Description

The invention relates to shoes with an outsole molded by injection molding or the like, the shaft of which is connected by means of a seam to an insole covering the outsole and has an outwardly facing lower edge which is trimmed after the outsole has been molded on. It also relates to a method for producing such shoes, the upper being sewn together from appropriate blanks, the insole then being sewn onto the upper, and finally the outsole being molded on after the shoe upper thus produced has been produced.

There are different types of shoes with molded soles. In the case of the types of shoes in which the lower edge of the upper is turned inwards in the usual way, there is the difficulty that the upper must be sharpened and roughened before the sole is formed, because otherwise the sole cannot be properly adhered to the upper. These operations, which have to be carried out by hand, always lead to irregularities. Furthermore, there is the risk that when the roughened area is brushed on, if it is not worked very carefully, adhesive will reach the upper in areas which are not later covered by the molded-on sole. If this is still possible, this adhesive must then be removed in an additional operation. Another problem with the manufacture of such shoes is how to achieve perfect performance. If the upper part of the shoe is not properly neat, you will get inferior shoes.

It is also already known to manufacture flexible shoes with a molded-on sole (DE-OS 2 830 605). In these shoes, a relatively rigid midsole serving as an insole is connected to the upper in the region of the lower edge pointing outwards. The outsole is then molded onto this midsole. Such an approach also has a number of shortcomings. On the one hand, there is also the problem here, in particular because of the high rigidity of the midsole, of providing the shoe with a clean fit for spraying. Another disadvantage is that the midsole must be trimmed at the same time as the sole of the upper is formed. Because of the high material thicknesses here, correspondingly heavy machines have to be used for trimming. Grinding is also often required. When trimming with heavy machines, there is also the risk that the engraving, which may be provided on the outside of the outsole and is produced by appropriate shaping, is damaged, which likewise impairs the quality of the shoes produced. Finally, in the known shoes with a midsole, a major disadvantage is that the molded outsole only adheres to the midsole, i.e. H. the sole is actually only attached to the upper via the seam between the upper and the midsole. This seam, however, can only withstand stronger loads to a limited extent.

The invention is based on the object of proposing a design for shoes with a molded outsole that does not have the aforementioned deficiencies of the prior art, i. H. In particular, a clean fitting ensures that the outsole adheres reliably to the upper and enables the shoe to be finished in a simple manner after the outsole has been molded on.

To achieve this object it is proposed according to the invention to design a shoe of the type mentioned at the outset in such a way that the size of the insole corresponds to the last edge that determines the transition between the upper and the sole of the shoe, with its peripheral edge at the transition point from the upper to the lower, facing outward Edge is attached, and that the outsole is molded directly to the underside of the lower edge of the shaft, d. H. molded or molded.

In contrast to the known shoes of the flexible design, the insole in the shoe according to the invention only extends as far as the transition between the shaft and the edge strip projecting outwards. This has the great advantage that the cast-on sole is connected directly to the upper leather, and in addition the casting is generally carried out on the outside, where no alignment or sharpening of the upper is required. Nevertheless, you get excellent adhesion of the sole to the protruding edge of the shaft, especially when using a suitable adhesion promoter. After the sole has been cast on, only the upper leather then has to be trimmed in the shoe according to the invention, which can be done in a simple manner and with comparatively light tools. In particular, no grinding or the like is necessary, so that there is also no risk of damaging the sole. In addition, the fact that the insole only extends to the transition point between the upper and the shaft has the advantage that the dimensions of the insole correspond exactly to the underside of the last. In this way, the shoe can be put on very precisely for injection molding the outsole, since the operator on the machine has the possibility of orienting himself exactly at the edge which delimits the sole surface and is usually present on the underside of the last. It is only necessary to cover the outer edge of the insole with this edge on the last. This is particularly facilitated if the insole is made of easily bendable, only slightly stretchable material, as this will result in the lei being incorrectly folded up would draw the most accurate edge. The use of the very flexible insole also has the advantage that you get a very good and easily bendable shoe bottom, which was not always the case with the previously known shoes in flexible design, especially because of the usually comparatively large Thickness of the midsole, but also because of the frequently used gluing between the outsole and midsole.

