Буровой раствор на водной основе содержит в качестве добавки один или более алкилэтоксилатов, имеющих формулу RO (CHCHO)Н, в котором радикал R представляет собой C-алкильную группу (предпочтительно R является алифатическим и более предпочтительно R является линейным), и индекс n представляет собой целое число в диапазоне 2-30. Раствор дополнительно содержит один или более загустителей и, по существу, не содержит глины.
