Definitions
- the invention relates to a metering pump for liquid and gaseous media, with a deformable hose for the medium, which is housed in a pump housing and which a rotating part squeezes against an inner surface in the pump housing.
- Peristaltic pumps of this type are used primarily for conveying acidic and alkaline media, in particular alkalis and acids, which can be liquid or gaseous, abrasive materials and substances of different viscosities, in particular highly viscous substances. These peristaltic pumps work as self-priming metering pumps without valves and seals and, by changing the direction of rotation of a drive motor, enable the direction of delivery to be reversed.
- a deflection within the pump between the inlet side and the outlet side of the hose by 120 °.
- three rollers are provided, which press the hose against a plastic-coated inner surface of the pump housing.
- the tube content is pressed in the conveying direction in accordance with the rotational movement of the rollers which are arranged at the corners of a rotating triangular body.
- a vacuum is created behind each roller, which exerts a constant suction force on the material to be conveyed, which means that it is automatically sucked in.
- the pump can be driven with With the help of a reduction gear, which is actuated by a motor via a V-belt drive.
- the pump can also be coupled directly to a geared motor or driven by a motor via a continuously variable transmission.
- one roller each is arranged in the pump housing near the inlet or outlet of the pump, both of which rotate counterclockwise and are connected to one another by struts.
- the two rollers lie on a common straight line and form an angle of 180 ° with each other.
- the circulation of this arrangement has the effect that one of the two rollers always lies against the inner wall of the hose and squeezes it together, so that a vacuum is created behind the roller, through which the material to be conveyed is sucked in.
- peristaltic pump Similar to this pump, another known peristaltic pump is constructed, in which two opposing rotating rollers alternately compress a tube and press it against a concentric guide channel inside the pump housing. Similar to a centrifugal governor, the rollers are attached to the rotating shaft by means of an arm, which is driven from the outside. In this pump, as in the previously mentioned pump, there is a deflection between the input side and the output side of the pump within the housing by 18 o .
- the aforementioned known metering pumps based on 'peristaltic pumps have the disadvantage that there are at least two rotating rollers or other rotating parts in the pump housing, which squeeze the tube and at the same time roll it, thereby reducing its service life, which makes it frequently replaced Consequence. Since at least two rotating parts squeeze the hose and its deflection angle is a maximum of only 180 0 , a continuous delivery is not guaranteed, since when changing the one rotating part to the other when the hose is pressurized there will always be a slight discontinuity in the even delivery.
- the object of the invention is to provide a self-priming peristaltic pump for metering a conveyed material, in which the hose is pressurized by a single rotating part inside the pump housing without there being any build-up and with which a continuous conveying of the medium is possible.
- This object is achieved in that the rotating part in the pump housing eccentrically surrounds a centrally mounted shaft as the main eccentric and that the hose is guided around the main eccentric with a wrap angle of 360 °.
- the main eccentric is a ball bearing, the outer ring of which adheres to the hose due to surface adhesion during the shaft rotation and the rotation of the shaft rotates the ball bearing, while the outer ring executes a radial reciprocating movement. This ensures that the hose is not twisted, but that it is only pressed together and then released again. Since the wrap angle of the hose around the main eccentric is 360 0 , the hose is always in contact with the main eccentric over its entire circumference, so that the medium is fed continuously, ie without any interruption.
- a pump 1 is shown in section, the pump housing 4 has a circular recess inside which receives a hose 7.
- a drive shaft 9 passes through this recess in the middle and is connected to a variable-speed gear motor (not shown) which, for example, runs at five to one hundred revolutions per minute, as a result of which the pump can deliver 1 quantities of the order of 5 ml / h to 1000 ml / h.
- a main eccentric 2 eccentrically surrounds the centrally mounted shaft 9 as a squeezing agent for the hose 7.
- the main eccentric 2 is a ball bearing, around the outer ring 3 of which the Hose 7 is led around with a wrap angle of 360.
- the outer ring 3 adheres to the hose 7 through its surface adhesion, so that while the shaft 9 rotates, the ball bearing rotates, but not the outer ring 3, which instead executes a radial reciprocating movement and thereby the hose 7 over a large area in the contact zone squeezing.
- the surface adhesion between the hose 7 and the outer ring 3 the latter remains standing and the hose 7 is therefore not rolled over, but only squeezed together and released again.