The shoes according to the invention therefore differ from the shoes known hitherto on the one hand by considerably better and more precise workmanship, on the other hand by their particularly good flexibility, and there is also the possibility of saving a relatively large amount of material for the midsole, because an insole is normally also added anyway is used.

The insole can be made from different materials. Particularly good wearing properties are obtained if the insole is made of leather and has a non-elastic or slightly non-stretchable overlay on the underside, preferably made of textile material, which is expediently connected flat to the insole.

It is further provided according to the invention that at the lower edge of the upper there is a decorative seam running at the same distance from the outer edge of the lower edge and penetrating only the upper, along which a special seam runs to fix the insole to the upper. Such a decorative seam is easy to apply, gives an appealing look to the shoe and at the same time can be used in a simple manner as a marker for sewing in the insole. With an appropriate arrangement of the decorative seam, it is covered on the underside by the cast-on outsole, so that there is no risk of water penetration in the region of the seam.

The comfort of shoes according to the invention can be improved in that - in a known manner - in the injected outsole directly below the insole, an insert, for. B. made of felt, fleece or the like. This insert can, however, come into its own particularly well in the shoe according to the invention, since a good bendable insole is usually provided.

In particular when using an easily bendable insole, the molded outsole can be provided on the upper side with bulges or depressions which form a footbed and which are produced in a simple manner when the outsole is cast on. For this it is only necessary to provide corresponding recesses or protrusions on the underside of the last used during the casting.

Oberteil sitzt. The shoe according to the invention can be produced in various ways, the upper always being sewn together from appropriate blanks, the insole then sewn onto the upper and finally the outsole being molded on after the shoe upper thus produced has been produced. According to the invention, a special manufacturing method is now proposed, which is characterized in that before the insole is fastened, the - sewn together - shaft with a transition point to the outwardly pointing lower edge, always running at the same distance from the edge of the lower edge Provide a decorative seam or marking and then the insole is sewn with its peripheral edge along this decorative seam or marking on the upper, and that when the upper of the shoe is subsequently attached, this is aligned with the last so that the peripheral edge of the insole runs along a sole-side edge of the last . Such a procedure has the advantage, on the one hand, that the decorative seam or marking can be produced without difficulty precisely, namely depending on the edge of the lower edge, because the edge of the lower edge is predetermined by the die cut with corresponding accuracy. The insole can then be stitched in very precisely along the resulting decorative seam or marking. The quilted insole, in turn, in conjunction with the edge on the underside of the last, provides reliable help for a clean listing of the shoe upper for spraying, so that the molded-on sole sits almost exactly on the upper or shaft of all shoes.

Further features, details and advantages of the invention will become apparent from the following description of a preferred embodiment of a shoe according to the invention with reference to the drawing. It shows
  • Fig. 1 shows a cross section in the area of the sheet through a shoe according to the invention and the shape used for its manufacture, and
  • Fig. 2 shows a cross section corresponding to Fig. 1 through the completed and trimmed shoe.

The shoe according to the invention comprises, as can be seen from Fig. 2, a conventional shaft 1, which is closed on the underside by a sewn insole 2, an insert 3, z. B. from felt, fleece or the like, and a molded outsole 4th

In the manner known from flexible shoes, the upper 1 is provided with an outwardly facing lower edge 5 which, in the exemplary embodiment shown, has two decorative seams 6 which only penetrate the lower edge 5. The seams may be relatively coarse.

The insole 2 is only so large in the shoe according to the invention that its peripheral edge 7 comes as close as possible to the transition point 8 between the actual upper 1 and the lower edge 5. It is sewn along its peripheral edge 7 by means of a seam 9 in the transition region 8 between the shaft 1 and the lower edge 5, the seam 9 (as Fig. Can be seen) in the area of the outside of the shoe covers the inside of the decorative seams 6 as precisely as possible.

The insole 2 consists of a material that is as soft as possible but not stretchable, for example it is produced in two layers from an upper leather layer and a lower layer made of non-stretchable material, for example textile material, whereby the lower layer can be connected to the upper leather layer.

