Es sind viele Farbbandkassetten mit unterschiedlichen Farbbandarten bekannt, durch die ein Verschmutzen der Hände beim Einsetzen und Herausnehmen der Kassetten vermieden wird und die eine leichte Auswechselbarkeit ermöglichen. Auch ermöglicht diese bekannte Anordnung keine optimale Ausnutzung des Lagerraumes für die Vorrats- und die Aufwickelspule, da die Zahnwalze und der Schwenkhebel für die Aufwickelspule in dem Lagerraum mit angeordnet sind. Der Schwenkhebel für die Aufwickelspule besteht hierbei aus einem Sattelteil, der viel Raum beansprucht. Bei Einsatz dieser bekannten Farbbandkassette bei Schreibmaschinen mit einer Korrektureinrichtung ist ein großer Hub des Korrekturbandes erforderlich, um dieses Korrekturband in die Abdruckposition zu bringen. Die Böden 26, 28 der beiden Führungskanäle 23, 24 weisen gegenüber dem Boden 30 des Lagerraumes 5 einen Versatz 16, 18 derart auf, daß unterhalb der Führungskanäle 23, 24 in Fortsetzung des Bodens 30 des Lagerraumes 5 ja ein Freiraum 50, 52 für in der Aufnahmevorrichtung der Farbbandkassette 1 in der Maschine angeordnete Maschinenteile entsteht und daß das von der Vorratsspule 3 abwickelbare Farbband 11 in dichtem Abstand üper der inneren Bodenfläche 26 des Führungskanals 23 mit der Auslaßöffnung 69 geführt wird. Die Maschinenteile sind Einzelteile, z. B. die Vorrats- 56 und die Aufwickelspule 58 für ein Korrekturband 54 einer Korrektureinrichtung. Die Böden 26, 28 der beiden Führungskanäle 23, 24 weisen je eine nach außen weisende, teilzylindrische Einbuchtung 20, 22 für die Wickeloberflächen 60, 62 der Vorrats-56 und der Aufwickelspule 58 für das Korrekturband 54 auf. Claims (9)

1. A cassette as claimed in Claim 4, characterised in that the toothed drive roller (39) is in engagement with a variable gear which is disposed in the lower lying portion (32) of the storage compartment (5) and comprises interchangeable pairs of gearwheels (63, 65) which can be selected to produce a different step feed of the ribbon (11) depending on the nature of the ribbon and can be inserted in the storage compartment (5) with the delivery spool (3) and the winding spool (41) immediately before or during the insertion of these.

A cassette as claimed in Claim 5, characterised in that the variable gear consists of a pair of gearwheels (63, 65), the one gearwheel (63) being able to be coupled to the drive wheel (39) and the other gearwheel (65) being able to be coupled to the drive element (61) of the machine and being rigidly connected to a hand setting wheel (67).
