Description
The invention relates to the field of electrophysics, in particular to plasma diagnostic technology, and can be used to assess the state of plasma in instruments and devices intended for processing objects, including biological objects and materials in order to change the properties of their surfaces, as well as cleaning and disinfection.
There is a known spectroscopic method for plasma diagnostics, based on recording and analyzing the characteristics of the spectra of electromagnetic radiation of the plasma [1]. Using the obtained spectra, the spatiotemporal distributions of almost all plasma parameters are found in the widest ranges of their values. The disadvantage of this method is the difficulty of relating plasma parameters to directly measured intensities and a significant dependence on the types of statistical distributions of particles and radiation, which are not known in advance. Therefore, spectroscopic studies are carried out in three stages. First, a model of the plasma state is established and plasma diagnostic methods acceptable within the framework of this model are selected, then these methods are implemented, and then the obtained measurement results are interpreted and the adequacy of the model is monitored.
The closest in technical essence to the proposed invention is the probe method, based on active probing of the plasma under study with a low-intensity current [2]. The essence of the method is that a metal conductor - a probe of various shapes: flat, cylindrical or spherical - is placed in the plasma. Using an external voltage source, the probe potential is set relative to one of the electrodes initiating the discharge, which is most often located at zero potential. The dependence of the probe current on the potential applied to it is recorded, i.e. the probe current-voltage characteristic (CVC) is taken, which is used to judge the concentration of plasma electrons. The disadvantage of this type of device is that the probe current is recorded for a transient mode, which leads to an error in determining the current-voltage characteristic and, consequently, in calculations of plasma concentration and temperature.
The objective of this invention is to improve the accuracy of plasma diagnostics and quantitative assessment of the plasma state in real time in a stationary mode and during interaction with objects.
The task is achieved due to the fact that in the proposed method of plasma diagnostics, the dependences of instantaneous voltages in the primary U1(t) and/or secondary U2(t) windings of the step-up transformer are recorded, the signal from which is supplied to the first and second electrodes of the discharge system for plasma generation and dependencies of instantaneous currents flowing respectively through the first I1(t) and second I2(t) electrodes of the discharge system, and then, based on them, calculate the amplitude-frequency K(ω) and phase-frequency φ(ω) characteristics of the plasma-object system and electrical powers P21=U2xI1, P11=U1xI1, P22=U2xI2, P12=U1xI2, released on the plasma, including reactive and active powers, then, according to known methods for processing the calculated characteristics, the dynamics of the plasma parameters are determined.
A comparative analysis with known methods shows that the claimed invention uses electrical signals that generate plasma and are measured in the primary and/or secondary windings of a step-up transformer for plasma diagnostics. The absence of probe electrodes ensures the accuracy of measurements; processing of the obtained values using classical methods of electrical engineering provides a description of the dynamics of the plasma state in real time.
The figure shows a block diagram of a device for generating and diagnosing a dielectric barrier discharge plasma based on a dielectric barrier discharge, which contains a pulse generator 1, a signal conditioner 2, a voltage sensor in the primary winding 3, a step-up transformer 4, a voltage sensor in the secondary winding 5, the first 6 and second 7 current sensors, discharge unit 8 with first 9 and second 10 electrodes, signal recorder 11. The signal from the output of pulse generator 1 is fed to signal shaper 2, which generates a signal with a shape optimal for igniting atmospheric plasma. Next, the signal arrives through step-up transformer 4 to the first 9 and second 10 electrodes of the discharge unit 8, which generates an atmospheric plasma of a dielectric barrier discharge. In this case, the signal voltage values in the primary and/or secondary winding of the step-up transformer 4, read from sensors 3 and 5, as well as current signals flowing through the first 9 and second 10 electrodes of the discharge unit 8, read respectively from the first 6 and second 7 current sensors are recorded in signal recorder 11. The interaction of plasma with an object can be represented as a linear stationary system with one input (plasma supply voltage) and one output (plasma supply current). If restrictions on changes in frequency, amplitude, and shape are imposed on the signal supplied to the electrodes, then it is permissible to consider the system under study linear. Then, to diagnose the state of the plasma, a method based on calculating the transfer function and calculating the frequency characteristics of the circuit can be applied if the linearity of the system under study is assumed.
[3]:The frequency characteristics of a linear circuit reflect its response to harmonic influence. They are determined by complex transfer functions [3]:
