Abstract

In a device for remote control of load trimming valves 3, which are actuated by means of valve adjustment devices 4 and are located in loading lines 11 to cargo holds, especially cargo holds in tanker ships, in which the valve adjustment devices 4 and the load trimming valves 3 are fitted over the entire ship, a number of valve control units 10 are each designed to operate a number of valve adjustment devices 4 by controlling the valve adjustment devices 4 and hence the load trimming valves 3 by way of hydraulic oil lines 9. The valve control unit 10 comprises a hydraulic oil pressure source 30 and hydraulic valves 21, 22 for controlling the flows of hydraulic oil in the hydraulic oil lines 9. The valve control unit 10 furthermore comprises a pneumatic valve block 30 so as to actuate the hydraulic valves by means of compressed air. The pneumatic valve block 13 is supplied with compressed air from an external compressed air source. The valve control unit 10 further comprises an electronic block 11 for actuating the pneumatic valves in the pneumatic valve block 13 by means of electrical current. <IMAGE>
