Description

The invention relates to seating or rest furniture according to the preamble of claim 1.

Such seating or rest furniture is basically already known from US-A-1 973 753 and US-A-1 957 005.

From US-A-1 553 678 a piece of seating furniture is known in which the upper part is suspended from the lower part via a pendulum joint. Because of the friction occurring in the joints, however, this arrangement is only of limited sensitivity.

From CH-A-242 273 a piece of furniture arranged on at least one pair of legs is known, the legs being connected to one another in pairs like two handlebars in a handlebar parallelogram, the pivoting movement of the legs being resiliently limited. The legs can also be elastic.

There have been many attempts to replace the previously widely used static seating and relaxation furniture with dynamic ones. Rocking chairs are already known which, unlike the usual chairs, have a dynamic component. The same applies to the cradles, which, because of their dynamic component, are perceived by the children as particularly pleasant and promote sleep. More recently, the waterbed has appeared on the market as a modern type of dynamic bed.

However, the waterbed has considerable disadvantages in that it requires a relatively large amount of space, reacts sluggishly to movements, is very heavy and quite expensive, and considerable damage can be expected if the water leaks. In addition, the waterbed does not allow continuous up and down movements and does not offer a constant horizontal lying surface.

The invention has for its object to provide a dynamic seating or rest furniture that gives the user a largely frictionless movement in three coordinate directions with relatively low weight and relatively low price.

This object is achieved with the aid of the characterizing features of claim 1. Advantageous further developments result from the dependent claims.

This solution has the considerable advantage that, in addition to the small space requirement and the relatively low price with the least body movement of the resting or sleeping person, a maximum degree of self-dynamics is offered. All noise is avoided.

This is of considerable importance for those looking for sleep, since even in the nighttime with low noise levels in the area, even small noises are perceived as very annoying.

  • Fig. 1 die Stirnansicht eines dynamisch gelagerten Bettgestells,

  • Fig. 6 die Ausbildung einer Pendelsperre.
The invention is explained below with reference to the drawing figures, for example. Show it :
  • 1 is an end view of a dynamically mounted bed frame,
  • 2 shows the detail of the suspension of the bed frame via a hanging pendulum,
  • 3 shows the detail of the suspension of the bed frame via a pendulum support,
  • 4 shows a variant for use in a conventional bed frame,
  • Fig. 5 shows a special design of the counter pendulum in the form of a bending rod with an oval cross section and
  • Fig. 6 shows the formation of a pendulum lock.

Fig. 1 shows a conventional frame 10, which differs from the usual frames because of its pendulum suspension. Instead of the usual foot, the foot was split lengthways here and the corresponding parts were connected by a pendulum 11. This makes it possible to make the upper part 12 of the bed frame oscillate in all directions with respect to the lower, fixed part 13. The designs of the two parts 12 and 13 of the bed frame only have to be chosen so that a mutual striking of the upper and lower part of the bed frame does not occur during the pendulum movements, since this would be perceived as disturbing.

Here, for example, appropriate padding with soft rubber can provide a fairly significant reduction in such shocks if the design pendulum movements are exceeded. However, a so-called «counter pendulum 14 with a pendulum length that differs from the actual pendulum has proven to be much cheaper. Depending on the available free pendulum length of the counter pendulum 14, the pendulum movements of the upper part 12 of the bed frame relative to the lower part 13 are more or less limited in their deflections without any shocks occurring. The braking of the pendulum movement takes place with increasing deflections with increasing counterforce and completely smoothly. If the effective pendulum length of the counter pendulum 14 can be adjusted, the user can set the desired effects himself. As the effective pendulum length of the counter pendulum 14 becomes shorter, the pendulum movements of the upper part 12 of the bed frame are increasingly reduced, and as mentioned - without any reaction.

The adjustability of the effective pendulum length can, for example, by means of a vertically adjustable counter-holder 15, for. B. in the form of a ring comprising the individual strands of the counter pendulum 14. This can be done either in stages or continuously. The arrangement of the pendulums to each other, the pendulum length and the weight of the user also influence the pendulum characteristics.

Although it is basically possible to design the counter pendulum 14 as a single strand, it has proven to be advantageous in many cases to construct the counter pendulum 14 from several strands, since different effects in the corresponding directions can then be achieved by differently designing the base area for the points of attack of the individual strands of the counter pendulum 14. While none of the directions is preferred when using a square base area, the effects of the counter pendulum will be different in the individual directions with a rectangular or oval base area. In the direction of the long sides of the rectangle or oval there is practically the effect of a longer counter pendulum 14, while in the direction of the broad sides of the rectangle or in the direction of the smaller diameter of the oval there is the effect of a shorter counter pendulum 14. The pendulum effects in one or the other direction can also be individually set by the user. Of course, the longitudinal elasticity of the individual strands of the counter pendulum 14 is of considerable importance in the action of the counter pendulum.

A corresponding effect can also be achieved with the aid of a bending rod 16, which has either a circular or an oval cross section and then also shows direction-dependent behavior.

It would also be possible to hold the vertical elements 17 of the upper part 12 of the bed frame leading to the pendulum suspension all around in rubber threads 18, which likewise limits the pendulum movements. Because of the stretching that occurs in the rubber threads due to the elastic deformations, energy is consumed here, however. H. damping effect occurs. Similar effects result if the vertical element 17 of the upper part 12 of the bed frame is surrounded all around by a foam rubber cushion which is in turn fixed in place.

As shown in Fig. 3, a pendulum support 11 'can be used instead of a hanging pendulum 11, which then for a pendulum connection between the upper part 12 of the bed frame and the fixed lower part. 13 of the bed frame. The counter pendulums 14 mentioned above can also be used in such an arrangement.

As can be seen in FIG. 4, a bed frame 19 which is conventional per se can also be made dynamic without any noteworthy conversions. For this purpose, instead of the conventional spring insert, a flat frame 20 is used, which takes over the task of the lower fixed part 13 of the bed frame and to which the movable upper part 21, which corresponds to the movable part of the bed frame, with the aid of a pendulum 11 is suspended hanging free. The effect is as described above.

If for some reason the user does not want the possible pendulum movement at certain times, the two mutually movable parts 12 and 13 or 20 and 21 can be locked against one another by means of a foldable or pivotable tab 22 and a counter pin 23 or similar that the dynamic bed then only has the effect of a static bed.

Although the effects have been described here solely on the basis of seating or relaxation furniture, the system can also be used for storing highly sensitive machines and devices as well as for chair-table combinations.

In a very corresponding manner, as previously described for locking, systems that are individually oscillating can also be connected to one another. be coupled. A motor drive imparting pendulum impulses can also be provided.
