The collar (3) is articulated to the sole about a second transverse axis, defined by two pivots (14) and located at the rear of the boot. A join between the shell and the collar thus articulated is produced by means of a movable element (15) such as a cable, wire, or cord, bearing both on the shell (2) and the collar (3), this joining element establishing a relationship between the tilting of the shell and the spacing of the collar. The sole may consist of two portions (4) and (9) articulated together about the front axis (7), in which case the boot applies to nordic skiing. <IMAGE>

Description

The present invention relates to a ski boot, more particularly a ski boot of the type comprising those of an independent shell and collar, fitted one inside the other.

In ski boots of this type, and in the usual way, the shell is integral with the sole, and the collar, articulated at the rear of the shell, encloses the top of the shell and the skier's leg. For the opening and closing of this kind of shoes, the conventional system is known on the one hand, with hooks provided both on the shell and on the collar, on the other hand, the rear fitting system. , taking advantage of the articulation of the collar, the shell remaining rigid. This latter system has already brought progress with regard to the ease and speed of putting on and taking off; the user must however always bend down to open or close the hooks, or the single hook which may be sufficient in this case.

Also known, from German patent application N O 2 434 218, a ski boot with independent shell and collar, in which the shell is articulated to the sole around a first axis transverse to the boot, and located at the 'front of the shoe, while the collar is articulated to the sole about a second axis transverse to the shoe, and located at the rear of the shoe. However, this structure is intended to allow the introduction or the release, as well as the locking, of a removable inner liner, usable for walking without skis. In addition, the structure recalled here retains conventional closing means, such as hooks, so that the drawbacks previously indicated are not really eliminated.

The object of the present invention is to provide a ski boot for normal use, that is to say without a removable inner bootie for walking, and making it easier and faster to put on and take off, not only by its general structure but still by removing the usual closing means that are hooks.

To this end, it relates to a ski boot of the type indicated in the introduction, in which the shell is articulated to the sole around a first axis transverse to the boot, and located at the front of the boot, while the collar is articulated to the sole around a second axis transverse to the shoe, and located at the rear of the shoe, and in which a connection between this shell and this collar, articulated one and the other at the sole, is produced by a movable element such as cable, wire, cord, bearing both on the shell and on the collar, this connecting element establishing a relationship between the tilting of the shell and the spacing of the collar.

The shoe according to the invention therefore comprises a double articulation, allowing the shell to tilt forwards and the collar towards the rear, the pivoting of these two parts around their respective axes of articulation relative to the sole allowing easy passage from a closed position to an open position, or vice versa. To put on the shoe, the user just has to press his foot, and to take the shoes off, he just has to lift the foot, all these operations being done by perfectly "natural" movements and without the user having to stoop down. of connection such as cable, wire, cord, also allows the elimination of the usual closing means that are the hooks; this element "follows" the tilting of the hull, by establishing a permanent relationship between this tilting and the spacing of the collar, the arrangement of this element can be as follows: starting from an anchor point located on one side of the collar, it passes in front of the upper part of the shell then along the upper edge of the collar located on the side opposite the point above-mentioned anchor, then forms a loop with two substantially vertical strands, at the rear of the shoe, under the collar, the lower part of this loop being linked to the rear of the bottom of the hull; the cable also passes along the other upper edge of the collar, its end passing again in front of the shell and finally being anchored at a point on the collar situated on the side opposite to the first anchoring point, so that the two end parts of cable or similar link cross in front of the upper part of the hull. Preferably, there is provided, at the rear of the collar, a lock making it possible to block the aforementioned connecting element such as cable, wire, cord, during the use of the shoe, or to release this element, to allow putting on and taking off.

