Definitions
- the invention relates to a time switch according to the preamble of claim 1.
- time switches contain, as an essential component, a switching ring driven by a clockwork, which, for example, makes one revolution in 24 hours, switching tabs being able to be plugged onto this switching ring, which run past a switching star and thereby turn it into the next rest position.
- the switching star is mechanically coupled to the electrical contact set of the time switch in such a way that the contact set is either opened or closed when the switching star continues to rotate by a latching position.
- a disadvantage of these known time switches proves that it is not possible due to the switching tabs rotating with the switching ring to immediately see the inserted switching program by simply looking at the time switch. Rather, the revolving scale attached to the switching ring must be read in order to assess the position of the switching riders.
- the invention has for its object to develop a timer of the type mentioned, in which the program inserted by the Heidelbergreiter is easily surveyed without the need for a scale reading.
- the switch tabs are plugged onto a fixed circle, the time scale of this fixed circle being able to be arranged similarly to a clock, the inserted time program can essentially be seen at a glance.
- a switch tab that is supposed to make a switch at 6 a.m., for example, is always in the same spatial position in relation to the timer housing.
- FIG. 1a and 1b show those parts of a time switch which are influenced by the present invention.
- This is the front part of the time switch on which the programming device and the switching ring are located.
- Fig. 1a shows this part in a section parallel to the axis of the switching ring, while
- Fig. 1b shows the top view from above (in the sense of Fig. 1a).
- the upper housing part is designated, which is provided with a circular rib ring 3, which has receiving devices for inserting the switching rider 5.
- the switching ring 7 driven by the clockwork, not shown, is disc-shaped in this embodiment. The drive takes place via a central shaft 8.
- toothed ring 9 which is arranged concentrically to the switching ring axis a and rotatable around it and which has two rotating ring gears, a normal involute ring gear 14 and a saw ring gear 13.
- a time switch known per se in time switches when it is rotated through a certain angle the electrical contact set (not shown) of the time switch is opened or closed.
- a resilient locking lever which is arranged in a known manner and is not shown, the switching star jumps into certain locking positions when turning further, whereby on the one hand an abrupt opening and closing of the contact set is achieved and on the other hand the switching star is held in fixed positions.
- a pinion 12 is arranged on the switching star shaft and engages with the ring gear 14 of the toothed ring 9.
- a feeler lever 15 is about an axis b, z. B. a pin rotatably arranged.
- the feeler lever 15 is spatially arranged and designed such that its head 21 strikes against the cam 6 of the shift rider when it passes a shift rider 5 plugged into the rib ring 3, which swings the shift lever so far against the direction of the spring force that the one on the feeler lever Driver 20 engages in the ring gear 13 of the toothed ring 9.
- the toothed ring 9 is carried by the switching ring 7.
- the switching star 10 which is in engagement with the toothed ring is rotated by such an angle that it jumps into its next latching position, as a result of which the contact set of the time switch is actuated.
- FIGS. 2a and 2b differs from that according to FIGS. 1a and 1b in that the time switch is equipped with a socket cup 26, which is concentric within the switching ring 7 and the toothed ring 9 is arranged.
- the switching ring 7 is driven by an eccentric pinion, not shown, which engages in the toothing 28 of the switching ring.
- This embodiment also shows another possible embodiment of the peeler 5, which in this case is provided with a pin 29 which is inserted into a hole in the upper housing part and at the same time cooperates with the head 21 of the feeler lever 15.
- Fig. 3 shows another embodiment of the invention, which is characterized by a very space-saving design.
- the embodiment largely corresponds to that of FIGS. 2a and 2b.
- the use of switch tabs with pins 29, which is also provided here, results in a very space-saving design by designing the socket cup 26 and the upper housing part 1 as an integral component.
- the toothed ring 9 lies radially within the switching ring 7.
- the feeler lever 15 is arranged on the top (in the sense of FIG. 3) of the switching ring 7. 28 again designates the drive toothing of the switching ring and 13 the toothed ring of the toothed ring 9 which is in engagement with the switching star.
- FIGS. 4a and 4b show an embodiment which makes it possible to work with a two-layer switching system even in the case of a time switch according to the invention.
- the switching star 10 is designed as a single layer as in the previous figures and is in engagement with the toothed ring 9 via a pinion 12.
- the switching ring 7 is driven via a central shaft 8, as in the exemplary embodiment according to FIGS. 1a and 1b.
- the stop 19 in FIGS. 1b and 2b is replaced in this embodiment by a two-layer auxiliary switching star 30 which is rotatably arranged on the switching ring 7.
- the four switching arms of this switching star lie alternately on one of two levels.
- the arms 31a and 31c of the auxiliary switching star lie in a higher one in the sense of the drawing plane of FIG. 4b Plane than the two switching star arms 31b and 31d.
- the switching rider 5 is either provided with a cam 6a and 6b, which lie in corresponding different planes.
- the feeler lever 15 also used in this embodiment corresponds largely in structure and function to the feeler lever 15 of the above-described embodiments. However, it does not immediately sense the rider cam, but rests on the arms of the auxiliary star switch 30. Its width in the direction of the switching ring axis is so large that it bears against the arms 31 of both levels of the auxiliary switching star 30.
