Abstract

1. Pontoon coupling for joining together several individual pontoons with vertical guides arranged at the pontoon side walls for profile-shaped coupling bearers (8) provided at their ends with stoppers which are kept in coupled position between upper and lower stoppers arranged at the pontoon side wall, whilst above in the same height, stopping faces are arranged on both sides of the guide-ways determined by the guides and after introduction of the coupling bearer, the space between the upper stopping faces will be closed by a stopper (2) characterized in that said upper stopping faces are formed by side parts protruding the boardwall of a stop plate (1) inserted in the deck plate.

Description

The invention relates to a pontoon coupling for connecting a plurality of individual pontoons with vertical guides arranged on the pontoon side walls, into which a profile-like coupling carrier provided with stops can be inserted.

Such a pontoon coupling is known from German DE-GM 1 827 322.

Here, the pontoon side walls have recesses and coupling rods which can be inserted vertically and have an approximately double-T-shaped cross section. So that forces can also be transmitted in the vertical direction, at least some of the recesses and the coupling rods should be arranged at a different inclination to the vertical than the other recesses and coupling rods.

This solution has the disadvantage that it is only possible to assemble individual floats when the water is calm. It is not possible to insert the coupling rods, which are arranged at an angle to the vertical, when the water is moving, since - due to the vertical freedom of movement - the guide recesses of the floating bodies to be connected cannot be brought into line.

As can be seen from FIG. 1, this solution requires a large number of connecting elements; (10 bars are shown) where it is not clear how many bars are inserted vertically and how many are inclined.

Another solution is known from DE-PS 25 28 961. The subject of this patent is the arrangement of so-called lugs on the side wall, which serve as a stop for the stopper. The disadvantage of this solution is that the lugs are provided on the vertical side wall. In practice it has been shown that this arrangement has caused the side wall to be deformed, with the result that the coupling carrier can no longer be pulled out of the guide. A deformation of the side wall can only be remedied by complex stiffening measures, which lead to a considerable increase in price.

The invention is therefore based on the object to remedy the shortcomings and to create a pontoon coupling which allows the connection of several preferably three adjacent pontoons, and thereby the pontoons in their entirety as the only vehicle can react even with uneven loading, whereby deformation of the side walls is excluded.

The object is achieved according to the invention in that a plate protruding into the cover plate and protruding from the side wall is provided as the upper limit for the stopper.

An advantageous further embodiment of the invention is that in the pontoon base plate a stop plate opposite the stop plate - but closed stop plate for the coupling carrier is inserted.

It is also advantageous to provide permanent magnets or electromagnets in the upper stop plate.

The invention will now be explained in more detail with reference to an embodiment shown in the drawing.

The figure shows a perspective view of the upper area of a pontoon coupling, in which the edge between the top of the deck and the almost vertical side wall is represented by a broken line (11). The stop plate (1) is countersunk in the top of the deck so that no unnecessary projections on the deck constrict the loading area. The stop plate protrudes beyond the side edge so far that the stopper (2) has a sufficiently large contact surface to prevent the coupling carrier (8) from slipping out. The cutout provided in the stop plate (1) is dimensioned in such a way that the coupling carrier (8) can be pulled out or inserted easily, even in light sea conditions.

On the bottom side of the pontoon opposite the upper stop plate (1) is a closed, i.e. stop plate provided without cutout. The clutch carrier (8) rests on this plate during normal operation. The lower side was also omitted from the figure.

In order to make it easier to assemble the stopper and to prevent the stopper from accidentally slipping sideways and falling into the water during disassembly, the upper stop plate is equipped with permanent magnets or electromagnets, which are dimensioned in such a way that they cannot fall out automatically. deliberate disassembly or assembly is not hindered.