L'articulation existant à l'avant de la chaussure selon l'invention peut être mise à profit pour réaliser une chaussure ayant sa semelle constituée de deux parties articulées à leur extrémité avant, avec des moyens prévus pour solidariser les deux parties de la semelle,sensiblement dans un même plan, ou pour les libérer et permettre le pivotement de l'une par rapport à l'autre, ce qui est connu en soi (voir par exemple la demande de brevet allemand N° 1 811 135) et permet la pratique du ski de randonnée,le talon pouvant être libéré pour la montée, ou rester immobilisé pour la descente. Dans le cas de l'adaptation de ce principe à la chaussure selon l'invention, les deux parties de la semelle sont articulées entre elles, à leur extrémité avant, autour d'un axe transversal confondu avec l'axe d'articulation de la coque par rapport à la semelle, l'une des deux parties précitées portant, à l'arrière, l'articulation du collier. L'adaptation au ski de randonnée ne nécessite ainsi aucun axe supplémentaire. L'une des deux parties articulées de la semelle porte à l'arrière, dans une forme de réalisation possible, un étrier dont les deux branches supportent les pivots de montage et d'articulation du collier, réalisant la seconde articulation. ;The articulation existing at the front of the shoe according to the invention can be used to make a shoe having its sole made up of two parts articulated at their front end, with means provided for securing the two parts of the sole, substantially in the same plane, or to release them and allow pivoting of one relative to the other, which is known per se (see for example German patent application No. 1,811,135) and allows practice ski touring, the heel can be released for the ascent, or remain immobilized for the descent. In the case of the adaptation of this principle to the shoe according to the invention, the two parts of the sole are hinged together, at their front end, around a transverse axis coincident with the axis of articulation of the shell relative to the sole, one of the two aforementioned parts carrying, at the rear, the articulation of the collar. Adapting to ski touring therefore requires no additional axis. One of the two articulated parts of the sole carries at the rear, in a possible embodiment, a stirrup, the two branches of which support the mounting and articulation pivots of the collar, producing the second articulation. ;

  • Figure 1 est une vue en perspective d'une chaussure conforme à l'invention, représentée en position de fermeture;
  • Figure 2 est une vue en perspective de la même chaussure, mais représentée en position d'ouverture;
  • Figure 3 est une autre vue en perspective,montrant cette chaussure dans la position de montée;
  • Figure 4 est une vue en coupe longitudinale de la chaussure selon l'invention, le câble de liaison entre la coque et le collier n'étant pas indiqué;
In any case, the invention will be better understood with the aid of the description which follows, with reference to the drawing schematic annexed representing, by way of nonlimiting example, an embodiment of this ski boot:
  • Figure 1 is a perspective view of a shoe according to the invention, shown in the closed position;
  • Figure 2 is a perspective view of the same shoe, but shown in the open position;
  • Figure 3 is another perspective view showing this shoe in the mounted position;
  • Figure 4 is a longitudinal sectional view of the shoe according to the invention, the connecting cable between the shell and the collar not being indicated;
  • Figure 5 is a partial cross-sectional view of this shoe, according to 5-5 of Figure 4.

The shoe shown is generally made up of three main parts, articulated together, which are the sole 1, the shell 2 and the collar 3.

The sole 1 comprises an outer part 4, having a longitudinal central recess 5. A yoke 6, fixed to the front of the outer part 4, determines a transverse articulation axis 7. On this axis is mounted a hinge 8, of which one of the articulated elements is fixed to the front end of an inner part 9 of the sole 1. The inner part 9 is able to take place in the corresponding housing formed by the recess 5 of the outer part 4 of the sole.

The latter carries the tongue 10 of the shoe, and it has, at the rear, a wide opening delimited by oblique edges 11 ( see figure 4). On the bottom of the shell 2 is placed the inner liner 12 of the shoe, visible in FIGS. 4 and 5.

The inner part 9 of the sole 1 carries, at the rear, a stirrup 13 whose two arms, facing upwards, support lateral pivots 14 which serve for mounting and articulation of the collar 3 of the shoe.