- the hose 7 is guided counterclockwise around the main eccentric 2 and the direction of flow within the hose 7 is indicated by arrows.
- a secondary eccentric 5 sits on the shaft 9 and is equipped with two cams 8, 8 ', which are arranged at a certain distance from one another.
- the diameter of the secondary eccentric which is designed, for example, as a needle or ball bearing, is approximately twice the shaft diameter, but is considerably smaller than the diameter of the main eccentric 2.
- This chamber 13 has a cross section which is similar to a mushroom upside down in a schematic representation.
- the chamber 13 has a circumferential shoulder 14 against which the cams 8 and 8 'come to rest during the rotational movement of the secondary eccentric 5.
- the cams 8,8 ' are of the same length, but it is also possible that they can be of different lengths.
- the position of the secondary eccentric 5 is such that the cam 8 bears against the shoulder 14 on the left side of the chamber 13, while the cam 8 'is directed vertically downwards and has a gap with respect to the inner surface of the chamber 13.
- the hose 7 is then relieved and has a diameter x in its upper part.
- the secondary eccentric 5 is in a position in which the cam is rotated counterclockwise by a certain angle with respect to Fig. 1.
- the cam 8 ' directly in contact with the shoulder 14 in the right-hand part of the chamber 13, while the cam 8 bears against the inner wall of the chamber 13 at a location which is approximately perpendicular to the shaft 9.
- the tube 7 is then compressed in the upper region and, in the loaded state, assumes a diameter y that is smaller than the diameter x in the unloaded state.
- the pump housing 4 is closed on both sides by housing covers 6, 6 ', which are held together by means of fastening screws 10.
- Ball bearings 12, 12 ' are arranged in the housing covers 6, 6', by means of which the shaft 9 is supported.
- the main eccentric 2 is secured against displacement by a fastening element, for example a locking screw 11. 3 is in the upper Part of the loaded condition of the hose 7 is identified by the reference symbol 7 ', while the unloaded hose in the lower part of the pump housing 4 is identified by the reference symbol 7.
- the secondary eccentric 5 can also be equipped with only a single cam 8 which, when the secondary eccentric 5 rotates, abuts against an inner surface 15 of the chamber 13 at several points under pressure and thereby the main eccentric 2 radially towards it. and moved to squeeze and release the hose 7.
- a single cam 8 which, when the secondary eccentric 5 rotates, abuts against an inner surface 15 of the chamber 13 at several points under pressure and thereby the main eccentric 2 radially towards it. and moved to squeeze and release the hose 7.
- the secondary eccentric 5 seated on the shaft 9 takes the ball bearing or the central part of the main eccentric 2 with its single cam or through its two cams 8, 8 'and presses this more or less strongly against the inside of the hose in accordance with the selected eccentricity 7.
- the selected eccentricity of the main eccentric 2 depends on the inner diameter of the hose 7 and, if possible, a tolerance of no greater than ⁇ 0.1 mm should occur. So As soon as the shaft 9 is stopped, the main eccentric 2 automatically relieves the pressure on the hose 7 due to the hose back pressure, since due to the eccentricity of the main eccentric 2 due to the pressure prevailing in the hose moves downwards until the cams 8; 8 'against the inner surface 15 of the chamber 13 and block a further downward movement. The hose 7 is relieved and its diameter is increased in the upper region of the recess.

Description
The invention relates to a metering pump for liquid and gaseous media, with a deformable hose for the medium, which is housed in a pump housing and which a rotating part squeezes against an inner surface in the pump housing.
Peristaltic pumps of this type are used primarily for conveying acidic and alkaline media, in particular alkalis and acids, which can be liquid or gaseous, abrasive materials and substances of different viscosities, in particular highly viscous substances. These peristaltic pumps work as self-priming metering pumps without valves and seals and, by changing the direction of rotation of a drive motor, enable the direction of delivery to be reversed.
In a known peristaltic pump, there is a deflection within the pump between the inlet side and the outlet side of the hose by 120 °. In the interior of the pump housing, three rollers are provided, which press the hose against a plastic-coated inner surface of the pump housing. As a result, the tube content is pressed in the conveying direction in accordance with the rotational movement of the rollers which are arranged at the corners of a rotating triangular body. A vacuum is created behind each roller, which exerts a constant suction force on the material to be conveyed, which means that it is automatically sucked in. The pump can be driven with With the help of a reduction gear, which is actuated by a motor via a V-belt drive. The pump can also be coupled directly to a geared motor or driven by a motor via a continuously variable transmission.
