Description

The invention relates to a circular weaving machine with a machine frame, a rotor, which has a machined wavy groove on the outside and driver elements engaging in the groove, the driver elements being fastened to bands or cords which are deflected at least via upper deflection rollers and at a distance thread guides arranged from each other, the rotor drives a shooter via a driving roller and tensioning devices for the warp threads are also provided.

A circular loom of this type is known from US Pat. No. 1,720,151. The warp threads are guided to form a compartment by means of strands, two strands each being connected at their ends by means of a band. One of the belts is guided over an upper deflection roller and the opposite belt over a lower deflection roller. The strands cause the circular weaving machine to have an extremely high overall height, which means that it is difficult to access the contactor bobbins, which makes changing the bobbin difficult. The shooters of the known circular loom rest on a plate, which results in high friction between the shooters and the plate, so that the known circular loom is not suitable for higher weaving capacities.

From AT-PS 363 873 a circular weaving machine is known, in which strands carrying strands are also provided, which are guided over upper and lower deflection rollers, so that this known circular weaving machine also has a large overall height and, as a result, poor accessibility to the contactor bobbins . Another disadvantage of the known circular weaving machine is that, despite the large overall height, the compartment is only insufficiently opened by the strands to allow the shooter to pass through, so that the shooter has to open it even further while passing through a compartment. As a result, the warp threads can heat up as a result of the friction which occurs, which is disadvantageous in particular when weaving plastic threads and does not allow the production speed and thus the production output to rise above a certain level.

The invention aims to avoid these disadvantages and difficulties and has as its object to develop a circular loom of the type described in such a way that it enables high production output and in particular its overall height for the sake of good accessibility to the contactor bobbins is considerably lower than in known machines, although despite this low overall height, a sufficiently wide open compartment is formed so that a shooter can pass through the compartment without rubbing contact with the warp threads.

According to the invention, this object is achieved by combining the following features:
  • a) that an upper and lower race for guiding the shooter are arranged in the machine frame, the rollers of which are fitted between engagement surfaces of the upper and lower race,
  • b) that a reed for sorting the warp threads is provided between the races,
  • c) that the bands of the shaft are flexible over their entire length and directly carry the thread eyelets,
  • d) that the upper pulleys for the flexible belts are at the level of the upper race,
  • e) that the distance between the upper and lower race as well as the maximum distance between the thread eyelets on the deflected flexible band or the cord is dimensioned such that the wedge angle is sufficiently large to prevent the warp threads from coming into contact with the shooter.

By attaching the thread eyelets directly to the belts, the use of strands can be dispensed with, as a result of which the upper deflection roller can be arranged approximately at the height of the upper race. Despite the particularly wide opening of the compartment, the overall height of the machine according to the invention can be kept low, which ensures good access to the contactor coils. By arranging the thread loops directly on the belts, the mass of the machine parts moving the warp threads is significantly reduced, which is important for the fast running, smooth running and the noise level of the machine.

According to a preferred embodiment, the flexible band is only guided over an upper deflection roller and fastened to the stationary machine frame by means of a tension spring at an end opposite the driving element. According to another advantageous embodiment, the flexible belt is shaped into an endless loop and runs over two deflection rollers. A plurality of flexible bands or cords is expediently connected to a driver element. The races advantageously have an approximately semicircular arc-shaped profile and the shooters' rollers are provided with an approximately quarter-circular arc-shaped counter-profile corresponding to this profile, the counter-profile extending beyond the apex of the race-ring profile. The fit of the shooter between the upper and lower races means that the races can absorb the centrifugal and supporting forces of the shooter and the shooter is perfectly supported even at high weaving performance or high speed and that the noise level is kept within reasonable limits.

In order to keep the warp threads as tensioned as possible, even with high production output of the machine for the purpose of perfect shed formation, whereby a thread breakage and thread tension of a warp thread can be determined, the tensioning devices for the warp threads are designed as spiral springs which are fixed at one end to the machine frame and at the other, movable end, each carry an eyelet which receives the warp thread, the movable part being movable between thread breakage or thread tension indicating and controlling stops.

The invention is based on the drawing tion explained in more detail using several exemplary embodiments, wherein Fig. 1 illustrates a partially sectioned side view of a circular loom in a schematic representation. FIG. 2 shows a detail of FIG. 1 on an enlarged scale. FIG. 3 shows a further embodiment in a representation analogous to FIG. 2. Fig. 4 is a section along the line IV-IV of Fig. 2. In Figs. 5 and 6, a flexible band with thread guide members is shown, with Fig. 6 showing a side view in the direction of arrow VI of Fig. 5. FIGS. 7, 8 and 9, 10 and 11, 12 show further embodiments in representations analogous to FIGS. 5 and 6. 13 and 14 illustrate the guidance of a shooter, FIG. 14 being a side view in the direction of arrow XIV of FIG. 13. FIGS. 15 and 16 show a further embodiment of a thread guide element, FIG. 15 illustrating a side view and FIG. 16 a section along the line XVI-XVI of FIG. 15.

