Description

The invention relates to a cover for grid ceilings for closing the front ends of cross-sectionally U-shaped ceiling lamellae, which has at least two plug units on the inside of the cover, one of which is arranged close to a cover end and the other close to an opposite cover end, and of which each plug unit has at least two spaced-apart plug parts, which have outer plug surfaces facing away from each other for contacting the inner surfaces of the legs of U-shaped ceiling slats.

In a known cover of this type according to DE-A 2 331 413, the connector units consist of box-shaped connector pins. The side walls of the ceiling slats are held together by crossbars, so that the side walls cannot be pressed apart by the box-shaped plug units. Nevertheless, the plug units must protrude relatively deep into the ceiling slats, so that there is a static friction between the plug units and the slat side walls that is so strong that slipping out of the cover is avoided. Furthermore, it is known from FR-A 2 204 238 and GB-A 1 148 411 to form the connector parts of connecting elements for connecting tubular bodies in a fork-shaped manner, so that the connector parts are resiliently resilient to one another. The connector parts are provided on their outer connector surfaces facing away from one another with a transverse edge, by means of which the connector surfaces can hold on to uneven surfaces of the bodies to be connected better. Such connector parts have not yet been used in covers for U-shaped ceiling slats.

The ends of lamellas on grid ceilings are often visible and require an aesthetically clean finish. Furthermore, there is often only little space between the ends of the slats and adjacent ceiling parts and building parts. If there is a small space between them, no covers can be used that have long plug units in accordance with the prior art. Furthermore, quick assembly and disassembly is important for access to installation devices or lamps in the ceilings. A major disadvantage of the known covers and known plug units is that they press the legs of ceiling slats U-shaped in cross section apart and still do not adhere sufficiently strongly in the ceiling slat.

The invention is intended to solve the problem of closing the free ends of cross-sectionally U-shaped ceiling slats easily and quickly and safely, but releasably if necessary, with the lid serving to lock being intended to provide rigidity and support, and the cover should be quick and easy to assemble and disassemble even if there is little space between the ceiling slat and adjacent parts of the building.

This object is achieved according to the invention in that the connector parts are hook-like or claw-like and their hook ends or claw ends form the connector surfaces which cling to the inner surfaces of the lamella legs.

The cover can be produced in a simple and inexpensive manner and can be quickly attached to and removed from the front end of a U-shaped ceiling lamella, even in the smallest space, and the lid holds firmly, but releasably on the ceiling lamella. The cover can be adapted in shape and size to the ceiling slats without affecting the connector units and can be provided with stiffening ribs to increase strength. The outside of the lid always remains smooth and clean.

Further features of the invention emerge from the subclaims.

An embodiment of the invention will be described with reference to the drawings as an example. Show in these
  • Figure 1 shows schematically a grid ceiling from below;
  • FIG. 1 shows a perspective view of a ceiling lamella with a front cover according to the invention,
  • 3 shows a section along the plane III-III in the direction of the arrows of FIG. 2,

Fig. zeigt eine Rasterdecke von unten. Fig. Shows a grid ceiling from below. It contains longitudinal lamellae 1, transverse lamellae 2 and edge-transverse lamellae 3. The latter are closed at their visible, front ends with lids 4. In the case of a grid ceiling without the edge slats 3, all front ends of the longitudinal slats 1 would have to be closed with covers 4, provided these ends are clearly visible.

Sie haben einen unteren Steg 5 und zueinander parallele Schenkel 6 und 7.2 and 3 it can be seen that the edge slats 3, like the longitudinal slats 1 and the transverse slats 2, are U-shaped in cross section. They have a lower web 5 and parallel legs 6 and 7.

The upper, free ends of the legs 6 and 7 are provided with leg extensions 8 and 9. These each consist of a horizontal section 10 or. 11 and a section 12 and 13 projecting obliquely into the interior of the lamella, essentially in the direction of the web 5. The end sections 12 and 13 are V-shaped in cross-section to one another. Due to the oblique course of the end sections 12 and 13, manufacturing and assembly inaccuracies can be compensated for, which are in these slats and in the case of the further components to be fastened to it, which adjoin the end sections 12 and 13, can result in the ceiling.

Such a component is the cover 4. Without being visible from the outside, a plate 21 serving for stiffening and a plug device with two plug units 22 and 23 are welded to the inside of its cover plate 41. All parts are made of sheet metal. The plug units 22 and 23 are each made in one piece and each the same. They each have a web part 40 and two hook-like or claw-like connector parts 24 and 25 with laterally outwardly projecting hooks 26 and 27. The ends of these hooks 26 and 27 form connector surfaces 28 and 29, which cling to the inner surface of the lamella legs 6 and 7. Through recesses 30 and 31, the hooks 26 and 27 of the connector units 22 and 23 made of spring plate are resilient in the hook plane. The connector parts 24 and 25 are provided opposite to their hooks 26 and 27 with inner connector surfaces 32 and 33. From the plug unit 22 shown in FIG. 3 above, the inner plug surfaces 32 and 33 press against the inner surface of the leg end sections 12 and 13. As a result, the plug parts 24 and 25 of the upper plug unit 22 are each between the inner surface of the lamellar legs 6 and 7 and the leg end sections 12 and 13 clamped and these connector parts 24 and 25 not only hold the lid 4 on the slat 3, but they also hold the free ends of the legs 6 and 7 with the approaches 8 and 9 on the required mutual distance. In the lower plug unit 23, the lamella legs 6 and 7 are kept at the required distance by the lamella web 4 and the plug parts 24 and 25 only press with their hooks 26 and 27 against the lamella legs 6 and 7.

The corners 35 of the lamella are rounded and the connector parts 24 and 25 of the connector units 22 and 23 are clamped into these curves, so that the lamella legs 6 and 7 are held in a stretched state by the tension of the cover 4. These curves 35 as well as the oblique course of the leg end sections 12 and 13 contribute to the fact that the plug units 22 and 23 do not have to be manufactured with great accuracy and attached to the cover 4. In a modification of this, the end sections 12 and 13 of the lamella legs 6 and 7 can also run parallel to one another and parallel to the legs.
