Description

The invention relates to a belt section for transporting and slowing down folding products between two successive stations of a folding apparatus, in particular between a folding cylinder and a longitudinal folding device or a delivery station, with at least two successive sections driven at mutually graded speeds, each consisting of an upper and a lower one Belt set with several parallel belts each and at least one in front in the direction of transport and a belt roller at the rear in the transport direction, of which at least one of the belt rollers at the front in the transport direction of the section running at the rear and running faster in the transport direction is adjustable in height.

An arrangement of this type is known from DE-OS 27 50 792. In this known arrangement, however, the two sections which are driven at mutually graded speeds are arranged at a distance from one another. Therebetween so-called guide tongues are provided which run proper leadership g and are intended to accomplish handover. This Leitzun g s consist of schmierarmem plastic and are therefore relatively expensive components are. Not to mention, however, the edges are subject to this guide tongues during operation a rapid wear, which not only results in an unwanted stress on passing products, but over time also to Formation of gaps leads, which can be the cause of disturbances. There is clearly a danger here that the products passed by such gaps get caught on them and can be compressed. The result of this is a product jam and, along with the high amount of waste, machine downtimes that are not inconsiderable. This can be countered by the fact that the mentioned guide tongues are exchanged frequently. The hereby onerous both in terms of providing these g of schmierarmem plastic and thus a valuable material existing Leitzun s, and in terms of ongoing wear monitoring and the installation and However, disassembly is very large and has a negative impact on the economy of the overall arrangement.

Proceeding from this, it is therefore the object of the present invention, while avoiding the disadvantages of the known arrangements, to create a belt section of the type mentioned at the outset which does not need guide tongues and which nevertheless ensures that the products are guided and handled gently.

This object is achieved according to the invention in a surprisingly simple manner in that the successive sections of the belt section have belts which are offset from one another at least by their width and are pushed into one another with the end regions facing one another in a prong-like manner.

These measures result in an overlapped transition area between the sections running at mutually graded speeds, which thus merge seamlessly into one another. Guide tongues and the associated effort in terms of provision, monitoring and maintenance can therefore advantageously be omitted. As a result of the mutual overlap of the two sections, which are driven at mutually graded speeds, the products to be transported are advantageously braked gently while maintaining their positive guidance and decelerated to the lower speed of the respective front section in the transport direction, which results in a clean and exact transfer with gentle product handling ge ensures. The products thus brought to a lower speed advantageously maintain their alignment, so that a subsequent alignment can generally either be dispensed with altogether, or such an alignment only has to be carried out to an extremely small extent. Nevertheless, the measures according to the invention prove to be extremely simple in terms of their design and manufacturing complexity. The advantages that can be achieved with the invention can therefore be seen in particular in their economy.

In an advantageous development of the higher-level measures, the sections driven at mutually graded speeds can be pushed into one another in a prong-like manner such that the distance between the overlapping belt rollers on both sides of the belt section differs, preferably in the area of the upper belt set than in the area of the lower belt set . These measures result in a mutual displacement of the belt rollers in an advantageous manner, so that the elasticity of the tape guide according to the invention in spite of their Überschneidun g portions over their entire length is maintained. The front belt roll of the rear section provided on the side of the larger belt roll spacing can expediently be adjustable in height. This measure advantageously results in a relatively long wedge between each of the adjacent band rollers, which have the greater distance, and thus enables the delay and transfer of the products to be adjusted very gently. The smaller band roller spacing can expediently et wa correspond to the maximum product length to be processed.

The rear band roller of the front section, which is adjacent to the height-adjustable front band roller of the rear section, can also be height-adjustable, preferably pivotally mounted about the same axis. This measure enables the delays to be fine-tuned even further and the transfer to be carried out smoothly.

In cases where, despite the clean and exact transfer of the products to be transported, a starting stop is provided, for example to achieve a highly precise timing of these products, this can advantageously be carried out from a shaft which is arranged outside the transfer area between two sections of the belt section and passes through the machine width laterally offset against each other, there are cams passing between two bands. The use of a shaft advantageously allows a high degree of structural freedom, since in this case the rollers holding the strips can pass through between two cams to form a kink. Suitably, these cams can in each case arranged as a radially projecting fingers of on the through shaft, opposite the bands with a gap set discs g e-forms to be. Another useful measure can be that the peripheral speed of the cams is slightly reduced compared to the transport speed of the associated front section, which results in a secure stop.

Further advantageous refinements and expedient further developments of the superordinate measures result from the following description of an exemplary embodiment with reference to the drawing in conjunction with the remaining subclaims.

The drawing contains a schematic representation of a tape guide according to the invention with two sections pushed into one another.

The belt section shown in the drawing, consisting of sections 1 and 2, can be arranged downstream of a folding jaw cylinder of a folding apparatus (not shown in more detail) and lead to a bucket wheel of a delivery station (also not shown in more detail) or under a folding sword to produce a third fold. The direction of transport is indicated by the arrow T. The basic structure and the mode of operation of a folder or the elements of a folder outlined above are known per se and therefore require no further explanation. The transport speed of the rear section 1 in the transport direction corresponds to the working speed of the upstream organ, here the peripheral speed of the upstream folding jaw cylinder. The speed of the further section 2 of the illustrated belt section should be graduated compared to this speed of section 1, which results in a 50% delay in the products to be transported. The organ acted upon by the illustrated belt section, here the paddle wheel of the Ausle g estation or the sword folding unit can therefore advantageously with respect to the working speed of the Falzklappenzylin run at half the speed, which is very desirable. The product stream length is shortened in accordance with the ratio of the speed gradation between sections 1 and 2. There must therefore be sufficient gaps between the individual, undelayed products. In so-called collective production, in which every second product is missing, a 50% reduction and therefore a 50% product delay is possible, even if only one belt section is available. In the event of an even greater delay and / or in the case of simple production, two or more belt sections, which are acted upon alternatively, must be provided in order to generate corresponding gaps between two successive products in each case. Based on simple production without gaps between two successive products, the number of belt sections required results from the fact that this corresponds to the reciprocal work of the ratio of the speed between the first and the last section of a belt section.