In another known peristaltic pump, one roller each is arranged in the pump housing near the inlet or outlet of the pump, both of which rotate counterclockwise and are connected to one another by struts. The two rollers lie on a common straight line and form an angle of 180 ° with each other. The circulation of this arrangement has the effect that one of the two rollers always lies against the inner wall of the hose and squeezes it together, so that a vacuum is created behind the roller, through which the material to be conveyed is sucked in.
Similar to a centrifugal governor, the rollers are attached to the rotating shaft by means of an arm, which is driven from the outside. In this pump, as in the previously mentioned pump, there is a deflection between the input side and the output side of the pump within the housing by 18 o .
So far, funding has been used in reproduction technology a developer medium, for example an ammonia solution, primarily membrane pumps are used, which are controlled by a pulse generator. The disadvantage of these pumps is that an excess of ammonia development solution is conveyed or introduced into the development chamber, this excess serving to bridge the interval from one pulse to the next pulse of, for example, 5 seconds. This can lead to the material to be developed being developed too wet sporadically, so that it can become stained. Another disadvantage is the fact that the ammonia consumption is generally too high and is about 30 to 40% above the necessary amount. This excess amount must of course then be removed from the development chamber again, which is both time-consuming and requires corresponding steps for absorption to reduce the proportion of ammonia in the exhaust air. In addition, the excess amount accumulates in the pump body during the downtimes of the pump, which can lead to a failure of the pump.
The aforementioned known metering pumps based on 'peristaltic pumps have the disadvantage that there are at least two rotating rollers or other rotating parts in the pump housing, which squeeze the tube and at the same time roll it, thereby reducing its service life, which makes it frequently replaced Consequence. Since at least two rotating parts squeeze the hose and its deflection angle is a maximum of only 180 0 , a continuous delivery is not guaranteed, since when changing the one rotating part to the other when the hose is pressurized there will always be a slight discontinuity in the even delivery.
The object of the invention is to provide a self-priming peristaltic pump for metering a conveyed material, in which the hose is pressurized by a single rotating part inside the pump housing without there being any build-up and with which a continuous conveying of the medium is possible.
This object is achieved in that the rotating part in the pump housing eccentrically surrounds a centrally mounted shaft as the main eccentric and that the hose is guided around the main eccentric with a wrap angle of 360 °.
In an embodiment of the invention, the main eccentric is a ball bearing, the outer ring of which adheres to the hose due to surface adhesion during the shaft rotation and the rotation of the shaft rotates the ball bearing, while the outer ring executes a radial reciprocating movement. This ensures that the hose is not twisted, but that it is only pressed together and then released again. Since the wrap angle of the hose around the main eccentric is 360 0 , the hose is always in contact with the main eccentric over its entire circumference, so that the medium is fed continuously, ie without any interruption.
The invention is explained in more detail below with reference to an embodiment shown in the drawings.
- Fig. 3 eine Seitenansicht im Schnitt der Dosierpumpe.
- 1 is a schematic sectional view of the metering pump with relieved hose,
- Fig. 2 is a sectional view of the metering pump similar to that of FIG. 1, with a loaded hose, and
- Fig. 3 is a side view in section of the metering pump.
In Fig. 1, a pump 1 is shown in section, the pump housing 4 has a circular recess inside which receives a hose 7. A
A secondary eccentric 5 sits on the
In Fig. 1, the position of the secondary eccentric 5 is such that the
As the side view in section according to FIG. 3 shows, the pump housing 4 is closed on both sides by
The secondary eccentric 5 seated on the
In an experimental use of such a metering pump in the development of microfilms using ammonia dissolved in water, for example a concentration of 25% NH 4 OH, the consumption of ammonia was considerably reduced compared to a conventional diaphragm pump with pulse control, because of the continuity the promotion of an oversupply of ammonia developer solution compared to the diaphragm pump, which is known to have to bridge the pause time between two intervals of 5 seconds, and therefore always injects an oversupply of developer solution into the development space.
