Abstract

The invention relates to the field of assembled metal-cuttings tools. The proposed structure uses so-called "tangential" RCs characterized by the fact that the basic component of the cutting force is directed at a tangent to main basic plane of RC and the holes for fixation are located in its back surface. The proposed HGC structure comprises a cylindrical body, cartridges in the form of segments, tangential RCs, fixing bolts and screws. In the proposed structure, the accuracy of positioning the cutting edge is determined by the accuracy of making a spiral groove on the body and accuracy of positioning the basic surfaces of a seat for RC in the cartridge in relation to the basic screw-shaped lug. Besides that, the proposed structure is broadly universal one because the cartridges in different number, of different shape, size and design can be attached to the same body.
