Description

The invention relates to a partition for a shower or bathtub partition with a partition plate which has sections formed out of its plane to form storage compartments.

Conventional partition walls for shower or bath tubs separate a cabin from the rest of the room in such a way that the room surrounding the cabin is safely protected from water splashes or the like; they also represent a privacy screen. The partition wall described at the beginning, known from FR-A 14 63 161, is an installation wall primarily intended for retrofitting in old buildings, which is to be fastened in a corner of the room and has connections for its lower edge has a base part similar to a shower tray. The storage compartments molded into the partition plate each have a circumferential side wall (i.e. a horizontal shelf) that is perpendicular to the partition plate level and a vertical rear wall offset parallel to the partition plate level.

If one were to use the known device with a shower, one would have to take into account that a considerable amount of spray water is produced in shower cubicles, which also penetrate into the storage compartments and would partially remain on the horizontal floor sections of the side walls.

In contrast, and taking into account the chronic narrowness in the shower cubicles formed by conventional shower enclosures, the object of the invention is to design the storage compartments in the partition wall in such a way that they are arranged in a manner essentially outside the shower base area for the safe reception of shower supplies that the water splashing into the compartments is not held.

This object is achieved by the invention in that the sections formed to form storage compartments from the plane of the partition have inclined storage surfaces, at the foot of which stop elements are provided. The inclined storage areas on the one hand protrude from the actual shower cabin and on the other hand ensure that incoming and splashing water can run off unhindered. In addition, the inclined position of the deposited objects allows easy, unobstructed access when showering, the stop elements preventing the objects from slipping off without disturbing the water drainage.

Of particular advantage is the formation of such storage compartments with inclined storage surfaces in a - deviating from the arrangement known from FR-A 14 13 161 - protruding into the free space partition of a shower partition further in that the compartment walls can also be used on the outside for storage purposes; especially if triangular or trapezoidal compartment cross sections are provided in a preferred manner.

Figures 1 to 4 show a rectangular partition plate 10, which has a section field 12 parallel to the plate edges, which is offset slightly parallel to the plane of the plate. Two sections 14 are arranged in the section field 12, the section longitudinal direction of which is aligned parallel to the longitudinal edge 11 of the separating plate. The sections 14 each have a central storage area 16, over the entire length L of which a trapezoidal cross section is maintained. An end area 18 connects to the storage area at both ends. In the storage areas, the storage surface 20 which is inclined downwards from the partition plate 10 has an angle of inclination with respect to the plane of the board which is somewhat less than 45 °. This inclined surface continues with a relatively abrupt change in inclination in the end region 18, the inclination towards the plane of the partition plate in the end region being somewhat greater than in the storage region and being approximately 45 °. As a result of this change in inclination, the storage area is delimited by a lateral end bead 22, which prevents objects from sliding sideways.

The sections 14 have at their base, i. H. in the plane of the separating plate, an essentially rectangular cutting curve with rounded edges, while the end surface 19 most distant from the plane of the plate and parallel to the plane of the plate has rounded end edges.

The cross-section along the line AB of the partition shown in FIG. 1 shows that those provided in the section field 12 two sections 14 with a trapezoidal cross section, which are formed out of the plane of the separating plate 10, merge directly into corresponding two sections 30, which are opposite to the first sections 14, the inclined surfaces 32 of the sections 30 being immediately and with a constant inclination merge into the corresponding surfaces 20 of the storage areas of the sections 14. The depth of the sections 30 is relatively small compared to the depth of the sections 14 and is the same for all sections 30. In order not to limit the space within the shower or bathtub partition, the partition shown in FIGS. 1 to 4 is therefore generally attached as a side wall or the like in such a way that the deep sections 14 point outwards, while the sections 30 face the plane the partition plate protrude into the cabin. Stop elements 34 are attached to the front surface 19 of the sections 14 parallel to the plane of the partition plate. For this purpose, two holders 36 are used, which are screwed through bores 24 in section 14. One leg 38 of the stop element 34 extends over the entire length L of the storage area 16 and extends approximately in a plane perpendicular to the storage area 20 in order to effectively prevent deposited objects from sliding off the storage area 20. If such stop elements 34 are also applied to the front surfaces 29 of the sections 30 in the manner shown in FIG. 2, the lower inclined surfaces 20 of the sections 14 can also be used as storage surfaces which can be occupied from the interior of the separated cabins. The inclination of the surfaces 20 has the effect that water sprayed onto these surfaces can run off, since the stop elements let the water run off between the holders 36. Since the stop elements 34 are connected to the partition wall only via the two holders 36, towels, washcloths, etc. can also be hung thereon.

Die Fig. 5 und 6 zeigen der Fig. 2 entsprechende Querschnitte durch weitere Ausführungen der erfindungsgemäßen Trennwand.5 and 6 show cross sections corresponding to FIG. 2 through further designs of the partition according to the invention.

The second embodiment of the invention shown in FIG. 5 shows a cross section through the partition plate 10, from the plane of which sections 50 are formed parallel to one another and form a triangular cross section in their storage area.

The third embodiment of the invention shown in FIG. 6 shows a cross section through a partition plate 10 which has first sections 60 with a triangular cross section in the storage area. Also provided are second sections 70, which likewise have a triangular cross section in the storage area. The first sections point in a first direction perpendicular to the plate plane, while the second sections point in the direction opposite to the first direction perpendicular to the plate plane.