So the shoe includes, at the same time, a shell? articulated to the sole 1 around a first transverse axis 7, located at the front, and a collar 3 articulated to the sole 1 around a second transverse axis, located at the rear and formed by the line connecting the two pivots 14.

A connection between the shell 2 and the collar 3 is provided by a cable 15 which describes the following path, visible in FIGS. 1 to 3:
  • Starting from an anchor point 16 located on one side of the collar 3, the cable 15 passes in front of the upper part of the shell 2 then along the upper edge of the collar 3 located on the side opposite to point 16. Along this upper edge, the cable 15 passes under a protective coating 17, then on a guide 18 located at the rear. Then it forms a loop with two substantially vertical strands, at the rear of the shoe, under the collar 3; the lower part of this loop is linked to the rear of the bottom of the shell 2. Along the other upper edge of the collar 3, the cable 15 also passes over a guide and under an upper covering, symmetrical to those indicated above . Finally, the end of the cable 15 again passes in front of the shell 2 and is anchored at a point 19 located on the collar 3, on the side opposite to the anchoring point 16. Thus the two end parts of the cable 15 intersect in front of the upper part of the hull 2.

The shoe constituted as described above can be placed in the closed position, visible in FIG. 1, or in the open position, visible in FIG. 2. In the closed position, which is obviously the position of use, the shell 2 is fitted most deeply into the collar 3, the bottom of the shell 2 occupying a position substantially parallel to the sole 1. A lock 20, provided at the rear of the collar 3, makes it possible to block the cable 15 in this position. In the open position, which allows the user to put on or take off the shoe, the shell 2 is tilted forward, by pivoting around the axis 7, and it moves away from the collar 3 which, for its part, can tilt slightly backwards thanks to the pivots 14. The elongation of the cable 15 in the region located in front of the shell 2, where its two end parts intersect, is offset by a shortening of the loop that it forms at the rear of the shoe. Of course, the latch 20 must be released to release the cable 15 and allow the passage from the closed position to the open position.

The simple support of the foot, introduced into the shoe, makes it possible to pass from the open position (figure 2) to the closed position (figure 1), by lowering the articulated shell 2, and conversely the lifting of the foot causes the spacing of the shell 2 and the collar 3, therefore the opening of the shoe; thus the invention facilitates putting on and taking off.

In the use described so far, the inner part 9 of the sole 1 remains in place in the recess 5 of the outer part 4, and a locking of these two parts is carried out to link them together. To this end, a bar 21 is slidably mounted, in a transverse direction, at the rear of the external part 4, while it is provided, at the rear of the internal part 9, sounds the stirrup 13, a finger 22 protruding downward. The bar 21 has a lumen 23, widening at one of its ends. In a position of the sliding bar 21, the finger 22 is locked in the narrowest region of the lumen 23, so that the two parts 4 and 9 of the sole 1 are immobilized relative to each other, which allows the shoe to be used normally for downhill skiing. On the other hand, in another position of the bar 21, the finger 22 is located in line with the enlarged part of the lumen 23 and it is thus released, which allows the inner part 9 of the sole, with the shell 2 and the collar 3, to pivot around the front axle 7 (see Figure 3). The shoe is thus placed in an upward position, allowing the practice of ski touring. One end of the sliding bar 21 advantageously has a particular arrangement, such as a simple right angle bend, facilitating its maneuver for the passage from one position to the other.

It goes without saying that the invention is not limited to the sole embodiment of this ski boot which has been described above, by way of example; on the contrary, it embraces all of the variations that fall under it. of the same principle, the various specific provisions described which can be replaced by equivalent means, in particular:
  • -The cable 15 ensuring the connection between the shell 2 and the collar 3 is replaceable by any similar link, such as wire, cord, strap ...
  • -If the sole 1 is made in two articulated parts, it may be, instead of an outer part 4 and an inner part 9, a lower part and an upper part, always articulated between them at the front.
  • -The locking means 21 to 23, making it possible to secure the two parts of the sole or to release their articulation, can be produced in various ways.