- auxiliary switching star 30 reaches a switching tab by the rotation of the switching ring 7 in the direction of arrow c, the cam of which lies in the same plane as the outermost switching star arm (see FIG. 4b switching tab 5a and switching star arm 31a), then the Auxiliary switching star rotated counterclockwise by the switching rider cam, the locking lever being pressed radially inwards and engaging with its driver 20 in the ring gear 13 of the toothed ring 9. As a result, the toothed ring rotates the switching star 10 into the next latching position, the contact set of the time switch being actuated. If the switching tab 5a had a cam 6b in the lower level in FIG. 4b, the cam 6b and the switching star arm 31a would run past one another without mutual contact.
- FIGS. 5a and 5b show an embodiment corresponding to FIGS. 4a and 4b, in which the feeler lever 35 and the toothed ring 9 are arranged radially outside the auxiliary star wheel 30.
- This embodiment is particularly space-saving and therefore suitable for a time switch that is equipped with a central socket cup 26.
- FIG. 6a and 6b Another embodiment of a timer according to the invention is shown in Figures 6a and 6b.
- the peculiarity of this embodiment is that in addition to the feeler lever 15, a toothed section wheel 40 is rotatably arranged on the switching ring 7 and is fixedly connected to an auxiliary switching star 44.
- the toothed ring 9 in this embodiment has only a single ring gear 13a.
- the toothed section wheel 40 is provided on its circumference in a uniform distribution with toothed sections 41, which come into engagement with the ring gear 13a of the toothed ring 9 with a corresponding angular position of the toothed section wheel.
- the ring gear 13a is constantly in engagement with the pinion 12.
- auxiliary switching star 44 is designed as a two-layer switching star. This means that its arms 45 lie alternately in one of the two planes shown in FIG. 5a.
- shift tabs are used which have either an upper cam 6a or a lower cam 6b.
- this embodiment can also work with a single-layer switching star and with uniform switching tabs for switching the contact set on and off.
- the switching star 44 comes into the area of a switching rider, then the switching star is rotated by cams of the switching rider by a certain angle, the toothed section wheel 40 with one of its toothed sections 41 coming into engagement with the toothed ring 9 and so on turns far that the switching star 10 is rotated further into its next latching position.
- the number of tooth sections 41 corresponds to the number of arms 45 of auxiliary switching star 44. In the exemplary embodiment, eight tooth sections 41 and auxiliary switching star arms 45 are present. The fact that between If there is an engagement-free area in two tooth sections 41, the switching star 10 can jump forward during the second half of its turning step.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a time switch according to the preamble of
Known time switches contain, as an essential component, a switching ring driven by a clockwork, which, for example, makes one revolution in 24 hours, switching tabs being able to be plugged onto this switching ring, which run past a switching star and thereby turn it into the next rest position. The switching star is mechanically coupled to the electrical contact set of the time switch in such a way that the contact set is either opened or closed when the switching star continues to rotate by a latching position. A disadvantage of these known time switches proves that it is not possible due to the switching tabs rotating with the switching ring to immediately see the inserted switching program by simply looking at the time switch. Rather, the revolving scale attached to the switching ring must be read in order to assess the position of the switching riders.
The invention has for its object to develop a timer of the type mentioned, in which the program inserted by the Schaltreiter is easily surveyed without the need for a scale reading.
To solve this problem, a timer is proposed according to the preamble of
Advantageous developments of the invention are mentioned in the subclaims.
The fact that in the time switch according to the invention, the switch tabs are plugged onto a fixed circle, the time scale of this fixed circle being able to be arranged similarly to a clock, the inserted time program can essentially be seen at a glance. A switch tab that is supposed to make a switch at 6 a.m., for example, is always in the same spatial position in relation to the timer housing.

This is the front part of the time switch on which the programming device and the switching ring are located. Fig. 1a shows this part in a section parallel to the axis of the switching ring, while Fig. 1b shows the top view from above (in the sense of Fig. 1a). With 1 the upper housing part is designated, which is provided with a
The embodiment of the invention according to FIGS. 2a and 2b differs from that according to FIGS. 1a and 1b in that the time switch is equipped with a
The embodiment largely corresponds to that of FIGS. 2a and 2b. The use of switch tabs with
The embodiments described so far are only suitable for a so-called "single-layer" switching system. In the case of a conventional time switch with rotating switching tabs, this means that the arms of the switching star which cooperate with the cams of the switching tabs and the cams of the switching tabs are all in the same plane. That be indicates that each subsequent switch tab effects the opposite switching (opening or closing) of the contact set as the previous switching tab. The same applies in the embodiments according to FIGS. 1 to 3 for the interaction of the
Würde in Fig. 4b der Schaltreiter 5a einen Nocken 6b in der unteren Ebene haben, dann würden der Nocken 6b und der Schaltsternarm 31a ohne gegenseitigen Kontakt aneinander vorbeilaufen.FIGS. 4a and 4b show an embodiment which makes it possible to work with a two-layer switching system even in the case of a time switch according to the invention. The switching
Another embodiment of a timer according to the invention is shown in Figures 6a and 6b. The peculiarity of this embodiment is that in addition to the