From the drawing it can further be seen that the cast-on outsole 4 is provided with a footbed on the upper side. Only one protrusion 10 serving as a pad is shown in the drawing.

It should also be pointed out that the edge 5 of the upper 1 in the shoe according to the invention comes in direct contact with the material of the molded or molded outsole 4 in the region of its underside 11. The result of this is that the outsole 4 in the area of the underside 11 of the edge 5 can be connected securely to the edge 5 and thus to the shaft 1 without difficulty. On the one hand, the underside 11 of the edge 5 is usually roughened from the house, since it is usually the Aass side. On the other hand, without the risk of contamination of the upper above the area serving for forming the sole, the underside 11 of the edge 5 can optionally be sharpened or provided with an adhesive agent application.

From the above explanations it follows that the shoe according to the invention has no midsole. This significantly increases its flexibility compared to the known flexible shoes with molded outsoles and also improves the adhesion between the shaft and the outsole, which in the known shoes was only achieved via the seam between the midsole and the shaft.

The following steps are used to manufacture the shoe according to the invention:
  • First, the upper 1 is finished by sewing its individual stamped parts together, the edge 5, as shown in FIG. 1, being kept wider than would be necessary with regard to the finished shoe (FIG. 2). Then at least one decorative seam 6 - possibly also only one marking - is then applied to the shaft 1 parallel to the outer edge 12 of the edge 5; a decorative seam can e.g. B. can be easily quilted by means of a foot with a stop. A suitably punched or cut insole 2 is then sewn along the circumferential edge 7 into the now sewn, modeled upper, in such a way that the seam 9 runs exactly along one of the decorative seams 6, which in this case serves as a marking, or along a special marker is placed. The upper upper part thus produced, consisting of upper 1 and insole 2, is then pulled onto the last 13 (FIG. 1), which has recesses 14 or projections on its underside which correspond to the desired footbed. When pulling on the upper part 1, 2 on the last 13, care must be taken that the peripheral edge 7 of the insole 2 runs exactly parallel to the lower edge 15, which is usually present on a last, as can be clearly seen in FIG. 1 is. The shoe upper now listed is then inserted into a corresponding shape which, according to FIG. 1, consists of two laterally movable side parts 16, 17, a vertically movable bottom part 18 and two side brackets 19 and 20. The movement of the molded parts is such that the base part 18 moves upwards into the position according to FIG. 1 after the last 13 has been inserted. At the same time, the side parts 16, 17 move inwards, the edge 5 resting on the upper side on the side parts 16, 17 in its section projecting over the outsole 4. Finally, the side holders 19, 20 then move into the position shown in FIG. 1, wherein only a downward movement or else a combined downward and inward movement can take place. Movement inwards and downwards is preferable, since in this case the listed top 1, 2 can be inserted more easily. After the mold has been closed, the outsole material, for example a polyurethane or PVC foam material, is then injected or poured into the mold cavity 21 via a line (not shown), where it is cured or, if necessary, allowed to foam. Before inserting the last 13 with the shoe upper consisting of the upper 1 and the insole 2, the insert 3 can also be placed on the underside of the insole and fixed in any way, for example by means of an adhesive connection, which is only punctiform. As soon as the outsole 4 is correspondingly hard, the mold is opened. It is then only necessary to cut off the portions of the edge 5 projecting beyond the outer edge 22 of the sole 4, for example by means of a knife, in order to complete the shoe.

Kleber behandelt. When the material forming the outsole 4 is poured into the mold cavity 21, the latter presses the insert 3 and thus the insole 2 against the underside 23 of the last 13, so that a possibly mirror image of a footbed is shown perfectly on the top of the outsole 4. To improve the adhesion of the outsole 4 at the edge 5, its underside is treated with an adhesion promoter or adhesive before the mold is closed.

It should finally be pointed out that the outsole 4 can of course be designed as desired, for which it is only necessary to shape the walls of the mold cavity 21 accordingly. In particular, the outer edge 22 of the sole can be profiled without the risk of damage, because after demolding only the relatively thin and soft, protruding strip of the edge 5 of the shaft 1 is removed must be cut. Furthermore, the form shown is of course shown purely schematically. The exact design of the shape will depend on the respective shift and sole design.
