Description
The invention relates to a forward and reverse switchable step switch for a multistage switch, which is arranged in a housing and has two individual, functionally separate actuating elements, each provided with a push button, a plunger and a switching element, on which a return spring acts and which acts through a linear working movement can be brought into engagement with the pinion of a character carrier arranged on the axis of symmetry of the housing and operatively connected to a raster spring.
From DE-B 1 549 987 a counter is known which has two pushbuttons, each provided with a molded-on driver and guided by a pin, and a numerical roller provided on one side with switching pins. During the linear working movement of the push button, the respective driver engages with one of the switching pins, as a result of which the digit roller is rotated. After the working movement, the pushbuttons are each pressed back into the basic position by a spring arranged in the pushbutton, while a correspondingly arranged raster spring with a wedge tip reaches the space between two switching pins.
In this counter, the switching process is initiated by the corresponding pushbutton and completed by the associated raster spring.
A switch (
The invention has for its object to provide a step-by-step mechanism of the type mentioned, in which the individual actuating element has a relatively short switching path, ensures an exact switching operation without additional adjustment of the switching elements and, after the switching operation is complete, disengages from the pinion of the character carrier. In addition, the actuating element should have few individual parts, ensure simple assembly without additional aids and be able to be produced from plastic in the known, economical spraying process. These demands should also be accessible if it is a miniature stepping mechanism. The object is achieved according to the invention in that the switching element formed on the tappet of the actuating elements inevitably can be deflected from a rest position in each switching step directed against the restoring spring forces and can be brought into engagement with the pinion and can be returned to the rest position by spring force after the switching step has been completed.
The advantages achieved by the invention are that the forward and reverse switching mechanism has relatively few individual parts - two actuating elements with a molded spring element, or with a single coil spring, a raster spring and a character carrier with pinion. The shiftable switching element of the respective actuating element which can be brought into engagement with the toothed pinion can be arranged directly in the region of the toothed pinion without neglecting the switching accuracy and the requirement of a completed switching operation. Due to the functional parts that essentially form a unit with the actuating element, the entire switching mechanism can be designed in an optimally compact design and can be installed in an appropriately designed housing without additional aids.

A further actuating
For the forward and backward switching mechanism of the
The operation of the step switch in connection with the push button switch is described below:
As can be seen from the figures described above, the forward and backward stepping mechanism used in the
By repeatedly pressing the pushbuttons, the necessary switching steps are carried out until the
In the example shown, the deflection of the switching
For the forward and backward stepping mechanism two
The housing with the baffles, pins, stops etc. arranged on the inside of the side wall, as well as the actuating elements and the raster spring can preferably be produced from suitable plastic in an economical injection molding process, so that rational mass production and thus also low manufacturing costs are ensured.