Sections 1 and 2 of the belt section each consist of an upper and a lower belt set, which in turn consist of a plurality of parallel endless belts 3, which are arranged next to one another at a distance. The distance between two adjacent bands should at least correspond to the bandwidth. The belts 3 of the upper and the respectively associated lower belt set are placed against one another in such a way that the products that come between them are transported in the direction of the arrow R. The course of the belts 3 is defined by belt rolls, of which the present one Context in particular the belt rollers at the front, designated 4 in the transport direction of the rear section 1 in the transport direction and the belt rollers at the rear, designated 5 in the transport direction, of the front section 2 in the transport direction are important. The sections 1 and 2 are not consecutively pushed into each other here in the joint area at a distance of g eord- net, but zinc like. The bands 3 of the front section 2 engage in the gaps formed by the band gap between the bands 3 of the rear section 1 and vice versa. The belts 3 of the sections 1 and 2 are accordingly set to the gap, that at least laterally ge to the respective bandwidth g eneinan- the offset, resulting in said galvanizing. The sections 1 and 2 are expediently pushed into each other so far that the rear belt rollers 5 of the front section 2 are surrounded by the loop formed by the belts 3 running around the front belt rollers 4 of the rear section 1 and vice versa. This advantageously enables the use of continuous rolls. The above measures advantageously result in a practically seamless transition from sections 1 and 2, which no longer has any protruding edges, which not only has a gentle effect on the products to be transported, but also proves to be extremely easy to maintain.

The mutually assigned upper and lower belt rollers 4 and 5 are expediently not arranged opposite one another, but offset from one another in the transport direction, which results in a high elasticity of the belt section, so that in an advantageous manner products of different strengths can also be transported without any significant adjustment work. In the illustrated embodiment, the respectively adjacent upper and lower belt rolls 4, 5 are offset from one another in such a way that there is a greater roll spacing in the area of the upper belt sets of the belt section than in the area of the lower belt sets of the belt section. The distance between the two lower belt rolls 4, 5 suitably corresponds approximately to the maximum product length that can be processed on the upstream folding jaw cylinder, which results in a reliable intervention. In order to accomplish a simple controllability of simultaneously effective in the b by the Ü erschnei- extension region formed handover region Beschleunigun g s- and braking forces is provided on the side of the larger strip rolling distance, here the front in the conveying direction, upper belt roller 4 of the rear in the direction of transport section 1 , adjustable in height. In the exemplary embodiment shown, this is accomplished by means of a swivel arm 7 which receives the band roller 4 and is pivotably mounted about the axis 6. All other belt rollers can be mounted practically unadjustable. Due to the height adjustability of the front upper belt roll 4, an outlet wedge can be set in the region of the rear section 1 of the belt section in the transport direction, the tip of which practically forms the rear belt roll 5 of the front section 2 adjacent to the height-adjustable roll 4. With the help of this adjustable outlet wedge, the products to be transported can be transferred smoothly from one section to the next section running at a lower speed. To further refine this In the exemplary embodiment shown, the rear upper belt roll 5 of the front section 2 in the transport direction is also adjustable in height, which is also accomplished here by means of a swivel arm 7 which can be pivoted about the axis 6. The axis 6 is located in the middle between the two rollers 4 and 5, so that approximately equal arms 7 result. To compensate for the belt tension, swivel-mounted belt rollers can also be provided, as indicated at 8.

In the exemplary embodiment shown, the transfer area formed by the mutual overlap of sections 1 and 2 is followed by a start stop designated as a whole by 9, the stop edge 10 of which intersects the transport path of the belts 3 of the front section 2 in the transport direction . The start stop 9 consists of a continuous shaft 11, on which are placed disks 12 spaced between the gaps between the bands 3 of section 2, which in turn form one or more fingers protruding in the radial direction to form a start edge 10, which fingers extend between the Reach bands 3 through. These fingers of adjacent disks 12 are aligned so that the desired stop results. At the same time, the products approaching the leading edge 10 experience an alignment, if this is necessary. The peripheral speed of the leading edge 10 is slightly reduced, for example by 1-2%, compared to the transport speed of the section 2, which is a reliable stop for the pro products results. The speed of the start stop 9 can expediently be adjustable, which enables an individual adaptation to the circumstances of the individual case. The use of disks 12 placed on a continuous shaft 11 advantageously allows a very compact design. In this case, other elements can advantageously be arranged between the disks 12, as is indicated in the exemplary embodiment shown with the aid of the tape rolls 13, by means of which the tapes 3 of the section 2 which is at the front in the transport direction are deflected such that in the region of the overlap of the sections 1 and 2 approximately the same belt directions, ie covering transport levels, which is important for a smooth, seamless transfer of the products. The tape rolls 13 can expediently be mounted individually on tabs which engage between the disks 12 and are not shown in detail here, preferably pivotably mounted and are adjustable in their pivoting position.

The belt section described above comprises only two sections, the speeds of which are graded by 50% against one another. However, it would also be conceivable to arrange a plurality of such belt sections with corresponding overlaps one after the other, with an even greater speed reduction overall being possible with a smaller individual gradation of the speed.
