Abstract

1. Apparatus for attaching a reflection-reducing means (26), which can be stretched spherically in front of a picture tube (14), in particular a micromesh filter, to the surface of a screen (20) which is arranged in a front frame (18) of a housing (12) which accommodates the picture tube (14), where, between the front frame (18) and the screen (20), a diaphragm (24) is fixed which presses the means (26) against the screen (20), characterised in that the diaphragm (24) consists of elastically deformable material and has an approximately U-shaped cross-section, a first arm (28) having an angled part (32) and the second arm (30) being rectilinear ; and that by means of the second arm (30) the diaphragm (24) presses the means (26) against the screen (20), and by means of the angled part (32) of the first arm (28), it engages on to the inside of the front frame (18).
