Auch ist ein solches Drehgestell erheblich wartungsfreundlicher als ein Drehgestell mit Hohlwellenantrieb. Das Antriebsaggregat kann in den meisten Fällen ohne Heben des Wagens und Abpressen der Räder ausgebaut werden.
