Durch diese Maßnahmen wird erreicht, daß die Regelungsvorrichtung bereits bei Zurücklegung eines sehr kleinen Weges seitens der Tänzerwalze anspricht, so daß diese praktisch nicht mehr um ihren Ruhepunkt oszilliert, sondern die Ruhelage unmittelbar nach einem nur sehr kurzen Ausschlag zu einer der beiden Seiten hin wieder einnimmt. Die Schwenkwege des Hebelarmes können entsprechend klein gewählt werden. Durch die erwähnten zusätzlichen Bauteile, nämlich das Magnetventil und den zweiten Bremszylinder mit zugehörigen Lei- ,4ungen wird auf einfache Weise ein kontrollierter Nothalt bei Betätigung des Magnetventils erzielt. Man macht sich hierbei die Eigenschaft des Hauptsystems zunutze, daß im Druckluftbehälter stets derjenige Druck ansteht, der der momentanen Spannung der Warenbahn entspricht und somit - über das Trägheitsmoment der Vorratsrolle - auch der momentan abzubremsenden Masse. Die erfindungsgemäße Regelungsvorrichtung ist somit mit zwei Bremssystemen ausgerüstet, wobei das eine Bremssystem die Spannung der Warenbahn kontinuierlich einregelt und das andere Bremssystem den Nothalt der Maschine besorgt. Bei bekannten Maschinen fällt der Nothalt nach seiner Auslösung stets schlagartig ein mit den bekannten nachteiligen Wirkungen auf die Maschinenbauteile und auf die schlagartig abgebremste Warenbahn. Claims (3)

1. Device for regulating the tension of a sheet of material (1) running off from a storage roll, comprising a compensating roller (3) around which the sheet of material (1) is guided, with which roller a mechanical control element (4) is connected, the deflection of which influences a pneumatic valve assembly (10, 11) which, in a pressurized piping system equipped with throttles (14, 15), acts upon the pneumatic pressure of a brake cylinder (22) of a pneumatic brake serving for braking the movement of the sheet of material, wherein the control element (4) is movable between two limiting positions, in each of which a valve (10, 11) connected into a pneumatic line (12, 13) and having a throttle (14, 15) connected in series is acted upon, both of which valves are connected with a pressurised air vessel (19) which acts upon the brake cylinder (22), wherein furthermore the valve (10) which is acted upon when the stress in the sheet of material (1) decreases is connected into the pressurized line (12) and, when it is actuated by the control element (4), connects the pressurized air vessel (19) with the pressurized air source (15a), and the valve (11) which is acted upon when the stress in the sheet of material (1) increases is connected into a line (13) leading to atmosphere and, when it is actuated, connects the pressurized air vessel (19) with atmosphere, characterized in that the relevant control element is a pivotally mounted lever (4) prestressed by a tension spring (6), which lever is pivotal between two limit switches in order to act upon the relevant valves (10, 11) each connected into the pneumatic line (12, 13), and that the pressurized air vessel (19) itself acts, via a solenoid valve (25) actuatable for emergency stop, additionally upon a second, pneumatic brake cylinder (27).
2. Device according to Claim 1, characterized in that a pressure converter (26) is provided between the solenoid valve (25) and the second brake cylinder (27).
3. Device according to Claim 1 or 2, characterized in that, for the normal stopping of the machine processing the sheet of material, the pressurized air vessel (19) acts via a throttle (30) and a valve (31), additionally upon a third, pneumatic brake cylinder (32).
