Description

The invention relates to a folding bottom box with handles, consisting of a one-piece blank made of cardboard or cardboard, with a folding bottom, two end walls and two longitudinal walls, on the upper edge of which trapezoidal articulated from the respective articulation line longitudinal closure flaps, and with front closure flaps, the Bending lines are articulated to the upper edge of the end walls and diagonally folded to the longitudinal closure flaps and, when the box is erected, are designed to be folded inwards by 90 ° relative to the end walls.

Such an embodiment is known from US-A-3,927,824. Here, the front closure flaps are relatively long compared to the length measured between the articulation line and the free, shorter trapezoidal side of the longitudinal closure flaps. When the box is closed, the longitudinal closure flaps butt against one another with their free ends. The latter carry handles which, when the box is closed, are angled by approximately 90 ° to the longitudinal closure flaps and lie congruently against one another. To lock the two handles, a tab is punched out of one handle hole, which can be passed through the other handle hole and bent upwards.

Since the front flaps are about half as long as the longitudinal walls of the box, the box is closed on all sides when closed and is therefore not suitable e.g. because of the lack of ventilation. as a fruit or vegetable basket. Another disadvantage is that even after pulling apart the two handles or the longitudinal flaps carrying them, the interior of the box remains closed by the front flaps. It is therefore not possible to access the contents of the box with practically a single movement. In addition, this previously known folding bottom box is not suitable for stacking because of the handles that protrude upwards.

  • a) Die Stirnverschlußklappen sind gegenüber der zwischen der Anlenklinie und der freien kürzeren Trapezseite der Längsverschlußklappen gemessenen Länge relativ kurz ausgebildet;
  • b) bei verschlossener Schachtel überlappen sich die freien Enden der Längsverschlußklappen;
  • c) im mittleren Bereich der Längsverschlußklappen sind Tragegrifflöcher vorgesehen;
  • d) bei verschlossener Schachtel liegen die dem freien Ende der Längsverschlußklappen zugewandten Abschnitte der Umrandungen der Tragegrifflöcher im wesentlichen deckungsgleich aufeinander;
  • e) an die kurze freie Trapezseite der ersten Längsverschlußklappe ist eine Lasche über eine erste Biegelinie angelenkt;
  • f) an der Lasche ist im mittleren Bereich und auf der dem Hauptteil der ersten Längsverschlußklappe zugewandten Seite der ersten Biegelinie eine Zunge angeschnitten;
From US-A-2 659 526 a folding bottom box with shorter front flaps has become known, but this box is also closed on all sides in the closed state, so it is not suitable as a fruit or vegetable basket. This box also has handles that protrude upwards and therefore cannot be stacked. The invention has for its object to modify the folding bottom box explained above so that it can be used in particular as a fruit or vegetable basket. This object is achieved according to the invention by the following features:
  • a) The front closure flaps are relatively short compared to the length measured between the articulation line and the free, shorter trapezoidal side of the longitudinal closure flaps;
  • b) when the box is closed, the free ends of the longitudinal closure flaps overlap;
  • c) handle holes are provided in the central region of the longitudinal closure flaps;
  • d) when the box is closed, the sections of the borders of the handle holes facing the free end of the longitudinal closure flaps lie essentially congruently on top of one another;
  • e) a tab is articulated on the short free trapezoidal side of the first longitudinal closure flap via a first bending line;
  • f) a tongue is cut on the tab in the central region and on the side of the first bending line facing the main part of the first longitudinal closure flap;
  • g) the handle hole of the second longitudinal closure flap has on the inner edge facing its free trapezoidal side a bulge designed for inserting the tongue.

Schachtel.The handle holes are arranged according to the invention within the longitudinal closure flaps and thus form ventilation openings when the box is closed. The box ventilation is also ensured by the relatively short front flaps. Since the longitudinal closure flaps overlap somewhat when the box is closed, locking on the tongue mentioned is possible on the one hand, but on the other hand the box is nevertheless suitable for stacking. Despite the relatively large openings in the end cover area and the quick access to the contents of the box, the design of the front closure flaps gives the box a high degree of stability and a right-angled orientation. At the same time, the front closure flaps form the stacking rims for the packaging or box to be placed over each, if necessary.

