Abstract

The process uses natural gas which is passed in the form of a gas through at least one feed well (6, 15) into the groundwater upstream of the groundwater removal point (9). The natural gas can be passed together with gaseous carbon dioxide and a nutrient solution into the groundwater pipe (12). It is also possible for gaseous oxygen to be passed through further feed wells (2) into the groundwater. <IMAGE>
