Die Laschen 42 werden dabei über die Anlaufkante 46 nach außen gedrückt und verrasten schließlich mit den Rastnocken 44 in der Rastkerbe 45. Claims (10)

1. A device for adjusting the height position of a disk rack (1) in a domestic dish washer, comprising laterally arranged rack guides (2, 31), by means of which the rack (1) can be moved out of the tub into a loading position situated in front of the dish washer, and a supporting element (3, 33) associated with each of the rack guides (2, 31), by means of which element said rack is retained at a selected height position, characterized in that each supporting element (3, 33) comprises two upper and lower parts (9, 10, 34, 35) which are vertically slidable relative to each other and which can be fixed in different relative positions by means of disengageable latching portions, of which the lower part (9, 34) is connected to the rack guide (2, 31) and of which the upper part (10, 35) retains the dish rack (1).
2. A device as claimed in Claim 1, characterized in that the latching portions are constructed as spring-loaded expanding catches (16) associated with the upper part (10), which catches engage latching notches (20) in the lower part (9).
3. A device as claimed in Claim 2, characterized in that the upper part (10) of the supporting element (3) takes the form of a grip, which is associated with an actuator (13) for actuating the expanding catches (16).
4. A device as claimed in Claim 1, characterized in that the supporting elements (3) are flat and are arranged on both sides at the location of receding portions of the dish rack (1), suitably in the middle thereof.
5. A device as claimed in Claims 1 to 4, characterized in that each supporting element (3) comprises two substantially U-shaped frames, whose limbs engage with each other in such a way that they enclose a rectangle whose height is variable, which accommodates the latching parts, specifically the expanding catches (16) and the latching notches (29).
6. A device as claimed in Claim 5, characterized in that the actuator (13) acts on a pivot of the expanding catches (16) arranged in accordance with a V via a lever arm (13), by which the catches (16) are drawn against stops (18) serving as pivots and are thus contracted by the force of the expanding springs (17) in such a way that the expanding catches (16) become disengaged from the latched, expanded position.
7. A device as claimed in Claim 1, characterized in that the lower or the upper part (34, 35) has latching notches (45) with which latching cams (44) of the other part engage to form a latched connection.
8. A device as claimed in Claim 7, characterized in that the upper part (35) is formed of an elastic material, for example a plastics material, and the cams (44) are formed on a resiliently deflecting strip (42).
9. A device as claimed in Claim 6, characterized in that the strip (42) is formed so that the free end of the strip (42), which end its preferably provided with a grip (43), is directed downwards and outwards.
10. A device as claimed in any one of the Claims 1 to 9, characterized in that the upper and the lower part (10, 33, 9, 34) have associated stop surfaces (22, 48) and resilient catch-like parts (21, 47) such that the maximum permissible travel is limited by engagement of the catch-like resilient parts (21, 47) with the stop surfaces (22, 48).