  • Fig. 1 einen flachliegenden Zuschnitt zum Herstellen der erfindungsgemäßen Faltbodenschachtel;
  • Fig. 3 eine verschlossene Faltbodenschachtel.
Details and improvements and further developments of the invention are described with reference to the schematic drawing of an embodiment; show in it:
  • 1 shows a flat blank for producing the folding bottom box according to the invention;
  • 2 shows an erected folded-bottom box with a front closure flap which is folded in on one end wall and still unfolded on the other end wall; and
  • Fig. 3 is a closed folding bottom box.

The folding-bottom box according to the invention exists according to the flat cut Fig. 1 or according to the erected position of FIG. 2 from two longitudinal walls 1 and 2, two end walls 3 and 4 and a folding bottom 5. The latter is made of several to the lower edges of the longitudinal and end walls 1 to 4 articulated lower longitudinal and End flaps assembled, wherein one of the longitudinal flaps 5a of the bottom can be extended so that it covers almost the entire inner surface of the bottom.

Fig. 3). Trapezoidal longitudinal flaps 6 and 7 are hinged to the upper edges of the longitudinal walls 1 and 2. The longitudinal closure flaps 6 and 7 are so wide in the direction perpendicular to their bending or articulation line that they overlap in the middle of the box (in the closed state) over the width of the handle. End flaps 8 and 9 are hinged to the end walls 3 and 4 and are connected to the longitudinal closure flaps 6 and 7 via diagonal folds 10. The relatively narrow end flaps 8 and 9 connected both to the end walls 3 and 4 and via diagonal folds 10 to the longitudinal closure flaps 6 and 7 contribute considerably to stabilizing the entire box, since they cover both the surface of the end walls 3 and 4 and that of the longitudinal walls Support 1 and 2. The front closure flaps 8 and 9 can also be used as stacking rims when stacking several similar packages. In the middle area of the longitudinal closure flaps 6 and 7 there are carrying handle holes 11 and 12, the borders of which at the free end of the longitudinal closure flaps 6 and 7 can be placed essentially congruently with one another (cf. FIG. 3). On the short, free trapezoidal side of the first longitudinal closure flap 6, a tab 13 is articulated via a first bending line 14. A tongue 15 is cut to the tab 13 in the central region and on the side of the first bending line 14 facing the main part of the first longitudinal closure flap 6. Furthermore, the handle hole 12 of the other, second longitudinal closure flap 7 has, on the inner edge facing its free trapezoidal side, a bulge 16 designed for inserting the tongue 15. Since the tongue 15, when the flap 13 is turned slightly outward, becomes free on the inside (see FIG. 2), so the tongue 15 engages in the cutout 16 of the latter when the first longitudinal closure flap 6 is placed over the second longitudinal closure flap 7. In addition to the handle holes 11 and 12, the two longitudinal closure flaps 6 and 7 each have, for example, two ventilation or inspection openings 17.

The link 13 hinged to the first longitudinal closure flap 6 has a second bending line 18 running parallel to the first bending line 14 outside the free trapezoidal side of the longitudinal closing flap 6, such that the tab 13 passes over this second bending line 18 when the tongue 15 is inserted into the cutout 16 of the grip hole 12 of the second longitudinal closure flap 7 can be rolled into this grip hole 12.

To finally close and secure the cover of the folding bottom box, the tab 13 of the first longitudinal closure flap 6 has lateral projections 19, the mutual distance of which is greater than the width of the handle hole 12 measured parallel to the free trapezoidal side of the second longitudinal closure flap 7. The tab 13 can thus be locked in the grip hole 12 when it is rolled into the grip hole 12 with the aid of its projections 19.

To reinforce the handle of the folding bottom box, a grip hole reinforcement tab 20 can also be used, which can be articulated on the inside of the outer edge of the grip hole 11 of the first longitudinal closure flap 6 via a third bending line 21. This grip hole reinforcing tab 20 is preferably angled inwards when the container is carried. The tab 13 and the grip hole reinforcing tab 20 are expediently designed such that they lie, in particular at an angle, against one another.

The actuation, in particular the opening and closing, of the longitudinal closure flaps 6 and 7 of the folding bottom box is facilitated if perforations or incisions 22 are provided in the articulation lines between the longitudinal closure flaps 6 and 7 and the longitudinal walls 1 and 2.