The circular loom has a rotor 2 which is rotatably mounted and drivable in a machine frame 1 and which is arranged below a fixed reed 3. The reed is delimited by an upper and lower race 4, 5, along which race at least one shooter 6 is guided by rollers 7.

To form a compartment 8 through the warp threads 9, a shaft is arranged in a circle arranged concentrically with the rotor 2, the shaft having a wavy groove 10 machined on the outside of the rotor 2 and engaging driver elements 11 designed as sliding blocks. In order to reduce the friction between the driver elements 11 and the rotor to a minimum, the driver elements 11 can have rotatable rollers 11 ′ which are inserted into the groove 10.

Each of the driver elements 11 carries a plurality of flexible bands 12 or cords, each of which is guided over an upper 13 and lower deflection roller 14 rotatably mounted on the machine frame 1. For the purpose of precise vertical guidance, each driver element 11 is guided along two parallel and vertically arranged guide rods 15 which pass through the driver element 11 and are rigidly fastened to the machine frame 1.

Thread guiding elements 16, for example eyelets, are arranged at a distance from one another on each band 12, the passages 17 of the eyelets 16 coming to lie on opposite side edges 18, 19 of each band 12 (cf. FIG. 5), so that the threads 9 between Adjacent belts, which are fastened at a distance 20 from one another on the driver element, can be threaded through. This effect is also achieved when cords are used, in conjunction with eyelets (FIGS. 15, 16) that are specially designed as two parts and can be clipped onto the cords, by inclining at least one deflection roller 13, 14. The distance between the eyelets is chosen so large that when the compartment 8 is opened to the maximum, as shown in FIG. 2, the upper thread 9 rests on the upper race 4 and the lower thread 9 on the lower race 5. This makes it possible to move the shooter 6 through the compartment 8 without the shooter coming into contact with the warp threads 9.

The shooter 6 has a support body 21 which carries the weft bobbin 22. The rollers 7 are guided on the upper and lower races 4, 5 of the reed 3 each having a semicircular arc profile. The counter-profile of the rollers is adapted to the semicircular arc profile of the races 4, 5 and is approximately quarter-circular in shape, extending beyond the apex of the race profile, so that the rollers 7 transmit both the centrifugal force and the supporting forces to the races and prevent the shooter 6 from tipping over at a standstill becomes.

The shooter 6 is driven by means of a driver roller 23 which is freely rotatably mounted on the rotor 2 and which bears against one of the rollers 7 of the shooter when the rotor rotates.

Kettfäden 9 und Mitnehmerrolle 23 auf ein Minimum reduziert ist.13 illustrates the movement of the shooter 6 through the compartment 8. It can be seen that the warp threads 9 are simply rolled over without any sliding movement, as a result of which the friction between warp threads 9 and shooters 6 or warp threads 9 and driving roller 23 is reduced to a minimum .

In this embodiment, a band 25 corresponding to the width 24 of a driver element 11 is fastened to the driver element, which has slots 26 in the area of the compartment in order to allow the warp threads 9 to pass through.

According to the embodiment shown in FIGS. 3, 9 and 10, the straps 12 attached to a driver element 11 are not endless, but each strap 12 ′ is attached to the end 27 opposite the driver element 11 by means of a spring 28 on the machine frame 1. When the driver element 11 moves up and down, the bands 12 'are held under tension by the springs 28.

The further embodiment illustrated in FIGS. 11 and 12 also shows a band 25 ′ which is wide in accordance with the width 24 of the driver element 11 and is provided with slots 26 in the region in which the eyelets 16 lie, through which the warp threads 9 can pass . The end 29 of the belt opposite the driver element is again formed in one piece and fastened to the machine frame 1 by means of a single spring 30. For better guidance of the non-endless belts 12 'and 25', support rollers 31 are rotatably mounted on the machine frame 1 at a height just below the lower race.

The bands 12, 12 ', 25, 25' can be designed as flat belts, round belts, toothed belts, cords, etc.

The warp threads 9 are tensioned to form an optimal compartment 8 by means of tensioning devices 32, which are designed as spiral springs. These spiral springs are fastened at one end to a ring 33 which is fixed to the machine frame, their other end carries an eyelet 34 through which the warp threads 9 are guided. If a warp thread 9 breaks, the spiral spring 32 exciting this thread 9 springs outwards until it rests against a fixed stop 35 designed as a ring concentric with the rotor 2. This triggers a contact that indicates the thread break. If the thread tension becomes too great, the spiral spring 32 springs inwards until it rests against a stop 36, which is provided between the spiral spring 32 and reed 3 and is also designed as a ring 2 concentric with the rotor, and also triggers a display.
