Description

The present invention relates to a rigid vertical support facilitating the attachment of a radiator element of a heating installation against a wall or other vertical wall of the building.

The flat radiator element of the type currently most used, present both at its upper longitudinal end as upper and lower, over a height of about a centimeter, a flat part, thinned relative to its body, forming a rib d 'a thickness equivalent to that of the two walls constituting it; to hang it, flat or profiled metal supports are used which are fixed vertically to the wall, at their central part, and which have a lower part which deviates from the wall and which is provided, near its end, with a notch turned upwards, generally produced by a first and a second fold; it is in this notch, having more or less the shape of a rounded groove, that the lower rib of the radiator element is placed.

Currently, to hold it from above, a rigid complementary part is used for each support provided with a notch facing downwards which will come to take on the upper rib of the radiator element; this part is fixed to the support in different ways, for example, the upper part of the support moves away from the wall to form a more or less horizontal tab, on which the complementary part will be fixed, or it is provided with a vertical return sliding on or in the support to be fixed there. This type of device essentially has the disadvantage that the complementary part cannot be fixed to the support until after it has been placed on the upper rib of the radiator element, and there therefore take place during the entire fixing operation. If the radiator element is to be placed under a shelf, it is not possible to fix the additional part from above without having to remove the shelf.

The present invention overcomes these drawbacks; for this purpose, according to it, the rigid vertical support fixed to the wall or other vertical wall of a building, for the attachment of radiator elements, support, from which in known manner, the lower end deviates from the wall and ends with a notch turned upwards, in the form of a curved groove, and serving to place there the lower longitudinal end of the radiator element and of which, also in known manner, the upper end of this support ends with a flexible steel blade, extending the support upwards and away from it and finally terminated by a part in the general shape of an inverted U allowing the upper longitudinal end of the radiator element to be held. The support is characterized in that the steel blade is secured to or secured to the support before the radiator element is placed and that the terminal part, generally in the shape of an inverted U, has a last branch that is shorter than the first.

By means of a rigid support to which a flexible steel blade thus conformed at its upper part, it is sufficient, after having placed the radiator element which is held slightly at an angle in the lower notch of the supports, then fold it down toward the plumb line; the horizontal longitudinal upper end of the radiator element abuts against the last branch of the inverted U of the steel blade and pushes the latter up and back so that at some point the end of the last branch of U overcomes and exceeds the end of the radiator element and, by spring effect, the inverted U-shaped part comes to overlap said end; therefore, the radiator element is perfectly held and without it being necessary to engage in any fixing operation as with the currently known devices.

Afin de mieux comprendre l'invention, on la décrit maintenant par rapport à un dessin qui représente de manière exemplative et non limitative ;

  • à la figure 1, une vue latérale d'un support, de type connu, perfectionné selon l'invention, garni d'un élément de radiateur ;
  • à la figure 2, une vue latérale agrandie de la lame d'acier ;
  • à la figure 3, une vue latérale d'une variante de réalisation de la partie terminale de la lame d'acier ;
In order to better understand the invention, it is now described with reference to a drawing which represents by way of example and without limitation;
  • in Figure 1, a side view of a support, of known type, improved according to the invention, furnished with a radiator element;
  • in Figure 2, an enlarged side view of the steel blade;
  • in Figure 3, a side view of an alternative embodiment of the end portion of the steel blade;
  • in Figure 4, a side view of another variant of the end portion of the steel strip.

Referring to these figures, there is shown by 1 a radiator element, by 2 its lower horizontal longitudinal rib, by 3 its upper horizontal longitudinal rib, by 4 a vertical support of known type whose middle part 4a is fixed against a wall (not shown), by 4b the lower part of the support moving away from the wall and terminated by a notch 5 facing upwards, by 4c the upper part of the support moving away from the wall, in the example chosen horizontally; it is on this part 4c forming a rigid tab that the parallel part 6 of the flexible steel blade is secured by means, as shown, of a straight screw 7 passing through the tab 4c and the part 6 of the blade ; this screw 7 is held by a nut 8 in order to properly block the part 6 of the steel blade on the tab 4c. In order to prevent any horizontal movement of the blade, provision can be made for the tab 4c to have lateral flanges 9 between which the rear part 6 of the steel blade is slid. Of course, other methods of attachment can be envisaged.

The steel blade, in addition to this first horizontal part 6, is shaped so as to then comprise a vertical part 10, then a horizontal part 11 and finally a part terminal 12 in the shape of an inverted U (FIG. 2), the first branch 12a longer than the last branch 12b so that after the upper rib 3 has abutted against the branch 12b and lifted the inverted U 12, it cannot exceed the branch 12a inevitably abutting against it.

In order to facilitate the lifting of the inverted U 12, the branch 12b is brought slightly towards the other; moreover, the internal distance between the tip of the branch 12b and the other branch 12a is almost equivalent to the thickness of the rib 3 of the radiator element so as to ensure that the latter remains in good condition.

If, as shown in FIG. 2, the steel blade and in particular its end part 12 has parts 10, 11, 12a, 12b which are more or less rectilinear, it is possible to provide for much more rounded parts (FIG. 3). branch 12b which can end with a stopper 13 (Figure 4).

Of course, the invention is not limited to the embodiment described and shown and one would not go beyond its scope by making modifications to it, in particular by not providing parts 10 and 11 to the blade. steel but in this case there would be less possibility of lifting the inverted U 12, but conversely, one could provide more than two; on the other hand, the steel blade could be fixed at the rear, by a vertical rear part allowing the steel blade to come directly onto the vertical part of the support 4.

The system described is suitable for a radiator constituted by a single flat element 1 or several flat elements 1 in parallel integral with one another, the fixing being carried out however only on the flat element close to the wall.

In order to facilitate the possible detachment of the radiator, a hole (not shown) can be provided on a horizontal part (for example part 11) allowing a point or end of a screwdriver to be inserted therein so as to be able to release the blade of steel and in particular the last inverted U-shaped part 12 of the point 3 of the radiator element 1, so that the point or the end of a screwdriver does not have to be placed below the part 12b of the steel blade, which would deteriorate the paint of the radiator element 1 at the point 3.

If the improvement is particularly intended for a radiator element of the flat type, with or without a convector, one can also consider its use for a radiator element of the column type; it suffices, in fact, to provide a middle branch, of the inverted U of the steel blade, of a larger dimension and possibly rounded, and this opposite a notch also wider, and rounded at the lower end support.

If as indicated above, the placement of the tip 3 of the radiator element below the part 12 of the steel blade can be done automatically, it is also envisaged to lift, by means of a tool, this part 12 for placing the tip 3 of the radiator element so as to be able to reduce, for example for aesthetic reasons the dimension of the steel strip.

If generally the rigid support will be metallic, one can also provide it in other materials, and for example synthetic of the family of plastics; this could be in particular the case of the tab 4c which could be an element independent of the rest of the support.
