The process of extraction of oxygen-containing substances is a process of liquid-liquid extraction, which is carried out in an extraction column using as a solvent a mixture of methanol and water, in which the extract from the process of liquid-liquid extraction is sent to a column for solvent recovery, from which the resulting light fractions, including methanol, olefins and paraffins are returned to the extraction column, thereby improving the overall recovery of olefins and paraffins.
