Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a pointer arrangement for a time display device which can be illuminated by transmitted light, with at least two differently long, centrally arranged hands and a time scale.
The aim, for example, in automotive instruments due to the demand for an equally good readability of the displayed values within a relatively large solid angle, without glare and halo, but on the other hand also high-contrast illumination of scales and pointers of the relevant analog indicating measuring devices has led to solutions in which through the application of light guide and light scattering means, for example, a scale printed directly on a corresponding light scattering disc can be illuminated, so to speak, in the transmitted light method. The remaining and considerably more difficult design problem is the illumination of one or even several pointers, for example, arranged centrally, when mixed lighting, i.e. Transmitted light for the scale and incident light for the pointers, the pointers usually having a roof shape and being illuminable by light flooding over the scale carrier, are out of the question.
To solve this problem, it has been proposed with DE-GM 79 o1 4o6 to design the pointer of a measuring instrument on an opaque disk driven by the measuring mechanism and moved in front of a light diffusing screen by slitting the disk or by using a disk made of translucent material Hide the pointer by appropriately covering the disc.
Another solution is shown in DE-PS 11 45 8 0 8. In the subject of this patent, the light is arranged in a concealed manner Light source by means of a light guide body on the one hand in the kalenträger S, on the other hand in a light transmitting pointer, namely injected via the trained for the light acquisition suitably hub.
Mit dem DE-GM 1 944 977 ist auch eine Zeigeranordnung für eine mit zwei zentrisch angeordneten Zeigern ausgerüstete Zeitanzeigevorrichtung bekannt geworden, die vorsieht, daß sowohl der Stunden- als auch der Minutenzeiger aus lichtdurchlässigem Werkstoff hergestellt sind und daß das der Beleuchtung der beiden Zeiger dienende Licht von den ebenfalls lichtleitenden Zeigernaben übernommen, an geeigneter Reflektionsfläche umgelenkt und in die Zeigerfahnen geleitet wird.DE-GM 1 944 977 also discloses a pointer arrangement for a time display device equipped with two centrally arranged hands, which provides that both the hour and minute hands are made of translucent material and that the one used to illuminate the two hands Light is taken from the likewise light-guiding pointer hubs, deflected at a suitable reflection surface and directed into the pointer flags.
Furthermore, it can be seen from DE-PS 28 48 00 1, in which various pointers that can be illuminated that are largely optimized with regard to uniform illumination are shown, that such pointers, apart from an elaborate design, must have a relatively large-volume pointer hub and a considerable overall height, and thus require a relatively large pointer eye covering the pointer hub.
It is easy to see that the solutions mentioned are largely unsuitable for the pointer design of a time display device, in which, as is known, design aspects play a decisive role.
One of these aspects is, for example, that voluminous pointers are avoided, that is, not least because of the parallax, the lowest possible height and fine pointer flags with the smallest possible pointer eye are desirable. In addition, the pointer flags should, if possible, be formed in the length ratios familiar from time display devices, that is to say pointer sections or exclusively illuminated pointer tips be avoided.
The object of the present invention was accordingly to provide a pointer arrangement for a time display device which is free from stray light and without halos and which can be illuminated by transmitted light and which, with uniform and high-contrast illumination of the hands, does justice to the design conditions mentioned.
The solution to this problem is characterized by two disks made of translucent material of different diameters, of which the smaller disk is assigned to the hour wave and the larger disk to the minute wave of a time drive, by an hour hand hidden on the smaller disk by means of an opaque mask, by one made of translucent material, with respect to the hour hand longer minute hand and in that the minute hand is connected to the larger disc so that it overlaps the smaller disc in the radial direction.
Further improvements of the selected embodiment are presented in the subclaims.
The construction according to the invention, which is well coordinated with regard to the design requirements, is particularly advantageous in terms of lighting technology because the light path between the light guide and the pointer elements is designed to be as short as possible and largely free of deflection and relatively large transfer areas are provided.
It is also advantageous that, for example, the light for illuminating the minute hand is introduced in the vicinity of the tip of the pointer and thus, even simpler means of uniformly illuminating the minute hand can be achieved than if the light had a large-volume pointer hub which a correspondingly large pointer eye is required, is deflected into the pointer flag.
- FIG. 2 ein Schnittbild eines weiteren Ausführungsbeispieles,

- FIG. 2 shows a sectional view of a further exemplary embodiment,
- FIG. 3 shows a plan view of the pointer arrangement according to FIG. 2nd
As shown in FIG. 1 can be seen,
The design and arrangement of the two
The smaller hand of a time display device is usually the hour hand. Thus, this - 16 - is hidden, for example, by covering the
For the sake of completeness, it should be pointed out that the solution found can only be realized with an hour hand disk 3 arranged for the viewer in front of the
The embodiment shown in FIG. 2 shows that the
