Claims (6)

1. Cross-country ski boot, characterized in that
- it comprises a shell (1) in rigid plastic material, removably fittable over an inner shoe (2) in supple material which is relatively thick for comfort and size-compensation,
- in that the upper part (4) of said shell is entirely cut out (14) in the area where the boot is required to bend at the same time as the metatar- sus, substantially through to the outer sole (3),
- and in that the inner shoe (2), which is in closed-pore wear-resistant foam, more densified in some parts than in others, comprising a thicker and compressible part (20) which encloses the top of the foot and which presents, in facing relation to the metatarsal perforations of the shell, transverse grooves (21) which also help antero-posterior bending.
2. Boot according to claim 1, characterized in that the outer sole (3) of the shell (1) is provided in the area corresponding to the metatarsal-cutout part (14), with transverse grooves (15) which are also designed to help antero-posterior bending.

Boot acccording to claim 1, characterized in that the shell (1) is provided in the instep area with a split part (12) which separates two lateral flaps (10, 11). adapted to be squeezed over by a clip member (13) which interjoins them over the inner shoe (2) so as to hold the foot firmly for comfort.
4. Boot according to claim t, characterized in that the rising part (8) of the upper of the shell (1) is relatively low and presents, in the area of the ankle two lateral relieving indentations (9) issuing on to the neck portion (25).
5. Boot according to claim 1, characterized in that the inner shoe (2) is monolithic and presents a convex stiffening part (18) designed to fit inside a complementary supporting part (8) of the sheli (1).
6. Boot according to claim 1, characterized in that a beveiled piece (24) forming schank or heel is provided, which bevelled piece can indifferently be molded with the outer sole (16) of the inner shoe (2) or be built on to the shell (1), on the top of its own outer sole (3).
