shows a clearly asymmetrical design, reference being made to the fixed pivot axis 21, as indicated in FIG. 2. In particular, one can see an enlarged cross-sectional area 12 and an opposing tapered cross-sectional area 22. The curved shell 2 and the straight-faced shell 3 delimit the above-mentioned cross-section to form the shape mentioned. The arrangement is such that the element can be brought into its closed position in the direction of the pivot arrow 23 about the stationary axis 21. It turns its curved shell 2 towards the inflow direction 20. The straight-sided shell 3 is still perforated, as can be seen from the openings 24 in a cutout area. When the openings are made over the entire surface of the shell 3, the aforementioned vibration resonators result for different sound frequencies. The sound-absorbing material 4, as can be seen from the detail in FIG. 1, has a porous structure.

Außerdem tragen die Bleche Lager für die Achsen 21.The end faces 5 of the elements are closed with metal sheets, the projecting sections 6 of which are articulated to a common actuating rod 7 for all elements of a ventilation blind. The sheets also have bearings for the axles 21.

The edge zones 10 are designed with a rubber edge 8 which forms a seal with the edge zone 9 of the adjacent element.

As already mentioned, this is particularly effective if the rubber edge 8 extends in the direction 11 parallel to the rise of the curved shell 2, so that there is a flat sealing angle between the rubber edge 8 and the edge zone 9. The edge zone 9 results as an extension of the curved shell 2 beyond the edge 13. This extension merges into the angled section 14, which covers the rubber edge 8 of the adjacent element in its closed position.

Figure 1 further shows that the shells 2 and 3 are locked together. For this purpose, there is on the one hand the lock 15, 16 and on the other hand the lock 17, 18. In this way, the locking can be carried out with a force fit, which counteracts a deformation of the element when exposed to external forces.
